Where have I been the past 2 and a half weeks, luckily it has a good ending
I don't know whether this is an apology to let everyone following me know why I haven't answered or responded to anything in the past 2 and a half weeks or whether I would just like to share with all my WA friends what has been happening in my life that was such a huge thing that I was gone for more than 2 weeks.
On Saturday 2 January our new year made a drastic turn. My hubby's work phoned and said that he was taken to hospital with a pain in his chest.
Because we don't have a medical aid, he had to go to the Government Hospital and here in South Africa that is something to be scared of already. If they don't loose the patients, they just don't help them at casualties and they die right there. I asked everybody I could think of to start praying that he will be helped.
After 3 hours at the small hospital, he was taken with the ambulance to the bigger hospital where he waited in casualties for another 4 hours after wich they sent him to ICU.
There they said that he will have to go to Bloemfontein that is where the heart specialists are, but for some reason they would have sent him on Sunday, but decided not to. They said he had a lung infection and they will not accept him there with it, they have to clear it up first.
Sunday during the night, his heart stopped twice and he was revived twice. Now you must know, this is already a miracle if you consider what I said about the Government hospitals here in SA.
They put him on life support machines and organized for him to be flown by chopper to Bloemfontein. The chopper only arrived in the afternoon and the Doctor who flies with the patients told me that they did not share the full complexity of everything with me, because, during the morning, his hearts stopped another 5 times. He said that they are going to try their best to get him to Bloemfontein alive. Because it would take me allot longer to get there than it would the chopper, they said they will phone me as soon as they landed and got him into the hospital.
We came home and started packing. They phoned, they got him there and he was still alive. They asked my permission to do some procedures and I said they must to whatever they have to in order to save my hubby.
The kids and I went to Bloemfontein and arrived hours later. When we got there, he was still on the life-support, but they said he was stable. They put in stents because his main artery collapsed.
Thereafter things just got better, they removed the life-support the next day, but there was still a machine keeping his heart pumping, which was only removed after 3 days.
Now, we are back at home and he is growing stronger day by day.
During this time he was in hospital, I did not read any emails or did not work on any of my websites - I was just concerned about him. I sat at the hospital all day until they chased me away late at night.
Everybody prayed for us and I think you will agree that the fact that he is still with us is a huge miracle. I thank my Father for this miracle and carrying us (the kids and me) through this difficult time.
But we're back and ready for the hard work again.
Please, take care of your health my WA friends

Hi Linda
Love and strength to you and your family to get through this trying time.
I'm in Saldanha just 150kms out of Cape Town so I know what you mean about our hospitals. You're lucky not to catch something in there fighting for your life!
Hi,
Thank you so much.
Yes, that is so true, I can say another miracle, none of us caught anything else.

Jeeh Linda! You've had angels all around your family! Very good to hear your husband is strengthening bit by bit.
May this luck be staying on your side!
Hey Linda I am so glad to hear that you all are doing much better. It is understood that at a time of crises that what ever we are doing it has to cease and the crises is the most important at that time. I'm glad you are back and may your husband and you and your family remain in good health and prosperity. Let's keep reaching upward and we will meet at the top my friend.
Your friend,
Greg P.
Hi,
Thank you so much, now I feel better for neglecting everything I was working on ( I must still figure out where I was last and take things from there).
Love it, see you at the top,

You are indeed welcome. Life can sometimes come at us in spurts and then there are the gushes of good and gushes of madness. I hope this time is well past you now. Bringing that smile out is one of the very best remedies.
Hope to see you and more of you as things continue to settle.
Linda
