I have read over the rules for using Canva graphics. It seems like I can use Canva graphics if I change them and make them my own. I want to use some graphics that I have chang

I agree with Stephen
As long as you personalise each graphic, I believe that they will be okay to use

As long as you have personalised it, in my opinion it should be ok. However with any legal question we should be consulting the professionals.

Interesting I never thought about doing this!

You can certainly do your own designs on Canva and use them accordingly.

You may also try 99 designs dot com.

Thanks, this provides some clarity but I have more questions. I do appreciate these links.

There are a lot of good recommendations for eBooks but what about direct to print vendors for t-shirts, mugs, etc?

👋 Hi,

Here's a few of what I have: Printful, Printify, CafePress, Gelato, Zazzle, TeePublic, Lulu, Moo, Blurb, Art of Where, Camaloo, and Tee Launch.

I hope this answered your question,
💎Kimmy

Thanks, this is a list of them. I was hoping for recommendations on which one is the best. Abie helped and I am going to try her recommendation. Keith

Ooof. That was what the question was so I gave my recommendations. I'm glad Abie was able to give you the best.

You are right. My question was not detailed enough. I do appreciate the list. There are lots of them and was curious what everyone is using.

I use Ingram Spark.
You can do everything from their website.
Professional quality, reasonable pricing.

Good luck!

Al

Redbubble is a good example.

Have a store there, do you designs and sell them. Great endeavors.

Of course there's others. You can update your blog with posts that are relevant to what you are trying to sell and link to your redbubble store.

Thats a great idea, AbieAJ!

Rudy

Keith would definitely love it.

Thanks, I am researching it now.

You're very welcome!

I received an email today from a group that wants to do a guest post. I looked them up and seem legit. Do you do these guest posts and what do you charge if you do? I am not su

Hi Keith, I am actually very open to receiving guest posts on my site and typically get quite a few emails a week with such requests. I think Partha's answer is a good one below but here is my advice - make sure the guest post is a reasonable length and well written. Make sure it is plagiarism free (use SmallSEOtools.com) and maybe limit the number of links in each guest post.

Also, make sure the content is relevant to your niche.

👋 Hi,

I think guest posts are a great way of branching out and is a great way of earning extra income! As long as they are trustworthy, genuine, you are both niche-related (ideally, but not really mandatory), and the agreement is mutual.

They are likely trying to grow their backlinks so at some point in the post, they will be promoting a link or two (or more). It depends on what both of you will agree upon, but you have to make sure both of you get benefits to it. Will you charge a fee? Will you guest post on theirs? Will you get a free product? That is all up to you and your judgement on how it benefits you as well.

I hope this answered your question,
💎Kimmy

I guess it depends on your niche, situation and what you want to achieve.
I have been getting a few and straight out reject ( in the nicest possible way) pretty much all of them.

However, ( my new fave weekly word) if it is someone in my niche whom I know, I will consider posting the article fully disclosing who and where it was written.

The ESL market in Vietnam has a limited number of long term players. And after 15 years I have met or know most of them.

So, my last guest post was a free post ( for me) and I also had the option to change anything I was not comfortable with. I then sent the manicured article back to the writer and asked for there acceptance or not.

This last guest post was by someone now living in Australia, while I am still accountable and living in Vietnam. I still have to protect my back, lol.

Why did I do it.
It very quickly gave me lot of feedback from people who had never read or seen my website before.

In 10 months I have only accepted 2. And both had positive outcomes. Great feedback from Australia and New Zealand. .

And the other article was written by a South African who I had interviewed, also with good feedback from South Africa.

So, yup I had to do a bit of work….. But it paid me off with increased readership.

Cheers
Stephen

You’re in control here. If they’re willing to pay the price you set and they provide a quality article, why not? But in 99% of the cases, it’s a poorly written article and they offer to pay very little if anything.

So just as with anything else in business, you decided :) Google doesn’t frown on a website having multiple authors, you just have to make sure it’s even worth your time.

Like others are saying here, we wouldn't do it.
These companies are really good in PR and they will certainly find some who bite because they do not have a community to give them insight..

Thanks for letting me know. I have not dealt with these types before.

I have a need to create posts/pages that are a little more interactive. Do any of you have recommendations on how to do this?

I understand what you mean. I wrote in academic style because I was used to that from the beginning.
Write in conversation style as you talk to a friend.
You can start with the post with a question
Are you aware that....?
Do you know that....?
You can share a personal story about a challenge you had relating to the topic and how you solved it. Then let your audience know how they can apply the same solution to solve their pain points.
I hope it helps.

