How to Write Content Faster for Your Websites

Last Update: March 12, 2018

People fear writing and I am not sure why. Not a day passes by me where someone tells me that "I am not a writer though", and send me a 500 word article telling me why they cannot write!

That is HALF a blog post!! That is the reality though, people don't view their online communication and the time they spend writing to others, as writing. However, this is what writing is and this is the basis of content production.

Your goal is to communicate with your respective audience and speak to them as you would a friend. Then through time, and as you get more familiar with writing content for your websites, you will become more efficient at it.

How efficient? I will explain a recent "writing" day, I am not sure if it is a record, but probably a record in terms of blogging content I create for my actual niche websites.

My 11,846 Word Writing Day

March 7th, 2018 was a quite a good writing day for me. I was able to write 11,846 words of content! This is on top of all of my other day to day activities.

To many, this may seem absolutely crazy and unachievable. But I achieved it, so you know that it is possible and it can be your reality.

My goal is to top this with a 15K word writing day in the next month. When you move the upper needle of production insanity, your reality becomes consistent productivity.

Remember that story about Roger Bannister, the first person that ran the 4-minute mile. He did this in 1954. Well, until that point it didn't appear achievable to anyone and now that 4 minute mile is the 'standard' for runners.

Same goes for your own goals and self expectations. If you only think you can write 100 words in a day, that will probably be your upper limit. Continue to move your needle, and watch your content production explode.

So how do you write faster for your websites? You communicate. Your belief in your ability to communicate. And you set some unrealistic goals for yourself to continue to push your writing capabilities to record levels.

so all the people out there who think they need to go to other people's blogs and copy, by whatever name they like to call it, are basically saying they can't communicate, they think they need to take someone else's communication...shows they really could up their game with a little tweak in mindset...

Writing is an acquired talent! You sat down at the place you wanted to write and you wrote!
Period!
And the next time you wrote a little more!
Period!
And the next time you wrote a little more!
And you surprised yourself! You liked what you had written!
And so on!
You are a writer!

Writing is something that we can all do (as it is just communication), but I agree we can acquire a better talent at writing by doing.

I know first hand that I have improved drastically over the years with my writing and this is because this is something that I am doing on a day in and day out basis.

Love this post you do really believe in the power of achieving a better version of our self, our only limits are our pain barriers and the mind but those can be push day by day.

Just like the navy seals they train really insane ways to always push them self to another level almost like super human like. And whats the difference between them and us well of course its the mindset that we put in our believes of what can we and cant we do.

Essentially, writing is all about communicating with people of all levels. There are many different ways to communicate with another human being, personally I like to speak face to face, but speaking on the phone, emailing, writing content are basically the same idea.We want to get stuff out of our heads and into someone else's head.Just do it naturally, once your brain starts on a subject it will just keep going and going!

Hi Kyle, Great article, I'm up to writing content now in the course so implementing this!
thank you for the inspiration....I also believe some self-imposed deadlines can help. I'm a big fan of "The Pomodoro Technique" for personal productivity. Also on productivity and personal development, I heard this amazing book summary while driving using this great Blinkist App, then implemented the next day.

Thanks, I think there is a lot of science behind the 25 minutes of more intense/focused effort. My personal opinion and experience is also posture, our backs/neck/shoulders all get stiff if we work on computers as a full-time job and do blogging/WA part-time - either way, any computer time, it helps to get moving every 25-30 minutes e.g. stretches and strengthening exercises for those areas under the forward pulling strain

My Mother, that is an excellent marked goal, we will leave here writing so much that we will flood the planet with content! great, I usually like no, I love writing, the way you say with the scheme is really easy to achieve this many words.
A defined outline, the keywords, the titles, really is like a recipe with winning ingredients.

Great Kyle, so I can continue my special funny hilarious story of currently 6000 words and extend it as a special double edition of one of my hero stories, because I thought it could be to long and to split the story in 2?

Would you say I am doing good on it as publish it as a whole?

Let me know if you like to have a read on it as you know my approach very much differs in writing entertaining stories by now...

