What a double take?
Well, would you believe that a journalist / reporter who joined WA on March 26, 2019 has turned out to be a copy cat here?
You'd think that someone with such a backgorund would know better especially also with extensive digital knowledge.
This person has just been caught copying my text + emoji and using it as his.
This is called plagiarism and is theft of intellectual property.
He has been duly advised to Stop copying other peoples' work, text, compositions, images, etc.
.... and has been reminded of Kyle's post on Spam ...
the consequences of mis-behaving can result in writing bans or even be shown the door & barred off the WA platform completely!
Everyone, it is simple -- please, just kindly create your own content to the best ability possible and to behave with integrity!

Glad you discovered this. Content is hard to come up with. That's why it's so serious. When someone gets a free ride.

it takes time & effort & thinking & drafting & re-drafting to get really solid content going ...
this guy's behaviour is way outta line -- thinking he can just swing in and copy and use it for himself .... it's out right theft ! .... and there's consequences for that!
he's already been made aware today of his infraction and it's noticed that he's deleted it -- he's obviously read it ...
ya -- free riders -- that's a good way to put it ... they are 'takers!' and that's not in line with the operating principles of this platform here at WA ...
keep well, stay vigilant, keep happy & report spam whenever you come across it to keep this platform free and clear of debris ...

It is unexpected from someone who works in a profession that succeeds or fails on the basis of creditability.
The platform has gotten so big and seemingly out of control in the past few months with spam bots, copy cats, fake profiles, newbies not following the rules, and, and, the lists gets pretty long. All this affects us who are working diligently for the moola and only have to deal with these issues that we should not have to deal with. That happens a lot on social media also, especially Facebook (Fakebook, not my words but that word is what that I commonly see on the Internet). Hope after the rebuke, it wont happen again, be sure to watch to make sure.

Perhaps he isn't actually a journalist at all. Maybe he lied on his profile. It is really sad how common this sort of behavior has become. I see it so often and always get annoyed. I am glad you caught it!! I hope he gets banned. There just isn't an excuse for that.

he's fully aware as he's been given a warning and he's since deleted it ...
however, is this the end of it? ... unlikely, it's more like a behavioural trait that has worked for him unchecked in the past and thinking he can get away with it ... well, not this time .... goodness knows what was going on in his head ... sheeze!
I found out someone was blatantly copying my content last year and using it on their own website. It was awful and stressed me out since I started wondering what else was out there that was being stolen from me! I reported it to the search engines however and it was taken down. It looked like their whole site was copied content.
... the best we can do is look out for each other ... it seems as if it's not one thing then it's another ... sheeze ... can't they just behave?! ... guess not .... lol ... :)
