Success storys at WA

I would like to make mention that there are some that think that writing here on Posts is all about our success storys at WA. Although they are very empowering to help other move along and uplift your spirits and also help with great tips on how to do it. All these have great value. But I could like to make note that there are a few that think writing about our personal lives is something very similar to FB, Twitter, Instagram and other social Media sites, and Is irrelevant to this platform.

There are only so many ways to tell how great this Platform is and if we only use this out let there would not be a platform to come to because everybody would be telling the same story

Those that think that way I have a great respect for and a great admiration because they do inspire and up lift they are the back bone of WA. But there is another aspect that is very important to our personal growth here.

Writing no matter what it will be about!

This is called personal growth, there are many nations from all over the globe that are writing not in there native language. I could name a few that have become very personal friends I take my hat of to them because they have become very strong in there own ways and have gone on to made extraordinary websites all because they have had there time here at WA working to prefect there personal drawbacks with language barriers.

There are others that talk about there furry friends or the weather or personal struggles or story tellers. We cannot use FB or any other social media as an example. Do you know how hard it is for people to open up on social media it doesn't even come close to WA most people think that a like is enough so they don't have to comment. But commenting is your biggest asset you need that to show people you care about what they write you care about there success you care about there personal drawbacks. We see and pick up there energy we are not only building a website we are building character.

  • Integrity.
  • Honesty.
  • Loyalty.
  • Respectfulness.
  • Responsibility.
  • Humility.
  • Compassion.
  • Fairness.

These are al qualities that are needed in a good website so that people will trust you and keep coming back.

Always a better way may have been deleted but it is present in all that we do.

Thanks Linda, I wrote something personal on Mother's Day. I thought about not doing it but I thought if its something I would share with my face to face friends then I would share on line. But the topic on Mother's Day was relevant so I posted.

I agree with what you are saying, just as much as we grow our business, we are human too with all the fickledness that comes with it.Two heads are better than one. Thanks Jen

Thank Jennifer it seems that most of the conversation here is around what should or shouldn't post. but most of us are in accordance.
I also like to take into account those that their mother tong isn't English and this gives them the chance to practise.

Linda

Jennifer I would also like to say that your mother's day wishes are acceptable. What I wrote is that some think that this isn't on the subject on the platform but most of us feel that these are natural human feeling and we are a community that all writing is a natural for of getting over our shiness in posting and is a good way to get over this just write we will respond.

Writing is how our websites work and the better that we are talking to your protentional clients is by talking to them as if they are there with you. The same as talking to the community.

always a better way Linda

Thanks LInda. Have agreat weekend. Jen

Thanks for sharing.
I beg to agree and disagree,I have known times I`ve been forced to unfollow members because (sorry to say this) I get tired of having to read their stories.
It`s ok to share your life and your stories, but I have also known members who will share and share sometimes 2-3 times a day, not about their online journey, but about this and that all unrelated to online marketing and you know what, I got tired of it I unfollowed them because it came so predictable that any time I get an message from WA that one of the people I follow has a new post, there was no time I read anything about internetwork on their posts.
Please don`t misunderstand, it`s ok to post personal issues, I know I have several times, but, WA is not for that, so we should try to mix things up.
But if my goal is to share about my ............sunsets, cats and whatever and nothing about my online journey or something to encourage others then I might as well be on FB.

That`s just my opinion

That's what I was tried to convey too in my last post too.

It's not against rules or something, and you can still share your stories and such but still find a way to make it useful to people (Kyle's posts as an example). Doesn't have to be success stories.

When people post 5 times a day about random stuff or try to beat each other for the WA ranking/ambassadorship spot, that's when it becomes a problem. As a fellow WA said, it's like there is a popularity content among those members.

Roamy you are entitled to your opinion and you have the option to unfollow those that you feel is not of your interests. This is your prerogative and you have 2M people here that you can follow.

That is the beauty of WA, you are the captain of your own ship not everybody will see eye to eye.

Sometime a story will illustrate the progress that another member has had. We all work at a different pace and at a different level. Some are more advanced than others. If the more advanced members can lend a hand by example we are well blessed.

All I am saying is writing is and always will be your asset in your own work. Here you have proven that by communicating with the rest of the members.

Always a better way Linda

Thanks
As said, I too do share personal stories, I`ve shared a personal story of being distracted by my husband when working from home, nothing there to do with online marketing at all.
I`ve shared several posts about how I can now just go shopping for girly things without budgeting like before or how I can now decide on a whim to take a city break somewhere in Europe(because I`m in Europe) without having to pinch pennies thanks to WA and what I learned here.
What I`m saying is, let`s have a balance. Every single post on this platform is interesting to someone in a different way and let`s hope it stays that way, balanced and interesting.
But the good thing with WA, we`re free to post what we want to share, so it`s ok, everyone can post what they want, we`re free to read or chose to pass that post and that`s the beauty of it.

I hear you and I appreciate your input this is what WA is all about sharing

I have a feeling this post was written as a response to my comment on this in my latest post. (I voiced out what many people here think, to be honest.)

Practicing writing is great but, constructively speaking, it'll definitely bring more value for you personally if you practice it on your website. Because the more content you write and publish on your site, the faster you'll see attract your audience and achieve your money goals!

Another point I'd like to add:

Don't get me wrong, you CAN use life events and personal stories but it'll be more valuable if you still somehow tie it to business and growth online.

If you Kyle's posts, he's awesome at doing just that. Whether it's Covid-19 or breaking the finger, he still turned his writing into valuable pieces of content here with some inspiration and gold nuggets.

Or, say, how you turned/used your struggles to get to where you are now.

I myself used my accident story but I also shared what I did during the darkest time of my life and also inspire others. Storytelling can be very powerful!

