We have been preluding something big for the last month or so and today we are happy to announce the official roll out of our latest and greatest SiteRubix offering…

SiteComments!

To this day, there has been no effective platform on the Internet for getting high quality, engaging dialogue on your website. There is nothing elegant about trying to "get comments", and more often than not, people totally miss out on comments because they feel as though it is too tough to get quality dialogue and engagement on their site.

Comments add value to your website, comments create trust, comments breed MORE comments, comments lead to more and longer lasting rankings in search engines, and comments lead to success.

Today we are completely changing the way in which you get comments...and by being a Premium member here at WA, you are going to be able to propel your website engagement (and business) like never before.

Finally, a Platform for Comment Acquisition!

There has never been a more integrated and powerful platform for getting quality, targeted, and educated comments on your website.

As you may be starting to understand as you build out your websites, the comments you get on your site play a big role in your website’s overall success. This means better SEO, better rankings, more traffic, more trust and better conversions.

SiteComments offers you a complete platform to manage your website engagement, to track the progress of your comments, and to build a comment profile that will push your site ahead of the competition. It has single handedly changed the way in which we generate and manage comments on our website.

The first system in the world to accomplish this and it is now available for all Premium members to use!

You Offer Comments, You Get Comments...

Within the system you are going to “earn” comment credits in the exact same way as the comment platform worked over at the give and take thread.

You give 2 comments, you get 1 comment in return. There are no limits on this, so regardless of how many comments you want to get, you can earn these.

If you want 50 comments on your website, you can comment on 100 other peoples' websites and earn these. It is fun, easy to use and absolutely the most powerful system ever created for generating REAL quality on your website. Real engagement and relevant, intelligent dialogue.

As you earn SiteComments credits, you can use them as you wish.

This is going to lead to better rankings and if you spend a few minutes each day using this system you are going to see the benefits of your hard work and in turn be helping 100’s and possibly 1,000’s of fellow WA’ers in return on their sites.

We have put a lot of concerted thought into the design of the SiteComments platform, it is going to be your dream system for getting engagement.

We Filter By Interests, Quality Ensues

One of the main problems with asking others for comments on your site is the fact that they may have no knowledge or interest in the subject matter of your website.

For example, if you wanted a comment on your post about “astrophysics” and I have absolutely no knowledge on this subject matter, I shouldn’t be required to offer you a comment on this.

Because of this we have initiated an “Interests” aspect of the system.

You will add your “interests” to the system and your comment requests will be matched up with others in the system with knowledge or interest in that same subject.

This is going to lead to much higher quality, more engaging comments on your website...which in turn will add value to your website.

All Content is UNIQUE, Guaranteed!

Comments on your site are an important aspect of SEO. The problem that currently exists is that many people are getting comments that are actually “duplicate” content, they are not unique and this can adversely impact rankings.

As it stands now, every single comment that you get submitted to your website could be copied from somewhere else on the Internet, your competition could in essence take down your rankings by tricking you to publish their duplicate comments (that seem legit).

You won’t run into this with SiteComments as we validate that each and every comment within the system is 100% unique. The system will not allow comments that are duplicate.

Every single comment you get within the SiteComments system is going to be 100% unique! Unique content is a beautiful thing for website rankings.

All Comments Will Be Personal

We have taken things another step further. There is nothing worse than having a website full of comments from “faceless” authors. It is going to be a requirement for every comment that you get on your website to have an associated image attached, this is known as a gravatar.

Here is exactly what I mean by this:

No more empty dialogue taking place on your site. With the reqiured gravatar aspect of the system, each and every comment that goes to your site is going to appear like a real, human conversation. Pictures are meaningful and are going to add a lot of credibility to your website engagement.

And when you comment, you can have many different gravatar profiles set-up and it is simple to create many different ones. The requirement is that each profile has a unique email address.

This is the ultimate multi-profile management platform.

Ultimate Comment Control and Distribution

There is one thing that we have really focused on with this platform: control.

Within the SiteComments platform you have the ability to control many different aspects of your comment requests. This includes:

  • The website in which the comments go
  • The page/posts in which the comments go
  • How many comments you want
  • Interests the person that offers you a comment
  • Time distribution of comments

This control allows you to distribute comment jobs in a way that benefits your websites most. Ideally you want to be getting comments on posts that have very few comments, posts that have not been active in some time, and posts that are brand new.

This is very easy to do with the control and flexibility that that the SiteComments platform offers. You are in the driver’s seat. You get comments when you want, how you want, and where you want.

It Goes Directly to YOUR SITE! Easy Peasy!

