Coffee With Kyle: New Homepage, New Credit-Based Approach!

Hey everyone,

Kyle here with another episode of Coffee with Kyle... coming to you today from sunny Scottsdale, Arizona where I’m on vacation with my family.

I’ve got my Nespresso in hand (black, as usual), and I wanted to take a few minutes to share some exciting updates. Specifically around our brand-new Wealthy Affiliate homepage and how this shift ties into our broader AI and credit-based evolution.

A New Direction for the Homepage

We just rolled out the new Wealthy Affiliate homepage yesterday, and it represents a meaningful shift in how we introduce people to the platform.

Instead of leading with broad promises or courses, the homepage now focuses on real, tangible value, specifically, the 2,000 free AI credits that every new Starter member receives when they join.

Here’s why this matters:

  • It makes the offer clear and measurable.
  • It gives affiliates (and members who refer others) something real to promote. A free AI credit package worth $10 in credits.
  • It immediately connects new users with the tools that help them take action: logo creation, website setup, niche discovery, content creation, and more.

What You’ll See on the New Homepage

At the top of the page, the “Join Free & Launch Your Business” module highlights exactly what new members get:

  • Create a logo and website with AI-powered tools.
  • Discover hot niches using the new Jaaxy Research platform.
  • Create SEO content (including images).
  • Find affiliate offers directly inside Hubs.
  • Connect with a community of 2.9 million members.

You’ll also notice multiple references to the $10 value in free AI credits, reinforcing the real-world benefit of joining.

The entire flow is designed to be simpler, more conversion-focused, and easier to promote for affiliates.

Early Results (and What’s Next)

It’s only been live for just under 24 hours, but we’re already seeing a noticeable increase in conversions.

Now, it’s still early...sometimes new rollouts spike initially, then balance out but all signs point in the right direction.

This approach gives affiliates a much easier story to tell:

“Join Wealthy Affiliate free and get $10 in AI credits to start building your online business.”

It’s clean, clear, and instantly valuable.

The Future of Jaaxy Promotion (new page coming)

With the launch of Jaaxy Research earlier this week, I’ve had a lot of questions about how affiliates can promote it.

We’re going to be adding a dedicated page on the main Wealthy Affiliate website for this soon.

The external Jaaxy site will be sunset in about 25 days, as everything is now integrated directly into the platform.

This means you’ll soon be able to promote Jaaxy seamlessly (as part of the Wealthy Affiliate ecosystem)rather than as a standalone tool.

As Always, Your Feedback Matters!

I’d love to hear what you think about:

  1. The new homepage design and approach
  2. The credit-based entry model
  3. And how this new direction could make referring others easier for you

Drop your thoughts and feedback in the comments below, from the perspective of a user or a Starter member, or from an affiliate. Your input always plays a huge role in how we continue to refine and evolve everything here.

If you have any questions about the rollout or suggestions for improvements, please let me know in the comments.

Enjoy your weekend ahead, and we’ll catch up on Monday!

I absolutely love Jaaxy and all the ways it can be used! However, I’m a bit disappointed that it consumes 100 AI credits per search.

Here’s how I see it: if I’m writing around 50 blog posts a month with an average of 1,000 words each, the 60,000 AI credits included in the Premium Plus plan cover that perfectly. But if I want to run even just one keyword search per blog post, that’s already 5,000 credits gone. And if I decide to do 3–5 searches per article to refine my keyword strategy, the credit usage adds up really fast.

It would be great if Jaaxy searches were included in the Premium Plus plan or had a daily or monthly usage allowance. Alternatively, having Jaaxy credits separated from the AI writing credit; so keyword research and content creation don’t compete for the same pool — would make a huge difference.

3

You have lots of credits, and because Jaaxy has been upgraded and now uses AI extensively (and actually requires MANY calls), that is why there is an associated cost to it. If we are finding that people are maxing out too early with credits, then we can adjust but for now we are going to see how it plays out.

We don't want to be in a situation where people are short credits all the time with their P+ memberships, so do let us know how things play out for you. :)

1

Thank you Kyle for your response. And I really appreciate your kind gesture for me to come back to you regarding the credit situation in the near future.

2

um... honestly i think paying more than $12 a month. would hurt to click the purchase think maybe a link from your credits should open up s presentation of the features to know what to expect and maybe a webpage colored Theme yellow, red, green black on the home hubs my rank chat inbox icons
icons maybe an animated character. coffee looks good , i like carmel macchiato i really like that you are consistant with checking in on me. i feel like theres someone there in case i need help.

Thanks for your feedback here Jessica. :)

I like it Kyle! It's clean, grabs the attention and it's to the point. Plus I think the emphasis on using AI to build and grow an online business, will help many to take the chance and at the very least, check out WA.

I really like how you are showing right upfront the 2000 AI Credits and their USD value to Free Members. I feel this too, will help people to see they can do all 4 of those AI actions and still have 690 AI Credits remaining.

