Hello to all who read this.
I'm an entrepreneur at heart. I built my first business when I was 16 years old. I built my first website business in 1994. In 1997 I built my first successful website business.
I am currently working on a new business site that brings everything together along with new media marketing. Which I really don't have a full grasp on at this time. So, the best thing to do is find people who do have that knowledge.
For my own experience I have experience in photography, video and video editing, music production, and building websites. I was a financial planner, worked in insurance and mortgages, military veteran, gymnastics coach, and martial art instructor. The profile photo used is when I was an over the road truck driver.
I've done just about every extreme sport there is. Sky diving, scuba diving, rock climbing, bungee jumping, motor cycle racing, to name a few.
I just added two websites that I created (under website links). They are not fully complete (are websites ever complete?). They still have some work to be done to them.
I do most of my graphic work, music, video and video editing for the sites I work on.

QUESTION #1: How much money would you be happy earning?
Well, let's see. Realistically it is totally possible to earn an extra $600 per month. I've done that. So, to up the stakes let's say I will be happy with $2,500. That may be pushing it a little, but it's doable.
QUESTION #2: How much would you be ecstatic earning?
Ecstatic. Interesting choice of words. Well, let's just go big and say $8,888 per month. That equals $100,000 per year. It's not going to happen overnight or in the next few months. Then again, I've seen it happen. You said ecstatic, that would get me ecstatic.
QUESTION #3: And how much TIME are you willing to invest to achieve these goals?
If I'm not at work I'm on the web either researching or building my site. I'm not looking for any golden key, or the next big "thing" I'm just doing my homework. I invest as much time as is necessary to achieve my goals. I haven't miss a goal yet.

Hi thank you for your follow. It's nice to meet you. You have a very interesting profile and I look forward to connecting with you more

A few things I left off my profile is that I have a couple of books published. Designed and published a magazine (digital and print), and I write movie scripts, on spec.
To see another author is kind of a treat. So far I have run across a graphic designer, musician, app creator, and a radio producer as well.

Yep WA certainly does have a massive talent pool. You never know who you are going to meet next. It is great!Oh wow. That's quite an impressive list of accomplishments you have. I'm just learning how to write scripts at the moment but in very early stages. I just started to day. It is so different to writing books. How long have you been writing scripts for and what genre?

Been writing for about 7 years now. I go for drama-suspence (action drama) mainly. But I have written for kids, crime, and sci-fi. I have done a political piece. Not that great at comedy though.
I am working on a lead right now for a World War Two action book conversion.

Hi I'm so sorry for such a late reply however must of missed this. That's awesome! Well done! Yeah I'm not that great at comedy either but I always try to add a little humour to my books to lighten them. Whilst it is not the extent where people will roll around laughing I'd like to think it makes them smile. Do you have any tips on how to break into the industry? I'm planning to turn one of my books into a script but I'm finding very different to the book publishing world. Any tips would be be much appreciated. Thanks

Breaking in is very hard to do. You submit your scripts directly to producers. You have to follow industry standards to the letter, or the script will be automatically rejected. The script goes through the screener, then the reader, then to the producer.
If you would like your script to be read and get reviewed you can go to Triggerstreet.com and other script writers will review it for you. Take what you can get for a re-write, and then submit to producers.

That's awesome.
Make sure you have the proper cover, spine cover, and bradding (one at top, one at bottom.) I had a script rejected because of improper brads. The only way I found out was a screener called me about the script.
You can get a listing of all the current production companies from "Th Writers Store." It's a publication put out every year and costs about $35 if I remember right.

Thanks. That fantastic advice. It sounds like it is well worth getting what you suggested. I will do a search for this. Thank you so much for all of your help. You've been great. Are you working on anything now? How long does it normally take you to complete a script?

Not working on anything at the time. I have some projects started, but hit a wall with what to do with the characters. One script I have no idea how to get started.
I've completed a script in 2 weeks with a partner. It was a total bust though.
By myself I've done a good one, with a re-write in about 6 months. If you get the book "Save The Cat" it will really help in laying out the story. Along with saving you lots of time.

Not a problem. I just posted a link to one of my sites so people can see some of my work.
I just finished up working on 8 articles for my new site (not yet live) and now I'm linking those together with internal links. Next I have to create the internal member area, then create and edit the video, then make the online class areas, then....
Ugh, it's a huge project.

Logo took about 3 days to do. It's a generic one that is style specific. My company (branding) logo is at the bottom. I also placed it on my profile.
If you have any questions on how I do something or the programs I use let me know. At the very least I can point you in the right direction.

I'm a Mac user but a lot of the programs I use cross over.
Gimp is a free photo editing program. I also use Inkscape which creates some basic vector graphics - good for logo work.
I get "free for commercial use" images from Pixabay. You don't want a lawsuit from using copyrighted material.
You can also search CreativeCommons for photo's, images, and music that you can use as well.

Thanks for the invite. Most of what is in the basic startup area I already know. Maybe just a different way of looking at things really, which is an eye opener. When I get to the more in-depth things I will probably have questions.
Until then I hope my insights help others achieve their goals/dreams.
