Make It Happen.
One of the major observations I've made during the time I've been a member of Wealthy Affiliate, is the amount of people that come here expecting quick riches.
Most people understand that WA is not a get-rich-quick scheme.
It takes time, effort, focus and determination to succeed here.
But there are those that ask questions such as.
How long does it take to make money here?
When will I get my first Dollar?
How can I get visitors to my site so I can make money?
one person even got upset because their website had been up and going for three months with no results.
They insinuated that WA was to blame.
If only they had done the training!
I have to assume they didn't do it, or they would have understood the procedures used to build a good niche.
They would have understood that WA:s not to blame if they don't succeed.
Make It Happen...
I'm an Aussie but I have the greatest of respect for one of the finest leaders the USA ever had.
But I don't want to get into politics here. I simply want to use one if JFK'S famous quotes.
What did he say?
"Things do not happen. Things are made to happen" JFK
Now I don't know what you think but I believe that quote sums up our WA journey.
We Need to Make it Happen.
We are fortunate to be members of this fantastic affiliate marketing platform we all call WA.
They supply all the training and tools we need to build a fantastic online business.
What else do we need?
We need to make it happen.
We need to understand that, in the end, it is all up to us.
Our effort, our focus, our determination will lead us to success.
Use the training provided, Use the tools you are given and...
Make it Happen.
You to can have Success at Wealthy Affiliate, if you make it Happen.
All the best. Jim

I once read a statement that " success does not come to the chosen few but to the few who have chosen'. We have to fail our way to success, on the road to success we will meet failure but it is how we look at the glass either half full or half empty. We can have success but it first begins in the mind and then we have to work towards what we envision.
Thank you for reminding us, Jim. I don't express it much but that feeling is running in a deep undercurrent in me. Its fueled first by need (more money) first bills and then food/and then accomplishment. Feeling good about job well done. And I have a trait built into me that I don't like, perfectionism. I don;t want to tell you how many times now I have started over on my site. I just get going and something does;t look quite right and out comes another theme or I actually go and model something from scratch to put on the front page. Driven. I know it has nothing to do with affiliate marketing but it does become a big hindrance in my work. Once in a great while I will wake up in the morning and just lie there, for a minute. It's quiet and still and I realize nothing hurt, there is no heavy load on my shoulders, and I remember this is what I felt like when I was a kid, no worries, no cares. I want that again to stay with me. :-) You all bring out the best in each other.I just get wordy but you are all special. I agree, try not to rush it too much if you can afford to. I think it's v a a special time while we learn from the gurus (sp) at the top guiding us along.
Thanks Kathy. Just take it step by step , you will eventually reach the heights of your journey. Jim
Yes! I have had a number of new members send me messages saying they want me to be their mentor, tell them what to do, hold their hand and let me lead them to success. They have not even started the training yet! They don't bother to follow the steps they are given! They want to know some secret shortcut. When I have nicely told them they need to start the lessons then come back to me if they have specific questions, I have seen they go and ask other Ambassadors the exact same thing.
It is very difficult to nicely explain, you have to do the work yourself. If you have a specific question I will try to help you but you have to do the lessons and try to figure it out yourself.
How do they think we as Ambassadors or more senior members have time to feed them step by step instructions for free when they won't even start the lessons!
Most of the members here are very generous with their time and go above and beyond (since we do not get paid to help others, and only do it to be kind). We review websites if asked, answer questions, direct those to others who are better equipped to answer certain questions if we do not know. We offer encouragement and guidance, help when they are down and give tips along the way. We cannot do everything however. No one will be successful if they are not willing to dig in and learn.
There will always be the necessity to ask questions for those parts of the training that might not of been updated for some time or not covered. But the cast bulk if the training covers everything. If only people would stop trying to take shortcuts. I went through all the training carefully, and I still refer back to it from time to time.
I'm not a new member..but I did give you a marriage proposal in exchange for a keyword...lol
I never did get an answers...(or the keyword...)lol...
BTW, I am experiencing some of what you have mentioned. Even from one who evidently hasn't even watched the first video or a single second of the training.
I politely explain why DFY's fail...(not learning the skills) and how putting in the effort and learning the skills will lead them to success, and freelancing while building their sites.
(I have it as a template! all I need to do is change names and a few details..!)
I could give you an explanation of what I think it would mean in Aussie language, but it's a little bit to rude.
Well said Jim, you're absolutely right. A lot of members sign up expecting to get rich in 90 days, doesn't work that way if it did we'd all be rich by now. Gotta "Make it happen" Love the post Jim!
This is true for all things in life. Anything worth having takes effort and consistency. If it's easy, it usually will not last very long. Too many people believe the world owes them a living, it does not. What you receive can always be measured by what you contribute. Thanks Jim.
Best wishes, Rob
Thanks Rob. Unfortunately I think it's getting worse, a lot of people seem to believe they can succeed by doing nothing. Jim

Ahh Jim, spot on, sadly I fear you are speaking to the converted, as the get richer’s don’t hang around to read posts unles it’s answering one of those questions previously mentioned or quick resolution with minimum in or output...
Great post and find JFK a really motivational speaker, love the quote...👍
Thank you Cordeliam
