Refocusing.
Hey guys, so I have a confession. I have been a bit distracted lately.
I haven't been focused as much as I should have been at WA and working on my websites. Yes, I have logged in everyday and told myself I'd get more done today. But I let the smallest things distract me.
Being distracted is very easy for me since I just became a grandfather of twins 10 weeks ago. My daughter who is also a twin and her husband live with us, so these precious babies live with us.
I remember my report cards from back at school saying, "Kevin is very easily distracted, he is a bit of a daydreamer." I am still a daydreamer LOL.
So today I said to myself that I had to set boundaries and refocus on what I need to do each day to make my time here at WA and my websites productive. The first part of that was to write this so I can make myself accountable publicly.
I know sometimes these things are easier said than done, but I am determined to get to where I need to be.
So, I have written myself a daily to do list and a section on what I'd like to achieve each week. Having a list makes it easier for me to be productive, I think this goes back to my time working in kitchens, where I would have a prep list written down that I needed to get done before we opened.
Wishing everyone a productive week.
Kevin

We all get distracted at times Kevin... no worry about that!
Just keep on doing what you can, when you can!
A daily or weekly list of what you wish to achieve is a fantastic idea my friend... I wish you all the best for the future!
Hey Kevin! No need to apologize for feel bad it happens to all of us…happens to me more times than I want to admit.
I too am grandfather to TRIPLETS — and they are now 9 months old so their little feet are revving up and ready to start tearing-up the house! 😂
Also, I’ve also am following Partha’s advice in his blog below which is helping me gear back-up. It contains some great points (as all his posts do).

Thanks for your kind words.
I am sure those triplets keep you busy.
Yes, I will be reading and following his advice.

Hey Kevin,
You're a busy man, but it sounds like you're in for a wonderful Christmas with all that wonderful family around you, treasure it. :)
The main GREAT thing here is that you've realised these things for yourself, and you're willing to do something about it.
WELL DONE YOU!
Although not completely relevant, here's a blog post I wrote a few weeks ago.
It focuses mainly on how I would start a new website, but the latter half I also go through my own concentration and productivity tips.
The point I'm trying to get across in this blog post is, it's not about how much time you work, but it's about how much time you ACTUALLY WORK.
There's a difference between "being busy" and actually "working".
This is also why I've mentioned that you should keep your "work blocks" very, very short, but completely free from distraction.
This is also how I manage to get more done in 2-3 hours than many people may in 2-3 days.
Anyway, here it is, enjoy! Allow Me to Blow Your NEW WEBSITE Creation Mind Partha
Thanks for this. Yes, Christmas will be special.
I am going to read your post and take anything I learn and apply it.
Thanks
Kevin