No more copying and pasting or even logging into your website to manage your comments. With the SiteComment system, when you Approve or Approve & Reply to your comments.

Upon doing this, the comment will instantly go to your website and be live. You can then check the comment directly if you want to see it.

Another powerful feature is that you can also Reply to any comments you get within the SiteComments system right then and there. Ideally you want to reply to every comment that you get and this platform facilitates that AND also offers you the ability to add links within your replies.

No more logging into Wordpress to manage your comments from fellow WA members, this can now be done right from the SiteComments platform.

When You Get Comments, You Will Know!

How do you know when you get a new comment on your site? It’s easy. You will not only get an email from the system letting you know that you have received a comment, but you will also see a notification counter show up within the SiteRubix menu.

This is going to allow for efficient use of the SiteComment platform and minimize the turnaround time between getting a comment and actually replying and publishing it on your website.

A Long Term, Sustainable Solution

One thing will always remain a constant with every new update, innovation, or platform that we incorporate here at Wealthy Affiliate, YOUR SUCCESS.

The SiteComments platform has never been done before in the website industry and to date, is the most effective and efficient way to incubate quality comments on your website.

Better Engagement = Better Rankings

We truly hope you enjoy this entirely new aspect of WA. The importance of comments is long lasting. It is definitely not going anywhere, and we are on the bleeding edge of the technology to simplify and improve the process in which we attain comments on our site.

To access the SiteComments platform, you will find it within the SiteRubix menu under "SiteComments". Here is the direct link to it.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/comments

I have also created a Walkthrough for this platform that will walk you through the entire process of how to use it, the benefits, and how to maximize your experience within SiteComments.

The more I use this system the more I like it. I got into a bit of a panic when I received more responses then I'd asked for because I imagined "comment debt" whereafter I busied myself earning some more credits! Haha, oh well. Maybe if two people respond at once it results in some freebies. Anyway, I have a bunch of credits at the ready for next time.

Something else I like about the system is that it's introducing me to a lot of other content creators, resulting in bookmarks and networking happening... very cool.

I used the comment system for the first time today and it's awesome. I remember a few months back we had to ask each other for comments and sometimes that system didn't work. The great thing about this new comment feature is that it's a formal system where everyone who comments has a Gravitar profile. So whoever goes to my website and checks the comments, they will see a live picture of the person that made the comment. This will truly bring more authority to our websites and visitor engagement. Thanks!

This is actually such an awesome idea! I can't wait to start using this feature. Does anyone know the best timing for generating comments for your website is? I mean if your site is pretty new and isn't yet ranking at all (not even sure it is indexed properly yet) and if there is only 6 odd pages of content/ posts. Would it be better to continue building the site and after you have a good amount of content and your site has been fully indexed etc and is more established, get comments then? Or is this something you should jump on right away? I mean the question that comes to my mind is would it seem strange to Google that your getting all of these comments from nowhere when your not even on page 5000 of Google yet? Just keen to use this feature, but at the same time I don't want to jump ahead of myself and cause my website any problems. So I guess specifically I am asking will getting comments on my blog too early damage my credibility in the eyes of Google, should I wait until my site has much more content and is getting ranked? Thanks for anyone helping me understand this :)

The more interaction on your website no matter how old is a positive signal to google crawlers and will help your ranking in the future. Keep on adding content and you will get there.

Yes. It was happening to me and I was wondering how. I came up with a theory.
Someone goes to read your content. They have not written a comment, so it's still available for others to click on. If you ask for comments during a time where there are a lot of people looking to comment, they all click before any of the others finish.
Does this make sense? It helps me sleep at night, lol.

Yes. That happened to me. Which is why I said the SiteComments scheme is awesome. You get more than what you give. Sometimes, even days after I have done my commenting give-and-get routine, I still get comments. Now that is awesome!

To start comparing, I go out there, show what I have to fellow website owners and authors, and what is lacking from their sites? Comments! They have contents,

That's a big impact to getting your website ranked, even when your content ain't moving much anymore (which I don't encourage, but it would happen eventually when you get tied up with something else).

Comments will liven up your website's activity. So make it your goal to be giving and getting comments. I have also learned a lot from this experience, Reading on articles not on my niche, interacting with different people and getting to know them - the benefits extends far beyond just the comments themselves.

Well, that should be encouragement enough for all who aren't into SiteComments yet.

Learn and enjoy!

