Who woulda thunk it?
Oh my! I know ranking scores don't mean much monetarily but it certainly does give one encouragement along the way to success. I've been a bit slow off the starting block. I've been a Premium member for over two years and just now getting around to going through the training with a sense of purpose. See! You really don't have to be smart to do this. :-)
But now I'm on a roll. With the examples set by WA members and the continual training, I'm actually starting to believe I can make this happen. I never doubted WA would work, just look at all the tools WA provides to use to our advantage. I just wasn't convinced I could, or more accurately, would do what is necessary to make it happen for me.
I shot myself down in flames
I was convinced I couldn't possibly write 1,000 words or more about anything. I'm one of those short and to the point types. So, I started writing a practice article about the impossibility to write that much without packing it full of unnecessary fluff and beating around the bush.
Hell-bent on proving a point, I was typing away and after a bit I happened to look down at the word count. 1,700 words and I was still going!! I just chuckled, deleted what I had written, and type out the following: There goes that excuse, KC.
There have been distractions along the way but there's really no justification for being the late bloomer that I became. I suppose, though, that being late is better than being dead-in-the-water. But Blooming now I am.
I won't sit here and say I'm going to set the world on fire, walk on water, or any of that kind of hype. I will say that I'm committed to making WA work for me and to help as many people along the way as possible both as a member here and via my efforts online.
I'm having fun and feel like I'm part of something positive. That's all that really matters anyway, right?
‘nuf said. I got to get back to my training.