Question: Is the color of the font on the words "Business" and "Here" supposed to be a lighter shade of blue than the other words, or are my eyes playing a trick on me? It doesn't bother me, I'm just curious.

And by the way, your coffee looks a lot like a Chocolate Porter Ale to me. Especially with that foamy head. Are you sure that wasn't beer? 😜😆

The new home page looks good but I am somewhat confused with the options presented on the Pricing page. I see Starter (Free) and Premium Plus+ ($99/month) but I do not see Premium or Premium Plus Accelerated. I saw a comment from Kyle re the $19 first month disappearing and talk of what is received with the Premium Plus+ membership(the value is certainly there), but does that mean once someone joins then they could downgrade their membership to Premium at $49 per month? Perhaps this pathway needs some claarificaation.

3

Hey Geoffrey,

Yes, I upgraded to Premium Plus last month and a few days before the renewal date, I downgraded to Premium because I don't have the time to fully commit to three new websites, including all the social media profiles and YouTube channel for each website. It would take too much of my time but I am going to upgrade soon, though.

1

The premium membership is still there as a legacy membership. Starters can only take the premium plus option right away however as Hein stated below just before you first month lapses you can then downgrade to premium if you wish. So after going plus then decide to downgrade to premium you then get premium options at a cost of $49 per month.
So you go yearly for plus that the cost to you works out to around $49 per month on average.

Also note if you are a plus member and go down to premium you can only host 3 sites with premium so if you currently have more that 3 websites hosted here as a plus member you need to think your strategies first with what are you going to do with the other 7 sites should you wish to downgrade.

Do note that any siterubix website are counted as 1 site as part of the 10 or 3 websites depending on your membership.

Also with the accelerated, it is still there just not advertised as much due to the cost and mostly intended for those who can really afford that membership and are highly active online.

If you go to your profile pic top right then click ijn your case included with premium plus you will see the various memberships available for all three paid membership. Premium, premium plus and premium plus accelerated.

Hope that helps

Andre

Thank you Kyle. Glad you got away with your family - though, as usual, you are still working...

Some feedback - this is the first time I am creating a website to promote WA, so I am looking at things carefully.

As a potential starter member, the timer 'Exclusive Bonus - Offer Ends at Midnight Today' would be a red flag for me. We both know that that bonus doesn't really end tonight. The same with the exit popup that says 'exclusive bonus just for you'. It isn't 'just for me' - it's for anybody who happens to click on that link.

Therefore, as someone trying to refer people, I don't like those sort of claims. I feel I need to apologise for them, which I don't like doing.
I would actually - and will try - to lead with the second paragraph, which sounds perfect to me 'Everything You Need to Succeed Online'.

As a potential starter, as Fleeky says, I would also wonder 'If I need credits to do anything, then I'll need to spend a lot of $10, which is going to get expensive.' And if I know anything about AI already, I would wonder why I need these AI credits and why they are supposedly so valuable when I can simply ask ChatGPT, Copilot or another AI to do these things for me for free.

I also clicked the 'Pricing' tab where it says 'We have a membership for Everyone!' That is really offputting. It only mentions 'Starter' and 'Premium Plus' without mentioning anything about the initial $49 offer that includes enough credits for purchasing a domain. And the 'yearly' option is small and fairly hidden. And there is no mention of the $49 Premium that can be accessed after the first month - which would make it more 'a membership for everyone' and more in line for starters who don't need all the advanced training and additional AI credits that Premium Plus offers.

And I am wondering - what's the '4-Steps to Success Class'?

I hope this helps. I looked carefully today because a friend, who wants to start her own business and needs a website - she knows about mine - asked me whether a quote from Wix for a domain for 3-years was reasonable. I then had to explain to her that a website is more than a domain name and she'd also need to look at hosting plans and how to build the website. So I ended up studying the Wix hosting and their website builder reading reviews about that which suggested that their hosting plans would likely be more expensive than those of competitors and that once you had chosen a template, you wouldn't be able to change it. I've persuaded her to hold off with a decision for a little while.

All true.

On a side note… maybe the homepage could benefit from a “six-pack marketing strategy” ... six solid, clearly visible value points right at the top that hit all the major concerns a new visitor might have:

What you get for free (and how far it takes you)
How credits work (clearly, transparently)
What sets this apart from other AI tools
The real cost/value vs platforms like Wix, GoDaddy, etc.
How you can earn credits and grow inside the platform
Why the “4 Steps to Success” really matter

That kind of layout could make it easier for both new users and affiliates trying to explain what WA is all about ... without relying on urgency popups or vague bonuses.

Uh, just a thought

I agree!!! I was trying to explain things as clearly as possible on my WA Review and build trust, but I feel urgency popups and countdowns work against me.

P.S. With that friend I was also going to try NameGenuity. I found available domain names and suggestions for her and I added my referral link, but when I thought about it and tried out the sequence, I realised it wouldn't work. If she were to buy the domain with WA's NameGenuity, she would have a dot com domain that she would have to immediately upgrade in order to host it here. So the 'start for free' wouldn't work at all. I would feel I'd set her a trap.
