Bad day
I had a bad day yesterday. On my way home I got into an auto accident. Everyone is ok other than my 14 year old car.
However, we I look back on yesterday, I'm comforted by the fact it could have been worse. So I still have the freedom to pursue my goals here on WA and in my personal life. I may have been set back a little but nothing that time and some muscle relaxer can't cure.
Here in the US and most of the developed world often forget how lucky we are, we moan, groan and complain how bad of lives are , but in reality all we have are First World Problems. I've been to some poorer countries and let me tell you we have nothing to complain about, since we have the freedom to change our future. It may take some effort and hard work but you can change your future. We even have the Internet to help out.
For some of people in the world, our worse day, is their dream.

Well said and a great outlook. I'm sorry about the accident but glad that you were not seriously hurt. Take care,
Thank you. I spent 6 hours in the ER but checked out ok. Doctor said I'll have muscle soreness for a couple of days. I was like yes. Going to work today. So all and all I'm doing very well a little sore but very well. Hurray! I think I'll donate my car to a charity. At least I'll get a tax write off or sale it to a junk yard and get enough to pay for my premium account next year.
Yikes...six hours in ER not good. I am so glad that you checked out fine.
Being able to purchase a yearly premium account could be beneficial.
The tax write off is fine IF you are itemizing your taxes. If you don't itemize, the charitable contribution is simply a nice thing to do but it won't help on taxes. Of course, your tax preparer is the best person to get advise from. He/she will know what you are doing.
Best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year.
Sorry Keith to hear about your accident. I like your attitude about it though. May God bless you in 2017.
Hi Keith, glad to hear that you are all okay. We can replace material things but when our time comes it's final. Yes, we do tend to forget how fortunate we are as compared to other places in the world. I'm glad that you brought this up. I will make it a point in the new year to be more grateful for all that I have and show more care to others.
Regards,
Jerome
I use that reasoning every time I find my self complaining about my job. Then I get ashame of myself to think how lucky and blessed I am. To have a job, to have a job in an occupation that I love, too work on cool and challenging stuff and to be admired and respected my most of my coworkers and the pay is ok, not great but ok.
Then I think there is someone out there that would love to have my problems and my attitude changes.
Keith.
Keith, I am sorry about your car, but what a wonderful attitude no one died. it's just stuff

I am so happy no one was hurt. You don't need that in the middle of the holiday season.
Thanks
