Hi everyone!

Like many of my good friends here, I have received recent news that some of my posts have now been indexed by google, great!!

But my problem is that my Niche is about dog care and wellbeing and I am not a qualified Vet or medical professional, so can anyone help me by telling me what I should say?

Is there a legal template or something I should use or can I just write the basic information in my own words and that is enough?

Thanks a lot in advance for all your help!

Nick

Thanks alot for your answer Lisa. I have included the following statement near the top of all my posts;

At "website name", we are not qualified veterinarians or animal nutritionists. The information that we provide is general and educational information only and is not a substitute for professional advice.

Do you think that this covers me adequately, or should I write something else?

THanks for your time.

So far, they have said everything that I would suggest, Nick! Make sure though that they are in bold--at least that is what I would do!

Hi Nick, have you looked at the templates in site content. I have a medical disclaimer on my site because my niche is in health

Hi Michael, thanks for replying.
I looked at the templates in site content but they only cover affiliate marketing disclosure issues so are different to my needs.

Thanks again for your imput,

Nick

Hi - take a look at my latest blog post.

Thanks for the advice Diane, interesting blog.
So as I understand it, as long as we write something, even in our own words explaining we are not medical professionals and it is information or point of view only, then we are legally covered?

Thanks again, Nick

Hi - realistically, no disclaimer can entirely protect you from legal action. However, having one on your site, it makes it less likely and shows you have taken a responsible action.

Hi again Diane, that I didn't know!!
So there is no way any of us can be 100% protected?
That is definitely something to think about seriously.
Thank you very much for the info
