Ouch...that's not good at all.

Members who don't know any better can get into a great deal of trouble if they use pictures which should not be used as 'free'.

There are those who have been sued for doing so as it's copyright infringement, and users have been subjected to legal actions, along with hefty fines.

If a picture, an image, a whatever, is not CC0, unless you actually buy the rights to use it, then stay away.

You're welcome, Sharlee... I hope those who read this post will come over again and update their facts before something bad happens.

There are organizations out there who make a living by finding webmasters who use pictures illegally...and have them sued.

I read just the other day about somebody who were sued $140'000 for ONE copyrighted image! [shivers]

Wow...that's a lot to be done for just because of one image. These things make my hair go on end and send shivers up and down my spine...scary stuff...and the scariest part is that these things actually happen.
