Awesome achievement - writing a blog post every day, that is some achievement. It can take months for a post or an article to be ranked.

There are two parts to the process for Google. Google sends out bots to find new content, that is what Google does, it searches for new web content. When it finds your first piece, whether it is an article or your about me page, it doesn't know what to do with it.

Google can have no way of knowing whether you are going to become a serious authority blogger or post one post a year. Or indeed, will you abandon the website after that one article?

So Google puts that page on 1,894,567 of its search engines. In other words, lost to all effective searches. No one scrolls down to page 10, never mind further down than that.

When Google finds new content it noes it but still doesnt quite know where to put it. When you have written a post a day for maybe a month , then Google thinks this may be interesting.

Then after a few months, Google gets the message that you are serious , you are writing serious content. So it will allocate a page rank to one article. It may be on page 57, but for the first time it has something that works as a point of reference. If you continue writing, then it will rank another post and this will increase

There are a lot of factors as to how fast content ranks . The niche is important, as is keyword research. Are you using phrases in your. article that people are looking for?

Try not to give up hope. Try and put it put of your mind. The process works trust the process. Every moment you are worried about rank is a moment lost. You could be using that moment to write quality content

Howdy and great feedback.

You're definitely on the right track.

I know that was something I struggled with when I first started, writing every single day just to speed things up, but not seeing rankings or clicks in the search engines.

This is a massive blow to your motivation which is why you shouldn't worry about rankings at all for at least 1 - 3 months.

Right now you should be focusing on writing unique content and becoming the expert in your niche, so that Google has no choice but to choose you over anyone else. Overtime rankings and money will come. You've got this.

Unless your website has been crawled and indexed, which yours might be or might not be, this is perfectly normal. You have to know that there are millions of websites on the World Wide Web. Yours can be differentiated with good quality content, and unqiue perspectives, which is where good keyword research comes in.

Keep doing what you are doing consistently. Around the six month mark you will have substantially more content, and then you will start gaining traction. While doing this, completing the training will also be a good thing to do, and you will likely learn even more from that. Just my two cents, Louis! You are on the right track.

Jeff

Thank you very much.!

You're very welcome, Louis!

Jeffery , I think my issue of not being indexed on my 1st website ( my other two are indexed by Google) I think it could be confusing. It's a mixture of different subjects " Melanie's Multi Goods. I write reviews and short stories about different subjects my main subject is Professional Baking, so I add recipes. But I also write reviews on Dog Food/recalls. I am trying to make a section on the homeless comeback how they're integrating into the Food Industry. So how would I go about this. Now in my affiliate bootcamp their is a video teaching us about menu's and how to add widgets however I do not understand it. Soooooo, I think it all adds up to adding widgets for my different subjects in one website. Then if Google understands my method maybe they will index it? I hope this is understandable .

I understand what you are saying, Melanie! When I first tried the Affiliate marketing approach (I came here orginally for the excellent Hosting and Site Support) I wanted to esentially do the same thing you are trying on that one dite, but then found that it became a bit dilluted.

Most of my money made online has come form my eBay store, which over the last 20 years had grossed about $132K. I still have that store, but in recent years, it has not done so well, yet I still persevere there. I was told that niches for AM sites should remain more restricted if they wanted the Google Love.

I'm not saying that it won't work, but I have other passions that I am pursuing right now, such as my book promotion site that will promote the books that I've written which are on Amazon's KDP platform.

I also have a bare bones Woo Commerce site set up too, but have not added any of the varied inventory I have on it yet. There is only so much time in the day.

At some point, I might resurrect a niche site and pursue sometihng in the AM aspect again too.

No matter what, the whole thing is exciting!

Jeff

Hallo Louis,

Based on what was stated,. you have done nothing wrong.

Give the search engines time to index and rank your posts. We have heard some people say they have had to wait 3 weeks and then they had over 10 indexed and ranked on the same day.

After indexing, the posts ranking will determine where they show in the search results. Ranking on the first page of the search results will obviously bring the most traffic. So this is why choosing less competitive keywords is so important. Make sure you have a lot of informative posts that are not product specific. Look for questions to answer (answersocrates.com) if you haven't already.

Patience and passion for your niche are great assets.

Is there any special secrete behind getting indexed or do I just have to be patient and continue creating my contend? How did you do it?

Some say magic but I don't believe.

It takes a good two weeks for your site to get indexed you'd receive an email notification when this happens.

For your posts, they work on Google time, however you may also request indexing via Inspection tool Google Search Console

.

First your posts get indexed and often days later down the line start getting noticed provided targeted keywords are searchable, new websites can rank efficiently.

But typically "authority" for a website starts to get established through time, usually the 3-6 month mark.

They fluctuate up and down the scale till Google decides where to place them.

Not all posts will get ranked, thus the recommendation to keep updating blog 2 - 3 posts a week and that's for the foreseeable future.

And just for some clarifications.

I hope this helps.

There is no "secret". for website domain indexing.
It will happen. WA will send an email when your site is indexed. Could be a few days or a few weeks.

Just be patient and keep moving forward with the training. If you have a privacy policy and About me also published that is just fine.

Hey Louis,

To be honest, "getting indexed" isn't actually that big of a deal, and as long as you're using WordPress and have submitted a sitemap (which you'll learn about in the training), you're going to get indexed automatically anyway (in fact, I'll go as far to say that you only need to be publishing regularly on WordPress and you'll eventually get indexed anyway, i.e. there probably isn't a need for all the "complicated stuff").

In truth, Google had massive indexing issues from around October 2020 until about a month ago.

Personally, I feel that this is due to the huge influx of AI Content being produced (Artificial Intelligence).

So, Google were literally saying, "Whoa, hold on, what's going on here? Websites producing 1,000 articles a day, content that seems to lack the human element, let me investigate further"

The real issue is GETTING RANKED.

You can write 10,000 articles, they can all get indexed, but this doesn't mean that any of those 10,000 articles will ever get ranked.

If you don't get ranked, you won't get any traffic, no traffic = no income.

So, it all comes down to FINDING THE RIGHT KEYWORDS

Thanks! you are helping me a lot

Hey man, the others beat me to it. But just focus on creating content and ignore the analytics side of things and you'll be getting results in no time. The biggest mistake I made was checking stats everyday and not seeing anything happen, which only lead to disappointment and not feeling like writing content as much.

I am going to try to avoid this haha

That's useful thanks Hazy. How is your site doing now?

Hi, Louis

My guitar website got indexed by Google in less than a week, but it is highly variable.

You don't need a fancy website, especially at first. Concentrate on writing awesome and unique content within your niche, and Google will index your site before you know it.

Frank

Ok thanks I am going to concentrate on my content. It is the fun part so perfect!!!
