Welcome to April 2025: The Month of Being, Doing, and Meaning!
Ah, April! The month when spring is in full bloom, birds are singing, and the internet marketers of Wealthy Affiliate are either sipping their morning coffee with confidence—or frantically Googling "How to make passive income in 24 hours." (Spoiler: It’s not happening overnight, but keep dreaming.)
Now that we’ve left the first quarter of the year behind, it’s time to reflect. Have you been busy being an entrepreneur, or have you just been doing entrepreneur-like things without meaning? If you're scratching your head, don’t worry—this is exactly why this month’s theme is Being + Doing = Meaning.
Being: The Mindset of an Entrepreneur
Being an entrepreneur isn’t just about having a website, a domain name, or an account on Wealthy Affiliate (though that’s a great start). It’s about adopting the mindset of someone who is ready to take control of their financial future. It means waking up every day knowing that success isn’t an accident—it’s the result of consistency, learning, and the occasional cup of ridiculously strong coffee.
Are you being an action-taker, a problem solver, and a fearless marketer? Or are you just being a master procrastinator who refreshes Google Analytics every five minutes hoping traffic has magically tripled? (We’ve all been there.)
Doing: The Action That Brings Results
Let’s be real—dreaming of success while binge-watching cat videos doesn’t count as doing. To see results, you must do the work. Write that blog post, optimize your SEO, engage with your audience, and (for the love of all things digital) don’t just hoard training materials—implement them!
If you’re still at the “watching training videos but not applying them” stage, April is the perfect time to change that. Take small, meaningful actions daily. Even if it’s just improving one page on your site, setting up your email list, or finally figuring out what a meta description is—just do it! (Nike doesn’t own that phrase in affiliate marketing, right?)
Meaning: The Why Behind Your Hustle
Now, this is the part where things get deep. Why are you doing all this? Is it for financial freedom? To escape the 9-to-5 grind? To prove your neighbor wrong when they said, “Online business isn’t real”? Your why is what keeps you going when traffic dips, sales slow down, or when your laptop decides to update at the worst possible moment.
When your being (entrepreneurial mindset) and doing (consistent action) come together, that’s when your work finds meaning. That’s when every late-night grind, every SEO tweak, and every affiliate link placement starts making sense.
April’s Challenge: Work Hard Before You Work Smart
Everyone talks about working smarter, but let’s be honest—until you master the basics, you have to work harder. No shortcuts, no hacks, just good old-fashioned effort. This month, challenge yourself to:
- Publish content consistently, even if it’s just one post per week.
- Engage more with your audience—real people, not just Google’s algorithm.
- Set clear, realistic goals ("Make $1,000 this month" is great, but "Write five quality blog posts" is actually achievable).
- Embrace failure as part of the journey. Remember, mistakes mean you’re learning!
So, welcome to April 2025! Let’s make it the month where you stop overthinking, start taking action, and turn your business into something truly meaningful. Now, go forth and conquer—and if you need motivation, just remember: your future self is counting on you to put in the work today!
Let’s do this!

Thanks John! I love springtime, it's the best time of the year, but I could do without the POLLEN, driving my Allergies crazy, and an occasional cup of ridiculously strong coffee is what I have every day
Happy April, John! It's usually my favorite time of year. In Florida, everything has awakened and is blooming. It's already time to mow, but I'm letting all of the little blue, purple, white, and yellow flowers bloom first before I cut them down.
Thanks for the encouragement :) I'm always working hard, lol.

Mowing time already Teri??? I hope you are doing well my dear friend and all is going well before it's time to tackle the gargantuan task of your garden again!!
👍😁
Hi, Nick! I've been gardening for a month now. It got really warm in Feb (in the low 80s), so I started early. I planted potatoes, carrots, radishes, mustard and collard greens, 2 kinds of kale, garlic, and tomatoes.
It did freeze again late Feb so my tomatoes froze back, but they came back and have fruit on them.
I just mowed the front. and a lot of leaves, so it took longer than usual to mow them to mulch.
We've already eaten most of the greens, and as they die back, I will plant something else. Green beans are next.
It got up to 90 today!

What a lovely post, John. Yes, mistakes mean you're learning - and struggling to figure things out also mean you're learning.
I got my domain on 1 March and had a very productive month learning and doing. I plan to carry on in the same way in April. Thanks for the motivation. And Michael (MToback), if you are reading this, then thank you to you too. You are a great role model. Your work ethic and consistent publishing and seeing results are great encouragement for those who aren't seeing results yet.
To a great April for everyone!
