GDPR Compliance Done
GDPR Compliance - What a Yawn.
That was singularly the most boring process I've ever gone through as a blogger.
But oh my goodness.. feels so good to tick every item off my list for all 4 websites.
My two email newsletters are scheduled to go out at 8am this morning.

There has been a lot of confusion about the GPDR and having it all completed is a great feeling.
Hi Dena, lovely to meet you. You are spot on. I did my best to sort through the confusion on zero in on the actual tasks needed to complete.
Contrats, Lauren.
To be honest, I saw the yawning cat and clicked into the post right away. :)

Hi Lauren. I am glad for your thoroughness regarding this GDPR compliance stuff. Wew!! what a headache this must be causing throughout WA! It was actually simplified quite well in Kyle's post on the subject. I do have some questions though. Since I am only barely into level 2 and have created my first keyword post, bought my own domain, updated my word press and plugins and set up my email account what do I need to do besides updating my privacy policy page and is the newest version of word press GDPR compliant? Is Google Analytics something that I will learn in a higher level?
Hi James, yes, you'll get to Google Analytics in time. And am sure as a new Google Analytics user you'll be accepting all the new Terms upfront, so you don't have to worry about it until then. (Actually you never have to worry about it, Google did the worrying for you and put terms in place to be compliant. You just have to accept their terms as you would with any other 3rd party supplier to your site).
What a yawn that was! Haha..
What a funny line.
Glad you got it done.
Catching up.
Hey L Kinghorn, Cheers!
I am just getting started. There are so many posts I don't know where to start or which post to follow.
Hi Shwana,I've tried to simplify for the process for you in my Checklist post. If you follow the steps I've outlined you should be good to go. GDPR Compliance Headache Removed
Thought I was done but I forgot about Google Analytics. It will have to wait till Monday when I get back to WiFi land.

Heya Elaine, oh I can relate to having no WiFi. What a pain.
Good luck with the last leg of your GDPR compliance journey.

I got my two done too! What a process! LOL
How do we go about getting a newsletter going for my website?
Yay! Well done. I use Mailchimp for my newsletter as their free version remains free until you have 2000 Subscribers.
There are a number of options though. Dominic Wells uses Madmimi. Here's his training. Setting Up A Free Mailing-List With MadMimi LynneHuysamen uses SendPulse. Here's her Training: How To Set Up A New Mailing List Using Sendpulse AnthonyMLM has loads of Tutorials on Email Newsletters: How To Create An Email Newsletter The Your Readers Will Love.
Thank you! I'll look into all those and make a decision. I have been having this idea floating around in mind for a little while now about providing an E-Newsletter. I think it would be a good thing.
Fab Genelda. There are so many more. Ask Ariel @ArielHarris7. She found another great option the other day, I haven't had the chance to look into it though.
