WA Week 1
Day 1: I looked around at some profiles, comments, and questions to get an idea of who these 150K+ community members were. Wanted to make sure I wasn't joining a cult(?!). People seemed pretty polite and helpful, both very big draws for me. As a success-minded sort of fellow, I deplore the harsh, negative tones so popular with many in society today. Anyway, I decided to check out some of the training...
Day 2: Clicked on the big, flashing green button to the left and Got Started! Really enjoyed the video and short article because it was informative and real. Watching the video, it was obvious that Kyle was not a slick, fast-talking sales guy whose only real interest was to lure unsuspecting rubes into opening the purse strings. Unless he just wanted to throw me off the scent by being sincere and honest while offering real value in the products and services that he and Carson obviously spent a lot of time, effort, and hard earned money to produce...
At this point, I was pretty impressed with the training and community, so I began building a network in WA. I've learned in life that a network of like-minded individuals makes success that much more likely, especially when that network includes those who are more knowledgeable than me!
Day 3: Got a site up with minimal effort, using my iPhone(!) and WA, while enjoying some Paraguayan coffee. You know, at that point I could have called it a day and felt like I accomplished a lot. But I soldiered on and later (after working on an antique player piano, soccer practice w/ the kids, and a late night run to the store) set up SEO and researched keywords for said site. Continued building network and relationships with those in it.
Day 4: Brainstormed ideas for my chosen niche, then created some pages and content for said pages. Did this intermittently throughout the day; used the iPhone again while out and about to test capabilities and used the laptop at home to finish. I also continued what appears will be an ongoing network building process.
Creating content for my "About Jon" page was rather enjoyable. Getting the creative juices flowing, developing a feel and a writing style for the site, and getting the groundwork laid for the structure of the site; all of these were activities that were just plain fun!
Day 5: Reviewed various parts of the Certification Course 1. Began asking some questions. Continued to build the network! At this point, I was confident that Wealthy Affiliate was a program that I would work with long-term so it was exciting to see my network build so quickly!!
Day 6: Built the network up. Looked through more of the site.
Day 7: PREMIUM!!

Hi Jon, love the profile picture, add some more I like your artistic creativity! Glad you went premium and I have been having the time of my life here. Been a long time coming for me as well, I had been looking for this type of community and training for quite a while. It certainly is a wonderful site that Kyle and Carson have built here and I will do me best to generate communication to help the community grow! Good Luck!
You have a great writing style JonMarq, it connects very well with your audience, which is me at this point and time. Articulating the message you want to get across is paramount to achieving success in the IM field, from what I have just read you will be very successful in any niche. Look forward to watching you grow. Cheers Mike.
Thanks, Mike. I'm practicing for the big stage so any pointers/advice would be much appreciated.
No problem, any questions just fire away, but what I see so far looks great. Cheers Mike.
