Can anyone recommend the best stock photo subscription with a decent price? My niche is homeschooling so I need something that is going to have a variety of pictures that would

Hey Heidi,

I use DepositPhotos... I like it for my dive site.

I was looking at this one.

Nice... what do you think of the DepositPhotos so far?

I love using Adobe Stock.

I use Big Stock https://www.bigstockphoto.com, great thing is you have the option of a subscription or just purchase credits to download images ($35 for 10 images)

I went in and did a search and there are over 96,000 images (646 pages) for homeschooling

I use Stencil, which is a paid service. It is a good graphic design service that enables me to make great graphics with stock images.

I use Unsplash but I also have a subscription to stockunlimited. I think the subscription is $39/year, so I find that to be affordable.

I just looked and typed in "school" and there are 42 pages of images. Not sure if they are what you are looking for, but might be worth a try.

Hope that helps.

That is very affordable. Is there a limit to the number of images you can download? I know it's called "unlimited" but that may not be for downloads.

You are correct, it's unlimited. They have a variety of images, vectors, etc, some of them are cheesy, but I do find many that I can use.

I am not sure about editing and using the images with a logo. You can contact stockunlimited customer service and see. I like the fact that you can contact them.

I do use a lot of the free ones but if I wanted to sell some of my own products with images in them or create a logo, I was thinking it would be best to actually have a subscription of images I'm allowed to do that with. It seems that's even tricky because there are limits on those as well. For instance, in Canva, the images that say free aren't free for commercial use. You have to pay $1 for one time use, $10 for so many, and then $100 for the multi-use license.

I guess my question is whether I'm able to use the images on the sites that are free like Unsplash and Pixabay for that purpose?

My main use would be images on blog posts and a logo. Then secondarily it would be for products I would create down the road.

Just had a thought.
Would the images in the attached pic be what you are looking for?

No probably more individual images of things relating to my posts. It would be a wide variety depending on what I write about. For example, if I write about learning styles, I may want images of something representing those. Or maybe the science careers a student may be interested in.

Ok, I will take a looksee for science careers and learning styles.

I published a list some time ago.
Lots of members refer to it Enjoy

Thanks!

No probs and did you look at the pic in my second reply?

I did not see that until I just ready your response. I will check that out. Thanks!

Pixels, Wix, there are images on the Gutenberg version as well as many others, but these come to mind right away. Hope this helps out a bit.

I use two free sites - Unsplash.com and Pexels.com

It's worth a shot!

For anyone using the Ashe theme (or any theme with this problem) how do I get my header to show up correctly on mobile? I have spent an entire day creating a header/logo I love

You must size the original image for mobile, and let it be 'blown up' for the desktop - this can result in pixelization, however. The reason your custom image doesn't display is that it is too large to render in the space allowed for mobile and the theme isn't dynamically resizing the image for you.

Thank you! Do you have a specific size that you would recommend for mobile?

No, unfortunately, I don't. I'm not sure what the screen resolution is, I just know how to fix it... but I'm a bit outdated on the sizes.

Ok- thanks!

When I made the image smaller and published, it made 4 of my header images to fill up the space instead of stretching it.

Through more research, I have found out that you can put a header image on my theme or a logo under site identity. I was able to change the size of the image in site identity and it's still large on my pc and while I can see the whole logo now on my phone, it is very small and no matter what size i change it to, it stays small and is unreadable.
