Is email marketing becoming extinct
Recently I received a private invitation to a closed event, past experiences have made me cautious and I thought is it a scam, on checking the invite came from a gentleman by the name of Andrew Reynolds.
Being the curious person that I am I decided to look at the invitation, it was a limited offer and it does seem a very good opportunity however it is not for the faint of heart or someone with a limited budget.
It is kind of like on a franchise business deal, three packages from just under £2000 to £8500, this man did start from nothing and is respected in the industry, he also does a fair amount for charitable causes.
In the presentation he was talking about the future of online marketing and suggested that over time email marketing will be dead in the water. More interactive ways of marketing will over take this through the use of media,
Is the face of internet marketing moving towards another level, I guess when you consider the amount of more and more apps coming along there will be change,, however I am hoping it is not too soon as I am only learning email marketing.
He also has his own training bootcamp and offers a free ebook however within the two bonus gifts there is a free one month at his bootcamp and some other information. What caught my eye was the title of the book .
Basically it is a method that you start with £10 and turn it into profit, he did this experiment with school children and the best result in a short time was a profit of £410 I am going to purchase this book the profits go to a charity for children.
I think it will be worth the read once I have read it will be doing a review., so I am hoping email marketing is not about to depart anytime soon.
I kind of feel I will just master it all and the game plan changes once more ,, aww well such is the speed of the online world.

Hi Katie; I agree with Andrew. The fate of email marketing is only too apparent. Just think how many emails we receive each day. Personally, not including WA, I get on average about 50 to 60 emails every day on 3 different sites.
I've gotten into the habit of scanning senders and junking those I don't truly know regardless of the supposed content of the email. That brings down the total to around 12 that I take time to read or check out.
So much for email marketing. All those I trash are probably people trying to get me to 'buy' something that will make me 'smarter, lighter, better built or healthier'. NOT INTERESTED!
I really believe that the future of online marketing is with organizations like WA and specifically with what I call 'Market-Specific Websites'. By this I mean sites which cater to a very focused segment of the online market.
My site, for example, focuses on people with low or limited income and their inability to make ends meet where food is concerned. That is a huge segment of the online population. I have discovered that people may not eat well, but they do have a computer to read how to do better.
That's where I think we are headed and we are on the cutting edge here at WA. Market-Specific Websites will be the wave of the future. Those who get in now will reap the rewards. Sorry for jumping on my apple box, but this stuff is important.
I agree, it was two things that interested me and that was about email marketing and the method behind the £10 to profit stuff, it also demonstrates what great value we gain here at WA
Oh I was not interested in the offer it was more on the lines of the face of marketing will evolve at some point, and I did want to check out the book but I will just make a straight forward purchase off amazon wanted to look at this £10 method

So specifically, what's going to replace e-mail marketing?........does your guru have the answer? Maybe social media? That would mean that Aweber and the like are going to go away, or make drastic changes away from their business models.....rather doubtful. I agree with you that it probably won't happen in the near, or even distant, future. Be careful.........8500 units of any currency is a big nut.

oh he is not my guru it was something that was sent to me and I am not joining that is not what interested me in the article it was with youtube and such like in the future I have no doubt marketing will evolve, I am staying with my own goals and all I have learned here think I might have to edit my post lol
What are the services and/or products? What is the 'franchise business deal'? Do you have confirmation or proof that the money will actually go to a charity for children? I have researched and tried many 'online marketing opportunities' and most of them are really about sales and marketing. Not an actual product or services. Just videos, virtual training or PDFs, etc on how to make money online. Many are not illegal because they do have a product - virtual training on how to get people to buy their upsell virtual training, etc. But as far as I am concerned, they are not very ethical and are borderline legal.
Some people are good at sales, they can sell people just about anything. If you are good at sales and marketing, then I wish you all the best. I am not good at sales and marketing, I prefer to offer REAL and Tangible products and services online.
There are many with 'names' online. They are very good at sales/marketing. Some people are so good at it, they can get people to buy their 'upsale' virtual products, and then, the next upsell, and so on.
I have learned that just because someone has made themselves a 'name' for themselves - online, their program may not suit my ethics. My suggestion to you is to ask yourself: What are your ethics?
it looks to be media stuff , and I do know he is a patron of the Prince's trust and you are vetted, I was not so interested in the products my attention was caught by the way email marketing may change, and I agree they do have great sales letters and pitches, I know what I want to be doing , I also wanted to see his methods with this £10 start up and that is in the book so no risk to me, and I am not endorsing his bootcamp I was kind of highlighting the value we get here, for if you wanted a one to one coach session with him it will cost you £99 and I think his membership site is about £30 per month, I am honest in my dealings and it will remain so., that was they way I was brought up

That being said, I read another study discussing how more and more emails are being read on mobile devices and thereby, email is "not dead". But, "studies" can be skewed, so I never take just one result and run with it.

That is interesting PJ as he was saying a lot of people now do not bother with email on mobiles time will tell, it just goes to show how great a deal we have with WA anyhow it cannot change till I figure it out lol, just going to buy the book off amazon to see the methods behind the £10 to profit , I think some of my readers think I am going into a shifty deal lol far from it , we need to know what is going on out there if we are to give good reviews and information
Sounds like a good idea Katie, I might try that too. Franchise for less than £5,000 sounds reasonable (I won't buy it, can't afford it!), and like anything, email marketing will be dead one day for sure, hopefully not so soon yet!

Hi - sounds very interesting - especially the huge profit :)
I think things just evolve - 10 years ago I was selling a document management program. These days, you get document management free from google and other providers, and only pay if you want the "extras".
So I expect email marketing will change too - how many people with phones actually read email these days? Probably a lot less then a few years ago. Most people I know live on their FB or twitter feeds, and wouldn't know an email if it jumped in front of them shouting "I'm an email!!!"
Maybe marketing will go more towards pushed adverts within newsfeeds etc? I don't know - but email marketing is still relevant just now. It may change, but it's figuring out what it's going to change into, and get in there early that's the challenge!

It sounds like there is a lot of money at stake here. Personally I read still mails when I get them from them I thought provides some valuable information from him. I do not think that email marketing is dead yet