That's a lot of words in one day. I currently write freelance for a living and I've never come close to that, lol. But I think I know why. Many of the articles I write for clients are on topics I'm not particularly interested in. So when you add to that the struggle of trying to get paid enough for those efforts, it's more than a little uninspiring.

That's one of the main reasons I joined WA. It was time to get on the other side of things and run my own sites, instead of being the guy who writes for everyone else's sites for chump change. It's taking a good while to get my own sites up to par, but I'm getting there and learning a lot along the way. If anything, I know FOR SURE now that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.

I have also noticed that when I'm writing about something I'm actually passionate about, the words flow a lot faster. It's a completely different experience from writing for someone that wants keywords in his article that have nothing to do with the topic, while demanding a high word count on a subject with limited resource material.

All that for bottom dollar, lol. Believe me, I can't wait to get my own sites far enough along that I can drop freelancing.

Hey Kyle,
Great accomplishment and I am sure you will hit the 15K mark
next month. The lesson is that until you get your head around it
and start writing, you will never know. I have had many people
relate experiences about their apprehension in accomplishing
a task or mission and then suddenly some motivation occurs
and then the next thing is completion. The amazing thing then
is usually a reaction in the form of, "That wasn't that hard". Keep up the good work.

Cheers,

I need to get past my mental block and I know I can do it. It's not so much of an I "can't" as much as it is about a trauma in my teens. My private writing was stolen from me and used against me during a time that was pretty traumatic, to begin with. I know all the psychological reasons for it and it is something I am working on every day.

I'm pushing my way through and I'm working with a psychiatrist and a therapist to get through it as well. I believe that when we work through things like this that we become much stronger people.

That is going to happen is you create content online, people will take your content and oftentimes there are programs out there that are scraping the Internet and copying content. You cannot take that to personally and as a writer within the online world , there will be plagiarism.

Google and other search engines will not reward sites that copy content, in fact they will remove them from the rankings. So focus on your content production and doing it with regularity, don't worry so much about what others are doing.

I sat down last night to work on content with several really good keywords in hand. Problem was that as I started writing I had no idea how I was gonna get 1000 words out of the subject. I finished 45 minutes later with 1600 words and could have easily gone 2000 if I weren't scared of extended blabbing losing the attention of the reader. It's amazing what happens when you work at it!
Reply
Kyle Premium
Haha, blabbing, that is what I feel like I am doing when I write. One tip I have for you is letting yourself blab, and when you go back and edit your content, you can decide whether or not you were actually running on too much.

Sometimes the blab contains some of the best ideas, so just let yourself write. You can always refine before you actually publish the content. :)

Nice work, and I think one of your upcoming writing efforts will lead you over the 2,000 word mark!

Kyle,

That is incredible! I chose a niche that I need to do a lot of research on before I can write, so that sometimes slows me down. Once I actually get going though, it just seems to flow. I like when you said "speak to them like you would a friend." When you keep that in mind, it makes writing a lot easier. I know this whole process of internet marketing is about setting goals and I think that is extremely important to push yourself.

Thanks for the inspiring post, I am going to go put some stretch goals on Site Content.

Really inspiring post, Kyle! Setting goals for yourselves are the best way to track your progress and achieve your dreams! They keep pushing your false perception of boundaries you have set yourself. My record is 3000 words in a day. I just wrote naturally without thinking about it. If I can do 3000 I can certainly do 5000 and more. I think a great way of achieving this is by creating best of lists. I have started writing those and the word count explodes.

Welcome to WA! I am also just a beginner at this, but recently wrote this blog here, maybe you can find some inspiration...
Also, maybe in thinking about your blog post, it would be useful to thing of it as 5x200words rather that one big chunk of 1000! This is what really helped me.
Best of luck, and mabe, just grab 10min five times a day, to write 10 sentences each time - set a timer and see what you come up with. Don't worry about the grammar etc, you can edit all that latter.
Wishing you a productive writing day!

