How to Get Wealthy Affiliate Referrals Without A Website! by Kelli Brink
Did my title peak your interest?
Good, because I'm going to share some of my thoughts here on how you can even make money from home getting Wealthy Affiliate referrals without ever posting on your own website.
WHEN I FIRST STARTED ON WEALTHY AFFILIATE
When I first went Premium, I thought: "I'm just here for the training...I don't need to interact within the Wealthy Affiliate community...posting on my little WA blog is a waste of my time!"
My thinking was...why would I waste time posting here on my WA blog when what really matters is my OWN website posts? I thought, THOSE are the ones that will get indexed in Google. THOSE are the only ones that will ever make me any money!
WELL GUESS WHAT...I WAS WRONG.
When someone is searching for something in Google...let's say as an example, "How to Build Website Traffic".
In the Google search results, there will likely be ten articles from all different sources. There is absolutely NOTHING preventing one of those search results from being a blog post that someone right here in Wealthy Affiliate wrote here on their WA blog (not their own website).
Let's say one of those articles in the search results was written by YOU! Let's say that little WA blog post gave some really great information and convinced the reader, "HEY! This sounds legit...I trust this person...I want to sign up TODAY!"
Not only could it happen, but it's VERY LIKELY!
STAY INVOLVED IN OUR COMMUNITY
Additionally, if you don't take part in the WA community, you're missing out on potential for friendships, mentoring, and even side income.
There are tons of people here who help others with additional training and help, assistance, and more. There are tons of helpful people and even freelancers here who you can hire. There's just a wealth of knowledge here at Wealthy Affiliate.
People help each other out and pay it forward. In this comunity I have helped others and they have helped me.
I've also earned additional business in my freelance graphic design business, which I do part time in my free time (which I don't have a whole lot of anymore thanks to WA!). I have formed friendships with clients that I never would have met if it weren't for commenting in posts and helping in love chat. It's another way to get the word out about your own strengths that you can use to help others, and vice versa.
There are just so many reasons to connect within the WA community.
HOW MANY WA BLOG POSTS HAVE YOU WRITTEN?
If you're like me, the answer is, NOT A LOT! Like I said before, my thinking was that I needed to concentrate on my own websites, not the blog on WA. I have recently changed my thinking on that, because as I learn more on WA, I see that there are many different ways to earn referrals.
I now hope to post more on my WA blog, because it is a very good way to earn referrals without EVER even posting on a website.
YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO HAVE A WEBSITE!
So, in theory, do you even need a website of your own to make money from affiliate marketing? No. Do you need anything other than a Wealthy Affiliate Premium account? Nope! All you really need to start making money with Wealthy Affiliateis WEALTHY AFFILIATE!
So.....those are my own personal thoughts on how to get Wealthy Affiliate referrals without even posting on your own website.
What do you think? Are you actively posting on your Weatlhy Affiliate blog, or are you neglecting it? Comment below! :-)

Sad to say I am neglecting it at the moment but I do know all the benefits and plan to get back to the blogging shortly.

Hi Kelly
Excellent post and very valid points you've made! ;-) I too am guilty of not posting enough here on WA.
Just a note... when you are the writer of a WA blog post, and somebody gets to it through Google, and then choose to sign up, they are your referral, even if there were no link in your blog post. That is how the WA system is designed. Thus, technically, there is no reason to insert your own sign-up link, into your own WA blog posts (although nothing is stopping you either). And nothing lost on previous posts that didn't have links either! (Good news, isn't it?) ;-)
But of course, if you send a link to somebody else's WA blog post (via email for instance), make sure to use YOUR affiliate link for that post. (Picture attached for the benefit of new people who may not know how to do this.)
You've made an excellent point, Kelli. I should start blogging more at WA. ;-)
Wishing you all of the very best!

Thanks Sharlee!
I *kind of* knew that you'd get the referral, but I didn't really know the details of that, so thank you for clearing that up!
I guess my thinking was, it can't hurt to make a couple word links clickable just in case! :-)
But the main point of my post was my epiphany of "HEY I need to blog more here at WA!" :-)
lol
You are right, Kelli, it can't hurt. But should one forget... at least the WA system has got us covered. ;-)
Yes, awesome of you to have shared that epiphany with us! You're a star! ;-) This is what makes this community so awesome! ;-)

The moral of the story I'm getting to in this blog post is that Wealthy Affiliate blog posts matter.
They do show up in search engines and can still earn you referrals.
I previously thought it was only my own website that could bring me WA referrals, but now I realize that posting here at WA is also important, and yet another way to make sales.
Thank you so much for this post. I think I have missed a trick here.
I thought that because I wrote the blog that I would automatically get the referral.
You may very well be right Jadatherapy! I just give myself a double insurance policy by making a few of my links within the post clickable so that readers have an extra way to sign up. :-)
Thinking about it really hard.
I agree with you.
I also think logging my process every now a again is a good Idea.
Great post Kelli! You are right, I never thought about this. I've only posted a few myself. I need to do more and go back to my old posts and add my WA link.

Great post Kelli,
I've always wondered about this and I did not want to do to many things at the same time and end up doing nothing. So the only thing I did and still do was focussing on my own website.
As for referrals, I only used words of mouth as well as posted on my social network pages. It has not brought me much referrals this way but I am not giving up. I am still working on my website(s) and in the meantime If I think of an interesting topic for my WA blog I write the blog. However it is a great idea to use that virtual blog to promote our referral links and story.
Thanks again
