Hi, I am not familiar with that theme, but I think if you go to
APPEARANCE> CUSTOMIZE you should be able to edit those .
Well, it wasn't exactly there. But under appearance, there was a link that said "Foodeez options" It does allow me to edit the pictures. Although a bit hard to understand all the way. I'm sure I can play with it and figure out that part. I still don't see an option to be able to add text on top of picture or bring my text up on the page... ;-(
You have to add text to your picture before you up load it. I use Photoshop. Camptasia or any good photo editor should be able to do it.
Thank you bill808. I am referring to my theme static page pic however. My text are at the bottom of the page. Can I move the text up on a static theme page??

I ended up using Easy Google Fonts plugin and it worked like a charm. Now my site is actually readable without a magnifying glass or bifocals...lol. Thanks guys!! :-)
hi kmac73. Can you tell me how you added Easy Google Fonts to your website please. I'm abit of a newbie at this and need to change my font size.
I use a plugin called "fonts" very simple to use for simple edits but for a site-wide change, changing the global font is better.
If you update your theme then you need to redo. Changing global theme font.
Thank you LelandBest and Kathy331. As I'm updating my site, the font is just way too small. I am going to look at Jay's webinar on it and attempt to enlarge.
After looking into it, this may be your only option besides building a child theme and editing .css files

Does anybody have any ideas on how I could approach restaurants in my city to give me gift cards and/or discounts that I can offer to others? I am working on a business/website

I know from our conversations you said you frequent a lot of different restaurants in your home town and a few know you by name.
I'd suggest starting at one of those, or maybe a locally owned one. See if you can talk to the owner and just ask what they would want to get out of your service.
I know you're supposed to go in and tell them why they need to be on your site, but it might not hurt to get the reason directly from the source if you have a good relationship with a few restaurants already.

I do know several personally and do a lot of business at them. I am working on how I actually want to structure my site so I can give them something to look at when I talk to them. Thanks for the insight Brok.

Hello Kmac next time you are at a reasturant ask the manager or server for promo specials or plainly let them know about your website and how you would like to promote there company.
Start with one restaurant and ask. He/she will direct you from there. I don't know what Ibotta is but what would you do with the free gifts?
Thank upsgirl. Ibotta is a little mobile app that gives out discounts on different grocery items. A lot of people use it. You have to have an idea of what you normally buy then go through the app and check out the different stores in the area that may sell what you are looking for. It is pretty interactive. You take a survey or watch a little video clip then go buy the item(s) and you get some cash back. It is interesting, but a different idea/approach. They do a few restaurants as well. My plan with the free gift cards is to give them away. Give people a discount on their restaurants they go to anyway. While I was waiting for a response, I was researching more. I am going to do exactly as you said plus maybe do a bit of mailing/emailing as well. Thanks for the answer. I am going to get my website up then start with restaurants I frequent and go from there.
