Text over image, anyone?
Can someone show me how to add text to an image in Wordpress, if it's possible?
I know a way to do it with photoshop and similar programs but just don't like the fact that it's all one image once it's exported out. I just need a few sentences over a nice image that I found. I like the text and image to be independent of each other, like if you wanted to copy the text, you just select the text.
Been searching but no luck.

Thanks for that tip Harvey. I spent hours today mucking around with html to no avail.. Canva worked a treat.
Hey benandnili. I've seen pixlr some time ago, just never tried it before. I will give it a try though. Thanks.
Hey. replace out this image url and text in the below... Then add it to your text editor of the page.... Hope the code shows... Let us help you save money!
Hey marcparsons. I'm not so sure I understand what you are trying to say here. Coding confuses me quite easily.
I've skimmed through that link last night. It might have the answer to what I wanted to do. Will see. Thanks.
No problem. If you are stuck, send me the link to your image and the text and I will include it so that you can copy/ paste it into your post. Good luck.
That's it! That is exactly what I needed to do. I knew there has to be a way to do it. I will PM you the link if I get stuck. Thanks in advance. :)
Create the text in Word or something similar on to your picture and then save it as a jpeg before uploading into WordPress.
Marion's right.
When you're writing a blog on your website, there's the option "add image".
As soon as you download it, you have the option, in Wordpress, to give it a caption, you'll see that below the image that's just been loaded and ready to insert.
There's also the option to add an " alt text".
That text will be hidden, but it's good to use a keyword there...
The caption will appear below the image after you've inserted into post.
Hi theresroth. I've seen Loes done it in one of her training posts using codes while searching yesterday. I can't remember the name of the post. That post was a few years ago if I remember correctly. In the comments area, she also mentioned something like WP removed the capabilities to do that so I don't know if WP still allows that.
Will keep searching for answers. :)
The only way to have the text over the image is to have it all in one. You can have text under an image by using a caption.

Marion's preemptive all in one solution appears to be the best option.