Hi Keith
Not sure of what interactive resources you may need.
I wrote a blog last year that consisted of several ways to.spice up.your blog
Maybe this will help Let me know please

it is a great post. Yes, I am trying to make my content more interactive but sometimes I want to put a mini-lesson in the flow of the content. I have found some good tools to do that. I want to increase the time spent on my content if that makes sense.

A very simple example could be I am talking about binary and binary arithmetic I may want to put a micro activity on binary to have them do what I am talking about.

I have done this with a Python post I did with a little success but I did not completely like how it worked.

Keith, if that's the case, you can use Canva to do that.
I've used Canva several times for activities in my posts
There are so many resources and images that will be able to help you to put in your ideas into your post.
Please check it out and have a look around.
Let me know if it has been helpful

I use Canva a lot so I will have to look to see what I can find that will help. Thought it of just doing images.

There are tables resources that you can now use :)

Let us know if this is something you are looking for Keith and thank you.

I have not seen these but this is closer to what I am looking for. Everyone is so visual today that I want to put a nice "map" in my content to guide/coach people to where they need to go.

Totally Keith and you're very welcome.

Let us know how you get on, and if there's anything you are needing, please reach out.

Always a pleasure to be of assistance.

As long as you have traffic, being a little bit controversial and inviting your visitors to comment either way can be a good start.

That is definitely a good start. I need a page to dynamically change based on the needs of the reader on some of things I am promoting.

Sounds like a webhook. Not my area of expertise, I'm afraid. Well, not yet, anyway.

Yes, I am learning about the block editor right now and a lot of nice features that may help me here too.

Are you talking about interactive as in creating a discussion? Asking questions in your post, especially at the end, is a great way to do that.

It encourages your audience to respond and interact with not only you but other commenters as well.

The content itself needs to be a little more interactive not the discussions. I will use these to guide my visitors on what is best for them. Does that make sense?

Man I can't say I really know what you're meaning. With a post or even a video, most all the interaction is going to come from questions and comments in the comment section. A great post, and many times one that takes a slightly controversial stance, like Phil said, can really create not only engagement, but shares, views, and traffic.

Sorry, I was thinking of a page to have some questions in the content that drives them to something that is more targeted to them. This is harder to explain than I thought.

You can definitely have questions in the content with links that lead your reader to something more targeted depending on their answer. Internal links like that get your reader to exactly what they're looking for and that leads to conversions :)

How do you get more clicks vs impressions on your sites? I am assuming that it is important to have clicks but maybe I am not seeing the big picture. Any insights would be help

Clicks are much easier to measure than impressions. The definition of a click is pretty evident, but the definition of an impression, and thus what is reported as an impression varies widely. That's why you can see more clicks than impressions.

This may not be related to ads | social media platforms vs blog

Key here is to have as much succinct original content as possible and I think you know that already.

Also please know not all our posts would attract and rank, thus the recommendation is to keep updating content 2 - 3 posts a week a niche a site and that's for the foreseeable future, onward sharing to social media platforms which I also believe you are aware of.

Things to ask yourself

How focused in your niche, does it resolve issues?

How your posts best benefitting your readers, are you writing to them vs search engines?

How are you doing building rapport?

Are your targeted keywords searchable? etc

Thanks! A good reminder for me. Yes my keywords are searchable, my content is about educating around a topic. I use a combo of jaxxy, competition research, and seeing what questions are being asked. I know not every post will be indexed. I am going to study my keywords in google a little closer and see if i can learn what my competitors are doing that I am not. I will keep doing 2 to 3 posts a week but I might take a different approach. I am seeing trends that are guiding me on my writing. Just seeing if a post title or meta description can be worded in a way to entice people to click more. I will research that here.

No worries, happy you are and I am sure you'd make out great.

Kindly let us know when needing help or have further questions.

An impression is counted each time your page/post is shown on a search result page

Clicks is how many times your page/post was actually clicked on and viewed.

The goal is to get as many click as impressions.

Do a search on your page title (put it in quotes) with the most clicks. Review the meta description and page content of your competition. Do you cover the topic sufficiently. What are you missing?
.
To get more click throughs review your meta description - does it look like something you would click through to see.

Thanks, I will review and update if needed. I am getting a lot of impressions but clicks are lacking. I will spend some time and improve the meta description.

Great!

It would be highly unusual, though not impossible to get more clicks than impressions. Are you talking about the results of an ad campaign, or what?

I am not doing ads. I am trying to get more people to click my posts.