Hi Lucrod, Welcome to WA. Kyle has not suggested for a very long article. In fact, any article beyond a certain number of words distracts the reader to go elsewhere unless it is exceptionally interesting and meaningful. What Kyle explained is to write maximum words for various websites published in a day. You too can follow him in the same league after completion of lessons step by step. All the very Best.

WOW well said, I wrote 3 articles today and thought I did an amazing feat. I once watched Toni Robbins have someone turn their head from side to side as far as they could go without moving their feet.

He then told them to close their eyes and visualize turning there heads a quarter turn further. He had them do it with their eyes closed and turn as far as they could without moving their feet.

When they opened their eyes, everyone of them had turned their head that quarter turn further. It was simply amazing. I did it also and it worked.

If you believe it and can visualize it, you can do it! I will be writing a 15k writing day as well. I am making this a goal for the future!

I just love the Blinkist App as it is SUMMARIES...as I can listen to or read book summaries in less than 15 minutes. It's 80:20 principle stuff to the extreme of efficiency! Getting about 80-90% of the content/key ideas of a book in such a short time. Then if I like the book I can do a "deep dive" and read the whole book using Scribd (cheaper than Amazon so thanks for that). Another great book for productivity is "Deep Work" which I also listened to on Blinkist App - there is so much gold in those summaries and the best part....I listen to them on my commute to work :-)
Free trial but the "Plus" (for written summaries) or "Premium" (for audio summaries too) are great value (cheaper than Scribd) :-)

Hi Kyle,
Thanks for sharing your tips, very inspirational. I think most of us realize that the more we read about our niches the better we'll be able to communicate. You explained the point very well and I won't rehash it.

Here is a fascinating tip that I recently learned from a blogger who I follow and who recently had a forum on ways not to run out of blogging ideas. I think it may be a big help to some people so I'm sharing.

The concept is to find interconnecting ideas in every post you write, and then see if you can turn those ideas into posts. The benefit is that you will get new posts that are also tightly connected to your niche, which Google loves.

Using a paragraph from a recent post I wrote, this is how the process would work. I have broken the paragraph into smaller pieces than normal for easier reading.

Benefits of Back Brace for Golf Pain

Wearing a belt while playing golf can help reduce over-extension of the lower back, which is often associated with causing golf back pain. (Idea 1: Ideas for reducing over-extension of the lower back)

I know what you’re thinking. You’d never be caught dead in one of those ugly stiff corset. Not to worry. I’m talking about a brace that provides stability while you perform your normal activities like walking or bending.( Idea 2: The most Comfortable Back Braces)

What I’m talking about and what you need is a brace that will simply limit an access of spinal movement so your back will get a chance to heal.( Idea 3: Braces that Promote Fastest Healing)

So from this one paragraph I am able, if warranted, to write 3 more posts. If one masters this process and uses care, it's possible to having a "bank" of ideas .

Just something to think about.

So true! I always try and focus on getting my point across in each blog post instead of a word count. I think I have topped over 1000 words in one, and other times they are in the 300-500 range. All depends on the topic at hand. Too many focus on trying to get it right, and I did too in the beginning, but no one is truly 100% perfect, so if you keep striving for perfection before you post anything, you'll always have "excuses" as to why you're not succeeding.

Thank you. The information written here is extremely useful. That is 100% true, communicating with other people online is the same as in the real world. The people on the other end wants to know they are speaking to an authentic person. You make a valid point about a person's upper limit/capability. Everybody has to start somewhere, even if that starting point is small. The more time you put into an activity the more your ability grows. A person's writing limit can expand in good time.

Being able to communicate effectively with either one or multiple people at a time is truly one of the best assets that a person could have, even if the individual is not involved with running an online business.

Communication is how human beings are able to engage with one another, done so hopefully in a positive manner.

Having the ability to communicate, really doing nothing but talking to a person as if he/she was right in front of you and doing so NOT as if you were talking down to that person is extremely important.

In addition, the ability to communicate effectively through one's website content articles can improve the more that the individual writes daily!

