Amazon Affiliate Links within Content - Step by Step for Newcomers
Hi Everyone, and particularly newcomers to Wealthy Affiliate
Assuming you've already joined the Amazon Affiliate program, and set up your Amazon aStore...
When I started out with my free Siterubix site, I had quite a battle embedding my Amazon Store. Some themes don't support embedding anything, and you can't add plugins on your free site.
I tried embedding every which way and then opted for a simple solution. It doesn't look all that professional, but hey, at least it works:
Simply add a link to your store within your content:
- Go to: https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/
- Login with your email address and Password
- Click on aStore - 3rd blue & white button on the top of the screen
- Click aStore URL
- I would look something like this: http://astore.amazon.com/toddlteach-20
- Copy and paste the URL
- Go to your Siterubix website & add a new page
- Call it Store or Amazon Store, or whatever you like.
- (I called my page Highly Recommended)
- Save the link to your store on the page. I saved mine like this:
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Click here to shop on Amazon for the books and items I recommend.

More important to me though, was adding Amazon Affiliate links within my content:
I originally learned this simple method from a Video Training by MoritzS.

Adding Amazon Links within Content:
Step 1: You must be on Amazon Central, go to:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/gp/associates/network/main.html
Step 2: Search for item
Step 3: Click on Get Link
Step 4: Choose Text Only
Step 5: Highlight HTML code & paste
Step 6: Shorten link to only the code within “ & “
Here is an example below of what your links will look like:
I chose the book "Oh the places you'll go!" by Dr. Seuss
Text Only
Oh, The Places You'll Go!http://ir-na.amazon-adsystem.com/e/ir?t=toddlteach...." width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" rel="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" />
Shortened link:
This is what it looks like within content on my website:

7. Motherhood has a Way of Bringing Out Your Creative Side
At home we paint and draw and make things together. We make cool shapes out of play dough. We read fantastic books like Oh the Places You’ll Go! and Did I ever tell You how Lucky You Are? by the incredible Dr. Seuss.
Hope this has been helpful to you.
To your Success,
Lauren

Lauren, an outstanding post. As an affiliate you have to at least give it a try, and will need to support one another site's as an affiliate. God bless you!
Good educational post. But hey can't we link any product page from the normal Amazon website with the use of the "Site Stripe" to get Amazon-shortened urls?
Oops! I'd better learn how to do that fast. Please add a tutorial on that! Thanks so much for letting me know.
