I don’t see why a chrome book would stop you using Amazon.
As for the Denver thing, does Amazon not like Denver..I am not a US resident…..but you could always install a VPN ( virtual private network) and Amazon wouldn’t know the machine or location. And you can get free VPN’s.
Good luck

Hey there, I might ask you to proofread my posts now lol. Anyway, I think all I needed to do was clear my cache. Only thing is, the Amazon header I get doesn't have banners or the product images with the price tag. It does have an option to add a link when I search for individual products. But is this normal not to have the orange header above like it used to? I can make this work, but more of a pain.

Hey Jason,
You MAY find the following video tutorial helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbwreJP0EBs&t=8s
OR you could try the following...
Here's how you can address this:
1. Verify SiteStripe Activation: Ensure that SiteStripe is enabled in your Amazon Associates account:
* Log into your Amazon Associates account.
* Navigate to Account Settings.
* Select Associates SiteStripe Options.
* Confirm that the Display Status is set to "On".
2. Confirm Account Consistency: SiteStripe functions only when you're signed into the Amazon account linked to your Associates account. Verify that you're logged into the correct account on Amazon's main site.
3. Adjust Browser Location Settings: Your Chromebook's location settings might be affecting SiteStripe's functionality. To modify these settings:
* Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top-right corner.
* Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings.
* Under Permissions, select Location.
* Ensure that Amazon's website is allowed to access your location.
4. Check Router Location Configuration: If your router is set to a different location, it can cause discrepancies. Access your router's settings to verify its location configuration and adjust if necessary.
5. Disable Pop-Up Blockers: Pop-up blockers can interfere with SiteStripe. Ensure that pop-ups are allowed for Amazon's website in your browser settings.
6. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies: Accumulated cache and cookies can sometimes cause issues. Clearing them might resolve the problem:
* In Chrome, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data.
* Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files, then click Clear data.
If these steps don't resolve the issue, consider reaching out to Amazon Associates support for further assistance.
Hope you find this useful.
Thanks, I think I fixed it, except I don't get the Orange-colored Sitestripe header, but a different header. It does let me add links to products I search for tho so it's functional. Clearing the cache seemed to do it. Cheers

Hey Jason,
My guess is you created a new design and used an image as the background of that image?
IF there is nothing else on that design (other than the background image) it will not download. This is because you have not "made it your own creation".
I see this issue all the time..
Simple add something else to the design (font, graphic etc) and you should be able to download it without any issue.
Don't know if you did it yet. But deactivate the "Kraken Image" plugin in your back office. I was uploading and getting blanks until I deactivated it..
Hey Larry, unfortunately that didn't work. I got it to work but what I was doing was just putting an image in the background of Canva and that was all I was trying to do.
Apparently, according to Magistudios, I wasn't doing enough to "make the image my own" by just putting the image in the background. It can't actually download that way so I needed to add something to the Canva image such as a font or graphic.
I put my website name in the corner as the extra "font" nd it worked. Maybe you should try that too if you haven't already. The Kraken plugin is really important for page load speed.
Save the image to your desktop or mobile and then you can upload from there to your media library 👍🏼💯
Jay helped me. What I was doing was just changing an image in the Canva background and trying to download it after that. Canva apparently can't just download like that because it doesn't have anything to "attach" to.
Magistudios told me I just needed to add an extra bit of text or a graphic to "make the image my own". I did that and it worked. I appreciate your help though.

The one I have is taking up too much space and smushing my top menu in. This makes the menu be two-layered. Is there a plugin or something for a smaller one?
Hey Jason,
In the past, whenever I discovered a WordPress theme that I just had to stick with, but needed alterations, I would reach out to the WordPress theme developer for advice on doing things like reducing the search bar... or even relocating it to the sidebar.
For the most part, theme developers want users to continue using their themes... and GeneratePress Pro is one such developer.
They have an amazing support team of experts to help their users who log into their platform and ask for whatever type of customization you might want.
If you're using GeneratePress Pro already, try searching the internet for something like this:
"reduce search bar width on GeneratePress"
(without the quotation marks, of course)
...and you may find there have already been a number of tickets put in and have been answered for just that.
AND...
You may even get lucky and find ONE that offers you exactly what you're wanting. Voila! Your problem will be solved.
If not... then sign into their platform and make your request known.
I'm sure you'll be amazed at how helpful the GeneratePress support team are.
Hope you find this helpful.
This will be dependant on which theme you are using.
Go to Appearance > Widgets
From there you will see all your widget positions, basically blocks on your site where you can put stuff in and have it appear on your site in that position.
See if there is a Top, Header or something that would signify the top of your site.
You can then add a search block there.
could you add it to the sidebar rather than at the top.....
if it is within generatepress can you adjust how it looks through appearance>>customize.....
How to get a smaller search bar across the top of my website?

How are you supposed to do Meta title and Meta Description? I am only up to the training on keywords so do I just need to go deeper into the training? My computer seems to not
Hi Jason
You ask "How are you supposed to do Meta title and Meta Description?"
Are you asking what tool etc to use, or what to put in them?
I see that Andy (@incomelegion) has answered what to include.
Google will show 155 to 160 characters of the Meta Description (it varies because Google measure it in pixels and different characters have different pxl widths). As Andy says it's 60 for the Meta Title.
However, as far as Google is concerned, the number of characters is not very important. What makes a difference is what is included in the characters that show. So make sure you include all relevant and salient information in the shown characters.
Also, be aware that Google will create their own description based on their bot's understanding of your post; creating a Meta description influences what is presented in the search engine results but is no guarantee.
If you're asking where or what tool to use to update them, then you use the simplest way is via your SEO tool. Are you using SEO Framwework as provided by WA?
;-)
Richard
The meta title should be short, descriptive, include your keyword, and hold emotional value. The Description should describe the content with a repeat of the keyword in a natural tone. I believe it is 180 characters for description and 60 or less for title.