Kyle is 100% correct - communicating with people who come to a website seeking to find out something to improve their lives, based on a keyword research would be enhanced by reading truly engaging and relevant content articles as authored by that online business owner.

This type of communication is truly the lifeblood of a person's online business. It is also something that is absolutely essential to the success of all people who are members here at WA!

I watched a little clip by the prolific author, James Patterson, who said that one of his mentors had said that writing is simple. You just get a blank legal pad and stare at it until you begin sweating blood from your forehead. I thought that was hilarious.

Writing is one thing, and Kyle is right, the more you write the better at "more writing" you become. For me, what I struggle with is not necessarily consistently writing, but consistently writing well. I've got to fix that problem and be content with just writing as a practice.

The story goes that a burgeoning, young comedian asked Jerry Seinfeld what the secret was to his voluminous output. I thought and still think that his advise is spot on. He told the guy to create a chain of writing, every single day, and to never break the chain. He advised him to get a calendar and everyday that he would write something he'd mark an X on the calendar. This was to serve as a kind of visual reward because as you build the chain you build motivation to not break the chain.

Hey Kyle and everyone!

This is a great article and it makes me realize that we all start from our own 'square one' and hopefully push ourselves harder each time we write to produce more prolific and quality content.

Wouldn't it be fun if WA would sponsor or promote:
1 Some sort of writing competition for fun for those interested.
2 A way for us WA users to gauge and assess our writing proficiency and quantity/quality over time?

These are just suggestions for users that might be interested in gauging and competing in content creation!

It is one thing to write a certain amount of words per day but quite another to write them well. For me, it is the balance of speed and quality that is much more productive than a sheer word count.

It is a bit like buying a cheap kitchen gadget. It works for a year, and then you have to get a new one. Should have invested a little bit more in an established and durable brand which would have cost you less in the long run.

A good tip to improve the quality of your writing is the 'cold shoulder tactic.' Once you have written your piece, go away and do something else. After a few hours or a day go back to your manuscript with a fresh mind.
I bet my cheap tin opener that this will improve your text immediately.
If not, there is always that tin opener waiting for you.

Thanks for sharing this Kyle. I truly need to up my game in writing as it has come to a standstill. Giving myself goals like this will definitely get me back on track and consistently posting again.

I found when I was consistently putting out 3 posts at the same time each week on Mon/Wed/Fri yielded my best results. And as they say in this industry, if you are doing well in something, just rinse and repeat!

But setting higher word goals to write in a day is a great idea.

I also found that writing every Mon/Wed/Fri is a winning formula for me.

My goal though is to write 1 new post a day and publish them on those 3 days per week.
Once I have more than 12 posts (1 month worth of content) ready, I'll start publishing them 4 days a week.
And I'll keep doing this until I'm able to publish 1 post per day.

I just read a book the other day about increasing your writing speed (mainly focused on fiction, but it could work for blogging too). He suggested cutting off all distractions and writing in sprints (short ones first, then longer ones). And you track your word count for every sprint so you can see your progress. In essence, you're competing against yourself, so you psych yourself up for success. I'm going to try it! :-)

This is so encouraging and very motivational, thank you Kyle.

I've read a lot of amazing information going through the comments on this blog and the general consensus is that there are very real fears and struggles with writing on a daily basis.

My suggestion is, to repeat what Kyle said, make it your AIM to think of writing as having a conversation with your best buddy telling them all about your experience in your chosen niche.

How long do you spend talking to your best friend about anything and everything?

As a meter-gauge, next time you converse, remember to put the voice recorder on and then transfer that conversation to your PC into some software that can count the words of your conversation.

You'll be pleasantly surprised that you can actually write as many words!

Be encouraged, Kyle believes in you, many of us believe in you, and I really do believe in you!

You can do this!

For myself who I consider to be intermediate content wise and beginner design wise, I have to phrase my content and call to action at various points of each post.

Tweaking gets higher conversions, don't you think?

