How To Get Started With Organic Search: The Basics
Organic search is a process to get your website seen on search engines like Google, Yahoo!, and Bing. The results you see in the middle of the screen when you do a web search are organic. Getting started with an organic search can be confusing because there are many moving parts to consider.
The definition of organic search and its purpose
The organic search uses a search engine to find online information without paying for it. The purpose of organic search is to provide unbiased and natural results relevant to what you are looking for. When you use a search engine, such as Google, Yahoo!, or Bing, and type in a query, the results that appear are generated through an algorithm that includes many different ranking factors.
How organic search works
Use a search engine to find relevant results to your query. The goal of organic search is to provide the best possible results for a given query, whether through paid ads or unpaid listings. The first step to organic search is understanding how it works. An excellent place to start is by educating yourself with standard SEO terms and what they mean. Once you know how organic search functions, you can develop strategies to improve your website's ranking.
Why organic search is important
Organic search traffic can make or break your website. You must appear in organic search results to make sure you get valuable leads and potential customers. Think about it: when people want to find something online, they type what they're looking for into a search engine like Google. If your website doesn't appear in the results, those potential customers will never find you. That's why organic search is so important:
The benefits of organic search
Organic search is a great way to get started with your online marketing. Here are some benefits of organic search: -You don't have to pay for each click as you do with paid advertising. -Your website will appear more credible to searchers since it's not being "paid for" by the company. -It allows you to build long-term equity in your website. Paid advertising can be turned off at any time. Still, investments in SEO can continue to pay dividends long after you stop working on it.
The Voice Of The Customer
First, you should create content that matches the voice of the consumer. Keyword research is the bread and butter of creating content. It's the first step to consider making a landing page. It's how you can determine the actual need and create content that aligns with it. So, what makes up the voice? The voice of the customer would include the following:
The topic:
- Which problems are they trying to solve?
- What questions do they have?
The priorities:
- What is the most critical problem they are trying to solve?
- What do they want to know right away?
Their preference:
- How should we present the information to them?
The goal of your landing page is to match the consumer's voice and the keywords they use to search for that voice.
Landing Page Optimization
The objective of your landing page is to get them to take a specific action. You want them to subscribe or engage with your content so that they receive more information from you. (may lead to a sale) The objective of building a landing page is not to drive traffic but to convert traffic into leads and sales.
You should only create a page that compliments the keyword's relevance. While content like blogs, videos, and infographics help, creating a page that addresses the keyword is vital. Your page will be indexed faster and more relevant in search engines.
Content Marketing - What's Important To Consumers
The better you understand your customers, the better you can demonstrate how your product meets their expectations. It's a simple concept. Think about the way you search for products you want. You want to create a page that matches the language of the consumer.
There are a few ways to do this. You can look at search logs of Google searches to see what people are searching for. This helps you fine-tune certain concepts.
For example, I sold some Ecommerce content services to a client that sold products for 3D printing. Understanding your audience and search volume for a specific keyword is important. For example, 'DIY dog shampoo' has a monthly search volume of 20. This makes it a great keyword to target. The next step is to create content around 'DIY dog shampoo.' You can create a blog post, infographic, or video.
Consider The Platform
- Another way to get more traffic from search engines is to consider the platform. The most common types of platforms used by smartphone apps are Facebook, Google, SlideME, and Yandex. More platforms will be added to the list later.
- It is important to note that Facebook and Google are primarily used in North America and Europe. At the same time, Yandex is popular in countries where the Russian language is used.
- There is a reason that different platforms rank differently. In fact, one of the biggest reasons platforms rank differently is they are optimized differently. So, remember that you need to consider the platform before starting your SEO campaign.
- Public Platforms rank differently than Private Platforms.
- The most significant difference between public and private platforms is the number of users. Have you ever noticed that some of the top search results for many terms are sites like Amazon?
- Not every search engine is the same, and not every search engine will give you the same response. The search engine that most people use and trust are Google. This is because it has been around longer than any other search engine and is the default on most browsers. As a result, Google is where people go first when they want to search, rather than any other search engine.
- When you choose a platform, you're choosing a future. Choose wisely. This means you must look at where most of your traffic comes from. In my case, I know that Google and Bing/Yahoo combined account for almost 90% of my traffic. Therefore, I need to focus on those two search engines rather than the others.
- Think about the platform your intended audience uses and target your keywords on that platform. For example, Instagram has over 400 million users, which is on the rise. This is an excellent platform for photographers and food bloggers since Instagram is more visual than other platforms.
- Even though Facebook is considered more of a social networking platform, there are many business pages on Facebook with a lot of followers. Because of this, many businesses have pushed their advertising dollars into Social Media rather than Google Adwords.
