A couple of months ago, I went with my hubby to a sales seminar and the trainer talks about the art of persuasion ...



When you use these powerful persuasive phrases or words, they will certainly help you to close more sales and also to get your prospective clients or WA program prospects to take Action Now!

So, it makes sense to try to use them in your videos or your quality contents! The funny thing is your prospective prospects will unknowingly be persuaded to take action without even realizing it!

Now, that is what I call the "Beauty of "Persuasion"!!

Hi Jewels, yes I have been flying for many years as it is a great passion of mine (since I was 5 yrs old). The above photo was taken while I was residing in South Africa - type A/C was a DH Tiger Moth by-plane tandem open cockpit built in the early 1930's ,,,,very tricky when it came to ground handling, but once airborne she flew like a dream. You should let me take you up someday and allow me to share the wonder world of aviation. Take care and stay gold, Johan.

Here are some of my thoughts, though:

1. In the list of these 7 phrases, #3 and #5 are clearly love-phrases. Do you agree if I say it's pretty difficult to say these things to your customers?

2. I am not really sure if the second list is exceptionally persuasive. Especially from the marketing perspective.

I collect the persuasive words too and I think there are words that are more persuasive (if you put them into your headline or Calls-to-Action):

Few examples:

1. you
2. your
3. quick
4. terrific
5. simple
6. easy

Why is "you" highly persuasive word? Because the most important thing in the world is you.

The same with "your".

I did not want to be critical. Far from it, ma'am :)

There was something in your post, though, that I did not feel comfortable with.

Let me explain and see if you agree.

On August 9, 2016, Seth Godin wrote a 3 line long blog post. It's this:

When you exaggerate the things that people associate with you, your presence and your contribution, does it make you a better version of yourself?

We see it everywhere around us. And especially in the internet. Seth Godin sees it as well, that's why he writes about it.

Now in the post above you had a subtitle: "7 Most Powerful Words of Persuasion."

Here the word "most" tells readers that these 7 words are MOST powerful Persuasion words in the world and there is NOT a single word more powerful than these 7.

If you claim this, I expect you give me some proof to make your words trustworthy.

Otherwise (and especially if I can find other, more powerful persuasion words) I come to a conclusion: "Ahh, that's just another example of a typical exaggeration. Seen that before."

And then, what about your reputation as a marketer and info provider?

That's why I always try to stand behind my words. Exaggeration, as you see, eventually won't do us any good.

That's my point.