Practice makes perfect. I should read and especially WRITE everyday. Immerse as much time as I can in writing. Sometimes it's hard but it is only when you think it's hard. It's all in the mind and it's all in the change of your thinking that will spell the difference. I can write and I will write an article today.

Thanks a lot Kyle for always encouraging us.

I din't have problems to write a content when I have theme to write about (sometimes have stacked because of that), but when I found it, everything go smooth. I have another problem-all my articles are too long.and it is after redaction. (1700-2000 words and each next article becomes longer and longer) i am just thinking should i devide them? (Like 2 articles part ine and part two?) Or i do worry about nothing?

Quite inspiring, this certainly will be record to set Kyle, 15K. I am confident if you managed to surpass the 11K mark, then 15K is achievable indeed. Sometimes we suffer paralysis of analysis thus why we are slow in producing the content at the faster rate, I recall in one of the lessons, you encouraged us write first before criticising , then come back and polish our pieces before publishing.

It is not that I don't know how to write. I write everyday, for instance I write future letters for both my dàughters and my grandsons. I write in my journal and I am writing a book that I keep revising. My problem is I write to much, I think I tend to babble . So I write and then rewrite and rewrite and rewrite til I get it right ........in my mind. Reality is the first version is most likely the best with the most information. But proofreading it sends me into revising mode. Good news is I realize this and I am working on it.

I find my writing is getting easier, though maybe not too much quicker. Because a lot of my content is still new to me, I find I spend a lot of time researching. It’ll be so nice when I know all the basics, and can write about topics without so much research. Then again, things are always changing. Kyle, how do you do it? Lol

One thing about writing is that one must keep it simple. Simple sentences and never stray away from the point that one is trying to make. Writing is a form of art that expresses or thoughts and opinions and ee have that right to express our opinions and thoughts, beliefs. When one thknks he or she cant then thatbis the reality that he or she creates. A thoughtbis an activity, we cant see it but it real and when itsbspoken it comes into existence. Thanks kyle your a very intelligent and as well full of wisdom. But really writing is not the problem its the content that is presented may offend others. So there is a need for tact and consideration for others.

My guess woukd be to not use any other authors content as your own. And wahtever ones content is based off of to have cross reference from ones research for other to research for themselves.... It bestnto write from ones own experience or research in your owm words. Loll good question kinda rattled me a lil bit lol

Yes there was this particular process chart from ICANN and the text is easy to rephrase, but I find images and diagrams to be time consuming and annoying especially with SEO- enriching and saving them before uploading them to a particular post/ page.

That delays me but it constitutes a quality work, as google says. It’s that when I do find these amazing shortcuts, it’s laced with doubt, about its protection and citation- ability.
None the less I tell myself to go through with reinterpretation of such factual data , through excel but was wondering if I’m allowed.
Thankyou my gut instincts told me that it’s a no no territory. I seem to rattle not only others but myself too :) lol

Wow! That's amazing! My record was something like 6,000-6,500 words in a day.

I need to test in the near future if I could make it to 10,000 words.

On the other hand, the quality usually suffers when trying to write so many words fast.

What do you think about it Kyle? By the way, do you use recorders for writing that write automatically from your speech? I'm considering buying such software.

That many words can be in more than one article. As far as recorder I think that is a great idea. Try it out and see if it something that works for you

Thank you Kyle! I must admit, I was one of the ones who stress on writing. My content usually long but it would literally take me a week to finish it. Once I clued in on one of your posts, you mentioned making the writing conversational, my light bulb turned on. Since then, I have written many in one day, sometimes 2 days ... and now that I'm in the Super Affiliate Challenge, well I'm definitely pushing on writing faster. It's even fun now to write now that I can just be me and not some mechanical robot overthinking.

I tried the Google Docs voice recognition, not good at it but with more practice my writing will be faster.

That is wonderful to hear, as soon as you take the idea of trying to write for a robot and you try to create a conversation with real humans instead, something amazing happens to your writing fluency. ;)

We tend to get lost in the process and we forget that we are creating content for REAL people. Humanize your business and treat writing as it is purely communication of "ideas", life gets much easier online.