Um, I had a steeeep learning curve with sitecomments. Now I will never say something unless I am really moved and impressed by the material itself for reasons which mean something to ME. No standard formula allowed. No more constructive criticism about widgets and plugins.and pictures and headings. I got scalped for that by many people. Meanwhile everyone is saying beautiful things about my blogs and pages.
Also most of the time I can write a comment and press enter and mostly nothing happens and that is on sites which have ASKED for feedback. What might be going on?
Reply
timsproducts Premium
Hello

Site Comments are to write engaging comments about the content of the site, not the site structure widgets etc. It is intended to help the site own get more content on their site by engaging in a to and fro conversation add add more value to the piece they have written.

Site Feedback requests want constructive criticism on the site as you said widgets colours images plugins H1 H2 H3 , etc etc

If you feel you have nothing to say on site comments try broadening your search to allow you to find sites that interest you

Sometimes it takes some time and effort to find new interesting sites to comment on, and I'm refining my search for that too. But what about my last sentence. I can't believe I am being blocked, but mostly I can't add comments on people's sites with a few exceptions...Its hard to earn new comments on mine for that reason...

I asked the question because I have seen other posts of members saying there are a lot of sites that want comments but they have no interests in them. In Kyle's example he says if you want 50 comments on your site you need to make 100 comments on other sites. I'm just saying there may not be 50 people wanting to comment on your site whether it has good content or not.

I would like to comment here on some websites that I have seen while using SiteComments. If your website is promoting Wealthy Affiliate, please, Please make sure and let people know about the pricing here. I have seen a few websites that mention the free starter membership all the way through their posts, but nothing about the premium pricing (just don't forget to tell them about the discounted month, when upgrading before their 7 days is up). While in chat, I have seen people come in and ask what the catch is. When told about premium, they leave without saying a word. WA is a great program and we all need to let everybody out there know what to expect before coming in here. If we don't, they may think it's a scam.
Just thought I'd throw that out there.
Good luck to you all!

It is what I call "pay it forward" reward. It should be in everyone's walk to help other members, that is what WA is all about, helping each other. You get one credit for every comment you leave. However, I noticed you can only use sites created through SiteRubix here on WA. Which is unlike sitefeedback where I can put in any URL from a site not hosted on WA.

This is only for websites that are hosted at WA, another benefit to hosting your websites here (other than the fact that you are getting state of the art hosting, website builder, and features never seen before).

Hi Jay,
Not sure if they have fixed the glitch in the last few days you were experiencing regarding the Gravatar not showing up but it seems to be working for me. One thing I noticed which might help. When approving and replying to comments you get a choice of which site user you want the reply to come from, make sure the user you select has same email address as the one you registered in Gravatar, I have two users on my site, Admin and Neil, one has an email using my site's domain name and the other a Gmail address. However both are registered with Gravatar so I can use either but would usually use Neil for comments as it's more personal for comments (as per Kyle's training)
Thanks
Neil

Yeah, this has been fixed. Was a really obscure bug that was tracked down and released on Tuesday of this week. If anyone has any further bug issues let me know.

Maybe a silly question but what email address are you using when posting a comment on CommentSite?
Reply
DroGodina Premium
You have to make a Gravatar account first. Go back and see your log-in credentials for your website and make a Gravatar account to use SiteComments.

I already have a gravatar account so will look into Kyle's tutorial how set everything up.Thanks! :)

How do you skip a site? I have already commented on a site that showed up. I don't know why it's showing back up, because as far as I know, it doesn't really have anything to do with my interests. It seems like it's more like gaming or hobbies. I don't have either of those clicked. Not sure what I've clicked to make it come up. I guess I can add some kind of nice (relevant) comment.
Reply
MelindaH Premium
Ok, nevermind. I kept clicking and it finally went away. If it comes back, then I'll just comment at that time.

Simply click the offer comments button again and a new site requesting a comment will load.

At least yours is appropriate. I kept getting a site for sexual performance pills. Kinda ticked me off cuz it was so inappropriate and nothing to do with what I had selected for my interests. I don't know how to report sites as being inappropriate, so I just sent a private message to Kyle about it.

Thanks Jeremy! I clicked on it about 7-8 times, but it wouldn't go away. I finally clicked on "My Settings", then went back down and clicked on "Offer Comments" again and it finally went away. :)
Reply
MelindaH Premium
Oh no Maschan! I wouldn't want to leave a comment on that either. Not sure if it would come back or not, but you can try what I did, if you can't make it go away by simply clicking the offer comments button again. I clicked on my settings, then clicked on offer comments again and it went to the next one.

I'm loving this. I've already made several comments and requested some for my own site. It's a bit addictive.

Okay, I'm gonna own up here, I didn't approve someones feedback I felt it wasn't relevant, long enough and rushed ( to get credits).

