Excitement Overload!
Hi, my fellow Wealthy Affiliate members. It's Jill Alexa - Lauren's Mom.
I am so excited to be back again with you all.
You have no idea how much I have missed the interaction with so many of you. It was always so stimulating to hear what others in various parts of the world were thinking about, and doing.
Recently I was at a tea with a number of ladies and I realized once again just how blessed I am to have joined Wealthy Affiliate when I did and, by following the training, and, with the help of Lauren, was able to master my laptop. (Well,to a certain extent).
The conversation turned to age, as it often does, and comments were made that so many of us had missed the computer age. Some of the ladies had never even tried to turn on a computer let alone master it.
What a shame. They don't realize how empowering it is to learn to master something that scares the living daylights out of so many older folk.
I know, as I was just as scared when Lauren got me started on this journey of discovery.
Thank you, Lauren from the bottom of my heart. Also for being so patient with me.
WONDERFUL GIFT
One of the reasons I haven't been writing is that my laptop died. Poor thing.
A few days ago, my very dear friend David, gifted me with a new Acer laptop. I can't begin to tell you how excited I am to have it.
Naturally, David and Lauren were on hand to help me set it all up and to change all the miriad of passwords required to have it up and running for me.
It would have taken me a lot longer without their aid, and so I spent the time supplying them with tea and coffee.
David was able to retrieve all the data from the old laptop which is absolutely not within the realm of my capability.
The timing of this gift was amazing as I had been earning by writing guest posts and for a while that business had dried up, when out of the blue, the day before the computer gift arrived, into my inbox popped a guest post request. Yay!
Although there are a number of ways to earn money online, writing posts was what I chose to do, and I really missed it.
OUT OF MISCHIEF
During my absence from Wealthy Affiliate and not wanting time to hang heavily on my hands I had to think of other ways to keep out of mischief.
Naturally, I did a little local travelling, not too far afield due to the stipulations laid down for us by the laws of the land. I visited my siser-in-law a couple of times out at Riebeek Kasteel which is such a beautiful little country town.
It is always such a treat to visit Hazel as we enjoy playing canasta and doing jigsaw puzzles together.
Although I missed writing very much I found ways to keep myself busy.
Teaching three little girls, aged 9,10 and 11 to master the sewing machine was really fun. They ended up, after rather a lot of unpicking, each making a patchwork cushion with pieces of fabric from my stash.
They were so excited and proud and now have cushions which match the colour-scheme of their bedroom.
Currently, I am painting a portrait of my sister-in-law's grandson. I had better get a crack on, as now that I have a computer I shall be sorely tempted to write instead.
LIFE IS SO VERY EXCITING
It's time to take every opportunity that comes our way to learn something new and there is always something new to be learned at Wealthy Affiliate.
There are always exciting times to be had at Wealthy Affiliate.
Best Wishes to Everyone
Jill Alexa