Just my humble opinion, hope you don't take it personally, Linda.

P.S. A lot of people (especially newbies) focus on WA ranking here, and not do all know that it has nothing to do with one's site success/ranking in Google.

Yes, Zarina I did read your post and I thought it was very proactive. Because you used your story to illustrate the thing not to do by your own example. This is very important. A Newbie will find that out very quickly here as you did, this is called growth. You not only shared your story but share how that came about.

You found your way and shared that experience. Others will find there way and will share there story.

Everything that is created on this platform is towards you said it in your own words "valuable if you still somehow tie it to business and growth online." everything we do here is tied to our growth online.

no Zarina I don't take it personally I admire you for speaking out that is what this platform is all about

thanks for your humble opinion
Linda

Excellent post, Linda! Very true!
And writing here really does not compare to social media, because we are surrounded by likeminded people who understand each other's journeys. Those likeminded people are not always in our immediate circle of friends and family.

I stopped sharing my personal journey on FB some time ago, even though I have family on it. Social media has been re-delegated to business and networking :-) And they work great for my websites.

Thanks, Christine, very well said here we are working to understand social media. Here I can get involved with people on a greater like-minded level. On social media, they really don't care only doing their own thing.

Here we learn tools that will help in conquering the online world and will be better prepared to face the social media.

Linda

This is a brilliant post, Linda. I'm one of those whose native language isn't English and I appreciate I can share my genuine thoughts and practise writing on this platform.

You are so right, writing here doesn't even come close to writing on social media. I don't like Facebook and never know what to write there, many people just show off there and many are negative, the atmosphere and energy there is completely different.

I think it comes down to the fact we have dreams and goals and strive to be better, unlike majority of people. This platform just shouldn't be used for success stories only, people should be able to share their thoughts as well.

Unfortunately, there are a few of those here too, Lenka!

They think that this is ONLY about business--nothing could be further from the truth! I've been in business for over 30 years--28 as a locksmith, and I have a great rapport with all my customers.

They tell me it's so refreshing having me as their locksmith because our friendship builds trust. There must be a balance.

After all, all work and no play makes ___________ a dull Boy/Girl!

I like writing here because I feel I have made a GREAT many friends--I include you as one--and perfectly understand if any of them blow past one of my ramblings--it's cool that we can do that if necessary!

I treasure my success to being a human being as opposed to strictly being an automaton! In the university, we all chatted and joked in addition to our coursework--it's part of becoming a well rounded individual!

Just my thoughts!

Jeff

Well formulated, Jeff! We are human beings, not money-making machines only. We are supposed to support and encourage each other.
Thanks for your thoughts!
L.

Lenka, precisely, I have met so many like-minded persons here and I am humbled to be able to share with you. You have been able to see past and make a brilliant comment that will help others coming into WA that their native language isn't English.

Where are you from? Linda

Jeff, they are wonderful thoughts and many here appreciate you as do I Love Linda

You're very welcome, Lenka! They are from my heart, as are all of yours!

Jeff

I'm from Czech Republic, Linda, very small country :) But we have a great history and some great inventors like Otto Wichterle who invented soft contact lenses. Also the word "robot" comes from a Czech writer originally.
I've always loved the English language though and I even see mistakes in writing of native speakers :)
I think people shouldn't be afraid to write here whatever they want, practice makes perfect and after all, we are all paid members with the same rights.

I know Jeff, and that's always the best! I appreciate your friendship and enjoy reading about your everyday work, your family etc. It's refreshing!

I have friends here from all over the world Lenka and I love and appreciate them very much. Know I can add the Czech Republic to my list.

I appreciate your words and your Engish is very good. I am Canadian but lived in Central America for 31 years my children are Latinos we now live in Canada with my daughter and my grandson.

I am blond as you can see by my picture but my Family is very Latino because their ancestry has African decency. Canadians are very tolerant of mixed bloodlines.

I am very blessed for my time amongst the Latinos because they provided a sense of balance to my life. I see people as they are not the colour of there skin. We are a great world family all were created equal. Boarders have no meaning to me. One member said it very well a world citizen without borders
great to make your acquaintance.

I will be leaving WA this month I wrote my story in 4 segments and the reason for leaving that has nothing to do with WA.
I am very proud of WA and that it is a world organization and is also a Canadian based company from my Province of British Columbia.

Enjoy your journey Lenka and make lots of friends Always a better way Linda

Thank you very much, Linda! Somehow I completely missed your presence here, I have focused on creating content for my website and was also discouraged from writing a bit because of the discussions on what should or shouldn't be topic of WA posts.

I've found some amazing people I can call friends here as well and if it wasn't for them, I would probably still be quietly working and missing WA writing and commenting. It also made me realize each of us is different, has different values and should never compare themselves with anyone else.

It's a shame you are leaving. I've read your last five posts and can tell that you are a person with a strong sense of what's good or bad and values that are probably very rare in this world. I understand your love to Latinos because I love the nature of Spanish people (never been to Latin America but me and my boyfriend go to Spain every year). They really can enjoy life!

I hope we can stay in contact on social media at least, even though I don't use any of them much but I do have accounts on all of them.

My road will be determined, I have my faith that it will be so. and yes I have learned to tolerate social Media and know now my way around it so yes I will be present there.

I appreciate your words Zenka I can tell that we would have struck up a great friendship. I haven't always been present in WA because I took time out to finish my book. I have only been present these last couple of months and when I came back I ran into a whole different group of people. stay tuned for my next post because of it my pet peeve.

Thanks for reading my posts that means a lot and shows character.

Always a better way Linda

Thank you very much, Lenka! I love hearing from you!

Jeff
