My mane niche is recreational and medical cannabis. I was wondering if successful cannabis affiliates from the community can share some tips and eventually guide me into becomi

Hello one of my sites is strictly cbd and i have found the best way to sell is by providing education about the benefits.
There is a lot of misconception when it comes to what cannabis is and the terminology. So if you can provide those 2 ingredients to your readers then u can recommend ur affiliate program to them with better success.
Especially now that it is voing main stream with the 2018 farm bill and more states approving cannabis cor medicinal...recreational plus now that cbd itsrlf is legal in all 50 states.
A lot of people looking for educational incormation on the subject.
Good luck.

Oh one more thing..important...federal is watching so make very sure that you do not make any claims stating that it ..CURES...anything.
That one word making a ( Claim )that cannabis or cbd (Cures) can get your whole business shut down.

Cav, thank you so much for taking the time to share some tips. I will make sure I follow them. As of right now, I only focus on populating my website with quality posts and articles. When do you think the website will be ripe enough to start posting affiliate marketing link? I did not want to start too soon to avoid disappointment but at the same time, it would be nice to have an idea when the time will be right.
Thanks again for all the advice

Pascal

I am no pro with cannabis but I can tell you that if you follow what you already know, you will succeed within that niche. Do some keyword rich posts that talk about the topic and throw in some product reviews as well. Mix it up, have some fun, and remain consistent. Everything else will fall into place.

Hi everyone, How do I get my site title to appear beside my logo? Do I need to change my site theme for that? I've tried going into the appearance customization but could not f

Yes, definitely create a logo the way you want it to be and you won't have to worry about trying to make two things do one. You're going to get a headache, so save yourself the time and stress by creating an awesome logo. That image you have will go great with some text and Canva is definitely a great place to get it done.

Hey John,
Thanks and nice to see you again. I've tried what Marion suggested but the theme resizes it and makes it unreadable.
Take a look if you can at www.ahealingweed.com

I think it's fine to be honest. I do think that the background needs to go though as that is what makes your header harder to read.

Good point John,
I changed it. It does indeed make things better but I will keep searching for a way to make the text bigger.
Good night.
Thank you

Did you try using Canva? You can pick whatever size you want on there.

The problem is the theme that automatically shrinks whatever size I create and I am not sure how to change that in the code. I will probably end up changing the theme

Alright man, just keep me posted!

Go to canva.com and create a new header image which includes your logo and site title.

Hi - I don't know how to solve your problem, but just as an aside, your site is not secure. You need to switch on your SSL Certificate using Site Manager.

DianeScorpio, thank you. Will do.

Some themes have more options than others. While most of them that I know have the option to put both logo and title, it can be difficult to manage them the way you want.

From WordPress, you should go to customize, then Site identity. There you will see options like in the picture.

Write your title and upload a logo and they should appear in your site.

Note: UNCHECK little boxes if you want title and tagline to appear on your webpage.

Dalibor Thanks for the quick reply. Let me try that out and see. Not sure if it looks the same as on your pick.

www.ahealingweed.com is my site and you can see that the empty space beside my logo should have the title in it.
Will keep you posted.

The image below is what I get, no check mark for hiding or unhiding the title.
Does that mean I may need to change the theme? I don't want to play with the theme HTML code...

And if you remove logo does title appear than?

Yes, it would. Because I remember it used to be there until I added the logo.

Then it could be your logo is too big. Try making it smaller. Play a bit with the size of your logo and see when will title show.

Suggested logo size should be 350 by 70 pixels.

OK, let me try that.

Made logo 100 x 99 but the result is the same. It removes the Site title from the header

Perhaps this theme doesn't support both title and logo at the same time. I don't know what other option could it be beside that one.

You can experiment with a different theme in a live preview. And once you find one you like, you can change to it, if you want.

Thank you very much for your help. Will keep trying.

I hope you manage it eventually!

Hey Pascal,

Though I may get "stoned" by some members for saying this...

If the WA owners were to do that they would need to cover EVERY language possible or take the chance that they may get sued for failing to include a language.

PLUS, they would HAVE to greatly increase the cost of memberships in order to cover the expense of hiring several new staff members that would be needed to look after all of the translations.

I won't stone you for that as I find your explanation makes sense to me. However there must be a way to help without having to involve the whole platform. Dale mentioned language add-ons which i find to be a solution too.
Cheers

When operating a business, cost has to be included in any decisions being made.

Here's an example:
When I signed up to be an affiliate to Amazon (before OneLink was introduced), I chose to become an affiliate of The United States of America's Amazon, even though I am a Canadian.

Why?
Because Americans buy waaaay more than other countries, meaning that I have a better chance of making more money targeting American buyers and thus staying in business, if I choose to "go where the money is".

Affiliate marketing is not a necessity of life, so why is it being considered wrong for WA to stay where the money is in order to stay in business helping others to learn to make money?

Language add-ons have their share of troubles too which mean hiring more staff. Cost effective choices have to be made in any business in order that a business remain profitable.

Pheeeew... thanks for not stoning me (wink).

It would be nice to have sub titles to the video's in other languages, I ask about this, but for now it doesn't seem to have priority

That would be awesome Loes. WA is by far the best affiliate marketing platform out because of its all in one approach and so many people could benefit from it if we could find a way to drop the language barrier.

They could always just add a translation addon to their browser

Hey Dale,
Have you tried that? Any Add On you would recommend?

I haven’t personally tried it, but I think most are free so they could play around to find one that suits.

Hi, Pascal try the add-ons from Firefox. Like Mate translate or Language tool. But I think it is much easier to learn a bit of English, since one can use it all over the place. And if you have quite a few people why not be a good host and help to translate. It doesn't mean to do it word for word. Just the general meaning. I did speak English when I joined the internet world but improved a lot since then.

Herzlichen Dank Marion,
Thanks for the advice Marion. You are all right and that is how I am going to sell it out there.
English customer base is definitely bigger than any other language... except Mandarin I guess. Lol.

Wish you good luck, it's nice to see that you are doing great.
