YouTube Video Relevance Ranking

If you read my Website Rank Secrets then you will be familiar with this tip.
If you have a YouTube video, and it's not pulling traffic you can use the same exact techniques to pull up your ranking.

1. Go to Google and type in your keyword/phrase
2. Right behind the phrase type or paste your video URL
3. Click on the your video link and watch the video.
4. Get everyone you know to do the same.

So, if I had a video on widget building and it wasn't ranking. I would type the following into Google.

widget building http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd9SpFoc0o8

What this does is it has google do a search for a keyword/phrase and that URL. When it returns the results and you click on that result, it tells google that the phrase is relevant to that URL. Or, in this case the video is relevant to that phrase.

Now this only works if you watch the entire video. If you don't the bounce is recorded by google that the phrase is not as relevant as it thought. You cancel out all the work you just did.

Do this a couple times a day for about a week and watch your video climb up the google search returns. Don't forget to have friends and family help you. The more diverse the search DNS addresses the better. This way google doesn't see that it's relevant to only one person.