We are not all "writers" per se, but we are all communicators. Thus we can all create very successful businesses online.

Well put. For me as an individual, the part about writing that scares me, is the grammar and punctuation. Also getting all my thoughts and transforming them into written words. This I find difficult. And how it reflects back to me. I'm an over thinker!
But its amazing how I have learned so much so far. Reading the community members, blogs, to see their style of writing is helping exceedingly.
I guess it's a bit like learning to ride a bike." If I don't start pedalling then I won't go forward."
I think I need to trust myself more.
I will be an excellent writer.

Listen to what Kyle writes here, the one most important concept is to "speak to them as you would a friend". Forgetting this will stymie your writing faster than anything else. Just write like you talk every day. Forget about critics, they're paid to criticize anyone and everyone. If you want to make writing content easier for you, here are some tricks.
1. Go online and search for Grammarly, it helps you write mistake-free on Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and nearly anywhere else you write on the web. Now you won't misspell your words.
2. See Labman's post on "Free Voice Recognition"; Above all Just relax and tell them your story. it will get easier when you do.

Using dictation, like the bezoars that you shared can speed up the process of creating content. I know it has really helped to me speed things up and I type 80-100 words as it is. :)

If you're one hand typer or peck, it is an absolute necessity to look into tools like this that can speed up your typing. :)

Well, words count is not my biggest concern. What to write about is also not my biggest concern. Provide thorough and accurate information - that's my concern. Divide related information and organize it in separate posts is my problem. I think of a topic and how to write about it, but then it contains some other pretty complicated idea, that I should write about first and explain before I use it in the following blog. I use internal links all the time!

Unless I am working on your specific assignment (you proposed some topics in bootcamp and I decided to challenge myself), I try to pick the topics that I already know much about. However, in order to support my knowledge with precise facts, I need to look up these facts. I don't keep everything in my memory, do you? If I were to write this blog you just wrote, I'd probably think to myself: what was that person's name who first ran 4-minute mile? What year was it? I'd have to look this up. Facts like this one are easy and fast to look up - the are not controversial. But in many cases, when I start looking up information on the internet, I get 10 slightly different numbers or ideas from 10 different sources. Then, I spend more time trying to figure out which one is actually most accurate as I don't want to give approximate "facts" in the articles under my name. Is this wrong?

Last month, I only wrote 5 articles. The shortest blog was a bit over 1200 words, the longest - around 4500 words, altogether - somewhere around 12K words. I wasn't even close to the completion of your assignment on the number of blogs, but I was not too far from the target by the number of words... I realize that it's not good enough because I am not posting frequently enough.

I don't seem to be able to write more often and maybe shorter posts because I don't write words, I write ideas and concepts, and use as many words as I need to express and explain them.

I am trying to get the preparation work done quicker, but that's my biggest challenge so far. I am experimenting with organizing work per your advice in the March challenge for SWAG - preparing for more than one article upfront, but that feels even more complicated and unnatural for me at this time. I am trying to comprehend and adjust, but since March 7, I haven't written a single word yet. I feel like I should have published at least one blog already.

Okay, I just wrote 500 words... LOL I am telling you: it's not the writing itself that is problematic for me :)

I am not blogging here at WA because I try to write more often to my website and there is no way I could do both. I should probably blog this text instead of making it a comment, but these thoughts came to me in response to your blog, Kyle. It seems relevant here and not in a detached post. Last month, I completed all tasks except for internal blogs and number of posts to my website.

I am just sharing my personal struggle. I am not sure if anyone would be able to help me with any further advice - I need to figure it out for myself somehow...

Thanks for reading if you read that far. :)

This comment is a blog post, you have always been an amazing communicator and your content is always enjoyable to read, whether comments or website content.

But yes, research is definitely a requirement when you are creating content and you are pushing your boundary of knowledge, which is what will lead to expertise in any niche.

