Have you modified your WP theme in any way yourself? Did you modify the header.php file or any other file yourself? It is possible that your theme may be displayed that from within a widget. Do any of your widgets have the words "page contents"? If so, removing that widget may do the trick for you.
Hi there,
Actually, there was this text "page content" in the header which was disturbing it. I managed to remove that. Thank you so much for replying.

My name is not appearing on the top of the posts as author. It used to be but I don't know what I did wrong and the name got disappeared from all the posts. Please help!
Did you update your theme? Not all themes show the byline. Also, make sure that you are logged in as the correct user when posting, however, you can always quick-edit the page or post to associate it with the right user.
yes, I did change the theme. Not sure if that is the reason.
I do log in with correct user when posting though.
Well, test a different theme that you know for sure shows the byline and see if that fixes it.
Hi,
It was something to do with the theme. I've changed to a different theme now, and it worked :) Thanks for helping.

How can I submit my posts manually in your Google Webmasters Tools? Can somebody please elaborate on that?
Hi Jyoti,
I think there is some confusion with regard to Google Webmaster Tools or GWT?
You write your posts within Wordpress and as you publish your posts they will become indexed by Google.
Google Webmaster Tools allows you to work with your Website in a fashion that makes Google happy.
Google Webmaster Tools reports various information about your website, you do not submit anything but your SiteMap in GWT.
Your sitemap is usually handled with your SEO plugin, however.
Here is a video from Jay that will walk you through Google Webmaster Tools, Hello: Google Webmaster Tools I hope this helps if you have more questions drop me a note.
My best,
Gary
Thank you for the info Gary. I just heard that term somewhere and thought that i'm missing on something. its much clearer now :)
Jyoti,
You are welcome, I understand how easy it is to be confused with all the new information.
If you need a hand with anything else drop me a note.
My best,
Gary
Hi Gary,
My website is not getting verified on Google webmaster. This is the message I'm getting:
Verification failed for http://travelsol.co.uk/ using the Meta tag method (1 hour ago). We couldn't find the verification meta tag.
Verify your ownership of http://travelsol.co.uk/. Learn more.
Your Google Account will be recorded in Google's systems as an official owner of this property.
Note - your ownership information will be stored and be visible to other owners (both current and future).
Any idea why its happening? I'm following the instruction given on Jay's video. Can't understand where am I going wrong! Please help!
Yes, you must use one of the methods described to verify your ownership of the website to Google.
In the video, at about 11 minutes Jay explains what to do.
He used the HTML Tag where you copy the code and then paste it into the All In One SEO plugin if you are using it.
The code goes into Webmaster Verification under the Google section.
Let me know if you got it OK.
Gary
Jyoti,
No biggie we will get it straightened out.
I actually used a different method but it involves using another free program called Filezilla.com.
It is just a matter of moving a downloaded file onto your website for Google to verify.
I think it may be a little tricky to try and explain it here.
I think in this situation you should drop support a note here; https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
Tell them that you are unable to verify ownership of your site with Google.
I think they should be able to help you.
Let me know how you make out?
Gary
