Hey Dude, Give Yourself a Break
Give it a Break
So, you started Wealthy Affiliate a couple months ago with a level of enthusiasm matched only by Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman intercepting a pass thrown by Green Bay Packer's Aaron Rodgers. You made the commitment to buy into the Premium version of WA; you committed to buy into the Professional version of JAAXY; and you started Following everyone and anyone who asked you to Follow them. And talk about dedication, you were completing a lesson a day of Kyle and Carson's Level 1 WA Training. Then the WA emails started piling in.
Now you are a pretty nice guy or gal. At least you think so (ha..ha). So you made sure that every email received a response. That is until you found 100+ emails from WA in your Inbox every morning and building throughout the day. Wow, how were you going to complete your normal daily chores around the house, put in an 8 hour workday, complete the daily WA lessons, build a website, and respond to all of the crazy emails? Hey Dude, give yourself a break!
Do You Need Everyone in Your WA Network
You want a large network so there will be a good chance to get help when you need it. Also, you want to be able to help others when then ask for it. Like the old saying goes "What goes around, comes around". Thing is, do you need to click on the Follow Me button on 50 to 80 good folks everyday?
I don't think so. After I had a pretty good sized network, I decided to focus on the folks with experience here at WA. Now, I scan through the various responses to Questions, Blogs and Training type emails, clicking on only the ones that were ranked from 1 through 200 and the Ambassadors. I know, I know. This is discrimination. But hey, what's a guy to do when he is overwhelmed with emails to respond too. By the way, I have roughly 95% of all members with a ranking of 200 or better and the Ambassadors in my network. I figure that when I start hitting the system with questions, I have the top folks from WA to help me. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of well qualified folks out there with ranking between 200 and 600. So hopefully they won't get twisted off at me for writing this blog and will also try to help "Poor, Poor Little Ole Me".
Just so you know, this one little move has cut my emails to around 25 to 40 every morning. I can handle that. If you are getting swamped by emails that you feel should be responded too, you might want to give it a try.
Now Richard Sherman won't have anything on you or me when it comes to enthusiasm.

Well shucks, I'm a 49ers fan and since Eddie DeBartello was forced to give them up they haven't been worth squat, so where does that leave me?
Ha..ha.. actually I am Ninner fan too and my second team is the Packer's. Looks like I am in Deep Dodo for the Super Bowl this year. Thanks for the comments.
It CAN get overwhelming. I get TONS of emails everyday. I allocate a certain amount of time to go through the ones that look important. It has nothing to do with a person's ambassador rank though. You'll get a feel for the "meaty" blogs. You only have so many hrs in a day and each of us handle them differently.
Thanks Sui. Thing is, asking a newbie like me is like "the blind leading the blind". I feel that I have a better chance of getting good advice from an experienced person like yourself. Thanks for the comments.
Hi Larry, You're mostly right.
A snazzy blue badge by someones name here doesn't mean they are making an online income.
Which is kinda why we are here, right?
No worries though, most folks make the same assumption as you.
I started before the new program began and many of those that started when I did are making some income now.
I also encourage new follows to stop following everyone, and concentrate on their training.
ANY info a person needs to succeed online is in that training, and any help one needs can be found from the help bar above.
The help bar is also one of the best ways to get some understanding of Keywords.

Yep, I know the "snazzy blue badge" doesn't mean that person is an expert. But, for sure, getting advice from another newbie like me is like the "blind leading the blind". Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them.
No worries Larry, I could tell by your fine blog, that You weren't 'WOWed by bling'.lol. I've been personally misdirected a couple times myself, now I'm Very cautious about 'advice', some of which caused me some issues. I like to be certain when I give advice! G'day to ya Larry.(-: J
Thanks, some of the folks here don't agree with me. Good to hear from someone who does agree.
Always remember we came here to build a business thanks to the courses and help of the community. Although it's good to come for a coffee break at WA, you can't spend the whole day there or you won't get anything done. Let's be efficient not mundane ahahha
You don't have to respond to every email you get and personally I like helping people when I can, except when they should know better .i.e. it's already in the training. Glyn
I like helping too. Thing is, I'm a newbie. So I very rarely can help with technical issues. That's where experienced folks like you are a major asset. Thanks for the comment
My goodness, you were really swamped weren't you? You did a smart thing, now you can get your real work done. Nice blog, keep up the good work.
So then I must be in the correct in your thinking with about 25 every morning and about another 25 during the day. So do you suggest i stay stagnant.
I started out as a loner and got nowhere.
I am now taking care of 8 websites which is a little much but I could have only done it with the help of WA members so I think the more the merrier.Thank you WA people!!
My thoughts for now.
Ken
I have seen a lot of your comments to questions and different blogs. Thay are great and us newbies really appreciate your extra effort. Thing is, you are already experienced and don't have to learn the basics. When I get to your level, I'm sure I will more inclined to buy into your "More the Merrier" philosophy. Thanks for the comments.
When I started I had only kyle and carson that was enough for me because I am naturally an introvert. Did you know the harder you work the easier it is to make stuff work for you. When you are able to help someone out makes you a way better person. When you are strictly a student. you just get answers that can also confuse you even more and helps you and in the end you don't even grasp the meaning of the subject properly. This community is unique here we all give instead of take and I am glad I started learning that and still being my introverted self. I am more proud now to be able to give while still learning the ropes which will never end until I pass away.. To me this is thee true meaning of learning here.
Just my take on the idea of learning by helping. You cant ever give enough of yourself. Ever. Ask Kyle and Carson I am sure they both feel that exact way and they have 25000 people to answer to.
Ken
Hi Ken, Believe me, I agree with everything you said. The problem is, when you try to respond to a hundred plus emails day you never have time to learn what Kyle and Carson are teaching. Nobody wants to be a jerk because these are great folks here at WA but, as I have mentioned to others, you have to set your priorities if you want to learn how this internet website building is going to work. Thanks very much for you response and to your dedication to helping the rest of us. It really is appreciated.

Funny stuff....and level headed. .... and go Sea Hawks!
Thanks Pastor Tae. Actually, I am Ninner fan and my second team is the Packer's. Ha..ha. Guess that kind of leaves me out in the cold for the Super Bowl this year. Burrr. Thanks for the comments. Coming from you, it means a lot.
I actually like both the Niners and the Packers too. I'm a fan of both pro and college football. I like the story lines of both the niners with Kapernick and even Rodgers - selected late in the first round and waited. And the story line for the Sea Hawks is great too with Wilson. Not a fan of the Patriots. So, I'll be pulling for the Sea Hawks. Keep up the great work.
I will be pulling for the Seahawks too. But I have to be quite about it. My son-in-law has been a Hawks fan for years and we have always "trash talked" each other about the Hawks vs the Niners. No way I can let him know I want the Seahawks to win.. ha..ha. Thanks for getting back to me.
That's right.... no way dude!
Ha..ha
I think we are violating your blog principles by replying to unnecessary and frivolous emails
Ya, but there are some folks I like to kick back with and you are one of them.
ok. but I think people are laughing at us as we violate this blog! I'll look forward to trash talking after the Super Bowl. Go Hawks and Boooo
Defla-triots.
