Is it ppossible still to transfer the content to one of the free websites here on WA?
Thanks for all the feedback. My question was mainly out of curiosity. I was thinking that if I decided to let another domain expire, I could just move the content to one of my free options here at WA before the domain expires. As it turns out, there is a website: web.archive.org where a person can retrieve any content they just need to copy and paste. I really like this site because once when I lost some content on one of my pages, I was able to recover it from this archive.
But thanks again for responding.
Yes that is possible if you still have access to all of your content on the old server. For instance you could log in via FTP and download your content to your computer, then rework it into your Wordpress blogs and pages. Does your old site run on Wordpress, too? If so, there may be some other import options open to you, as well.
Because your domains on the free hosting by WA are actually subdomains; you probably have a good chance of snagging the same subdomain name for your free http://siterubix.com site, as you had with your domain.
All of that said, if you renew your expiring domain, with your old host, you could use it as one of your premium sites. Simply transfer your hosting to WA. (I can point you in the right direction on that, if you like—just ask. :)
Does that answer your question?

Hello GoldenLady. When you buy a domain name it is a yearly subscription. If you want to keep your website active, you need to renew your domain and your hosting each year. Hope this helps. Alanna
Why don't you extend the ownership of your domain name if you would like to continue with the online business?