I filled out a text box after I rejected it asking me what I thought was wrong with it. Will the person who gave me the sub-standard feedback get a copy of my reasons or not. Also, will he keep those credits if it was rejected?

I know I'm heartless but I don't want my site ruined by non-relevant comments.
Reply
DIVICAN Premium
Yes the comments are automatically checked and immediately as it is confirmed that it is unique then the member earns the credits.
Reply
dillbizz Premium
But what if the comment is unique but the website owner who requested the comment thinks it is not up to standard for their website?

You see, does that mean that someone could just write a load of tosh and earn a credit for it because it is "unique"?
Reply
DIVICAN Premium
Abosolutely not but I think the reason to why the member earns the credit Kyle and Carson are taking care of their members here and giving them a good way to go forward by giving them such incentives.
Reply
TopAchiever Premium
I would have thought that there would be a default mechanism imbedded in the delete button that would actually reverse the credit? I would PM Kyle on this one to get to the bottom of it.

Yes, might do that. Been a while since I messaged him anyway.

What is the distinction between the Site Comments function and the Site Feedback function on SiteRubix portal?
Reply
Anewcreature Premium
Your comments actually show up on the website where with siterubix we are really keeping our scrutiny withing Wealthy Affiliate. Hope this help.

So ... Site Comments focus on improving Site Engagement whereas Site Feedback does not impact Site Engagement?
Reply
Anewcreature Premium
That is correct from my understanding and I have been using both. Hopeful I have been helpful!.

What a top facility! Another unique feature from Kyle and his people. Thank you.
I have just made my first comment and went to make another only to be presented with a site that was totally irrelevant to the interest selections I had ticked.
However once the page to review was presented I could not see an option to get another more relevant page or cancel what was there.
Do we need an option to request another link if what we get is not suitable?

I've also had this problem so I simply back page or log out and then log in again and a new page will appear for review. Works for me.

So a question. Should I start this now, or wait? I'm on Affiliate Bootcamp Course 2 Lesson 2. I have quite a bit of content, but I feel as though my site isn't complete yet.

Oh man, reading this article got me really jazzed up as I only have 1 comment on my niche website and that has been up and running now for over a month.

I am so going to get into this, thanks a bunch Kyle and everyone else involved in its development.

Good times ahead!

OK, so I was a little reserved about this when I first saw it, but it quickly won me over. I think the best part is that you can aim incoming comments to older pages, whereby they continue to be active posts.

Very nice!

Kyle Premium
Yeah, you choose. This is exactly one of the ways I am going to be using this platform, not only to boost new content and get engagement going on it but to revive conversations on older content and to go back and spruce up comment threads on older posts.

When I'm contributing, I sometimes ask the site owner a question in my comment. I feel this is good practice as it creates a dialogue, but when the recipient answers my question I do not get the opportunity to say "thanks" and therefore the comment doesn't look right. What do you think about being able to tick a box in Site Comments to say "please update me by email" so that we can follow the thread and close off our question?
Reply
Kyle Premium
A response is actually more than adequate as a thanks is not need and the reason we didn't create a platform with back and forth is because with every additional comment the conversation and the dialogue will only get diluted (and the platform itself would become highly inefficient to use carrying on huge conversations).

I'm trying to do some comments, but the system seems to be stuck on one site & it won't change to an alternative.
Reply
Missa3 Premium
It seems you can only skip so many and then it gets stuck. The only way around it is to go in an change your preferences (specifically the one where the "stuck" website would fall under. Then go back to earn feedback. You can always go and changes your preferences back again later.

Hope that helped

I've changed my prefs a few times, I tested it by just choosing music. It is still stuck on a site about horses lol.

Hello, just try to refresh it few times.
If it is not working then give it some time and come back later to comment option.
For me these method works fine.

I would expand you interests, if there is nothing in the system within your selected interests it will find the closest match so that you have at least something to comment on.

If you are are to targeted with your interests (one or two), then initially you might have limited choices when the system is getting off the ground.
Reply
jaytech Premium
I only set it at one option to try to unstick the system, it was stuck on a horse site. I have about 8 interests selected, I kept getting the same site, no matter what interest I selected.

Sometimes if an article has been "skipped" too much, it will be locked as the next in the queue to prevent people from requesting comments and not getting any help (people skipping it over and over again). That is likely what happened here and sometimes in this case, all it will take is a little research to articulate a very good response.

As the system scales this will happened far less often as more people with more interest are using the system.

Site Comments is a knockout feature. I have one question, though. When working with the comments, I can only find out the user's Gravater. How do I find the user's WA profile? Clicking on the name or the photo makes no difference - they both take me to Gravatar.