It is said that the best way to write like an expert is to write where you want to be, versus writing where you are. :)

Thanks for a great post, Kyle. The biggest thing that slows me down when writing content for my website is the research I need to do prior to the actual writing. I want to be certain that I don't give anyone incorrect information, and thus, spend quite a bit of time researching my subject before I write the actual article.

I'm thinking I might be able to be more efficient if I spent a whole day researching more than one subject so that I can sit down and write more than one post before I have to delve into the internet researching another topic again. What are your thoughts about that? Carol

Hi Carol,
I can completely relate. I feel very strongly about being able to back up what I say in a blog so a large part of my time goes to research as well.

This is important to me because nowadays you can find so much conflicting information on the web with different views, perspectives and opinions. I feel like if I say something to be as a fact that I need to back it up.

The good thing though for me has been that while I have been researching, I have been getting a lot of blog post ideas from the research. So I'm hoping that will speed things up for me (doing the research once and getting multiple posts out of it).

Have you found any ways of speeding things up but not compromising on the quality?

All the best,

Susie

Hi, Susie.

I have found the same thing when I'm doing research for a post. I get ideas for other posts from my research as well.

However, right now I am doing reviews of different brands of ballroom dance shoes, and each brand requires its own research because I'm including history of each brand, description of what makes their brand unique, description of each type of shoe (women's, men's, practice sneaker, Latin) and examples (images) of each type of shoe.

So it is very time consuming. I enjoy doing the research, and I am pleased with the ones I've written so far. I have gotten some good comments on them. I just wish I could do the research faster.

Hopefully when I finish this series of posts I'll have some that are less time consuming in the research phase.

At the moment, I enjoy writing, especially a content with minimum 1,000 words as Super WA Challenge required.

I just keep reading, shaping the knowledge about a particular topic, and keep writing. The more I write, the more I get better writing each and every day.

I will never stop and no way to surrender.
I just keep running for another "4-minute mile".

Thank you for your advice, Kyle.

One of the things that has helped me a lot when writing about something that I have a passion about, or something that I am interested in, is just sitting down to the computer and just getting my thoughts down on paper. I do not attempt to correct anything or check punctuation or be perfect. I just get my thoughts all down on paper FIRST. From start to finish.

THEN, I go back through and I break my paragraphs into smaller paragraphs, make some subtopics to break up my thoughts, and I will check my spelling. This is easiest when I am doing a simple post that does not require a lot of research. One that is not too terribly lengthy. The last thing that I do, is I READ IT ALOUD. That is when I can catch even more errors or see words I left out. This is a trick I learned from being in the legal field. When we write, it is very easy to leave words out or use the wrong word. When you read what you wrote aloud, it forces you to HEAR what is missing. It forces you to see what you need to correct. And if you are using the SITE CONTENT tool then you cannot lose because it is going to catch stuff as well!

And – just remember – the only way to get good at writing IS TO WRITE and keep writing. Get out of your comfort zone and just do it. Most of you are probably much better writers than you give yourself credit for. You just need to keep at it. Donna

What I like about writing Is the ability to perceive ideas and I do that by reading, Not until I learn something can I put it on paper, I like what you said about communicate to the reader, Ideas are expressed thru communication,

And in turn we deliver our continue desire to write, What you think about is what you achieve with positive thoughts are affirmations the goal is putting the word out and readable Thank you Kyle

In the beginning I did struggle a bit but writing blogs here at WA is great practice for publishing posts on our website.

I sometimes worry about waffling too much though but I try to keep it "light" and not boring. Last thing we want is our readers nodding off.

Your training here really helped to writer articles.

Why do I say that?

That statement above is a classic example. Asking our readers a question helps to maintain their interest. I learned that here :)

I have been using Dragon NaturallySpeaking for the past 6 months or so. On a really good day, I would write about 12,000 words.

Now, I have slowed down a bit to focus on the design of my WA affiliate site and I write about 4,000 words per day for my other niche.

It is very doable. Also, there is a feature in Dragon where you can run an MP4 through it and it will write out your article. You can create a YouTube video, convert it to MP4, then have Dragon transcribe it so you can make it a blog post.
