Just wondering if you cancel your premium membership, does your account refer back to a Free One so that you can still refer people to Wa ?
This page goes over what each will get as a affiliate and for the members not to sure about after you are a memeber and go back down to affiliate. But i hope this helps . Day 1: Getting Rolling
yes as a new free member you can get paid, you would just earn more as a premium
STARTER Member Commissions:
Initial $19 offer, Commission = $4
$47/mth, Commission = $11.25 recurring
$359/year, Commission = $87.50 recurring
Affiliate status is always free, otherwise no business would have them. If what Kathy331 states is true, WA would be the first to discourage affiliates... their biggest source of income via new members.
WA is like any other affiliate program in that if you leave the program you lose the benefits. If you stopped being an amazon affiliate, would you expect them to continue to pay you? No, you would not.
yes, but why would any company want you to stop referring people to them.
I am not "Stopping" being an affiliate, I am just stopping premium membership.
I don't have to pay amazon to refer people to their products.
and when you stop being an amazon affiliate, it would be up to you to remove any affiliate links you have posted on your site. Amazon would not stop taking sales from people who came to their site via your site just because you are not an affiliate with them.
What you are paying for at WA is the training, hosting and support, the affiliate program comes with that. It seems to me your real issue is that you can't drop from a premium to a free member.
Not quite true, Pisces, Empower Network charges $19.95 a month to become an affiliate. Like everything else about Empower, you pay them to promote their business.
Absolutely unreal.... but thanks. How in heaven does anyone accept that? You would have to overcome the cost before you profit, and the profit must certainly forbid joining in that case :-(
Once you upgrade to premium you can't go back to starter and as Tommy has said, you don't get referrals. However, if you decide to come back you can pick up where you left off.
cant believe that.. seems kind of crooked and ridiculous, I am surprised to see something like this come from WA
I'm sure if you send a message to Kyle he'll explain it fully, but you need to be an active member to get payments for referrals. :)
Can you let me know Kyles response? I don't know of any affiliate programme that continues to pay after you leave so would be interested to hear what he has to say. :)
Will let you know, to me not paying for a premium membership shouldn't mean I can't refer people to WA.
That seems odd, so If I built an entire site devoted to getting people to sign up for wa, and then I cancel my premium membership, they don't want me sending people to them anymore?
Sure they do, and you will get paid for it at the free member rate I believe. You would have to transfer your site to another server though, non-members can not use the servers here

Hey everyone, I know that for my sites I always aim for a .com
But I am going to be building a website for a friend of mine that runs a local contractor construction busin
Hi Jesse, I would go for his business name with a .com if you can get it. I used to have my own business website for my offline business and its a great way to get leads, so don't see it as not able to generate a lot of traffic as it can really increase his customer base. Heres what I did which might be helpful to you. Use keywords that prospective customers would search for and include a blog for articles to build content. A weekly / fortnightly article on solving a problem is better than straight selling.My front page was static with all the business info. I used SEO to target all the towns within 90 minute radius of where I live as that was my target customer area. Have a contact page for enquiries. I put the website address on business cards magnets and gave away heaps. My page ranked first page google for all my targeted keywords - which were terms customers would search for based on my profession and the name of the towns they live in - not the name of my business. Brought in heaps of referrals and saved me a fortune in advertising compared to competitors. Most people search online for contractors now so might as well use it to bring in clients. hope this is helpful and all the best with it!
awesome ideas for me here man thank you. I am definitely going to implement these things moving forward.
I've checked and unfortunately the .com is taken so I'm left with the .ca
I should still be able to rank well with it for our local surrounding areas though right?
yep, it will still rank well with the ca for local, let us know how the site goes when you get it done :)
Hey Jesse,
Seeing how the company is Canadian, it's fine to go with the .ca TLD.
But, if the .com is available, I would personally go with that as brandability is more memorable with a .com

Well I'm stumped, was getting traffic and a few referrals for a review I did. It was ranking on page 2 in bing but now it's completely disapeared?
I also found it funny th
really.. it hasnt bounced back for a week now and I've check back to like page 10 and nothing, yet my competitors are still in the same spot
One of my websites fluctuates regularly sometimes in a day from page 1 to page not found
really? well that helps ease the pain a little then lol
Just wish I understand whats going on more and if there is anything I can change to help
One of the ways you can affected is to be consistent in your blogging. It doesn't matter if you block once a fortnight or once a month or three times a week as long as you do it the same all the time so Google knows when to trawl your site For new content
Rankings change, I am fairly sure that Kyle says that Wealthy Affiliates or one of his sites rank range is from page 1 to page 16 depending on the day
Such a big fluctuation sounds strange, but if you are sure then this is a fact. I hope Jesse's page will bounce back again. Jovo

Okay, I've ran into this before with my other site but my theme had the options to remove it so I was fine. My current theme does not, nor does it have a custom CSS in the theme
FOUND IT!
hiding in my ( content.php )
copied over to my child theme and removed this code
<?php
if ( has_post_thumbnail() ):
the_post_thumbnail();
endif;
?>
Goodbye extra image.
little, learning as I go
just can't find the code needed to fix this, I've seen a few posts about removing some code pertaining to "thumbnail" in the single.php but my theme has no coding like that in the single.php

Hey everyone!
Doing some work on my niche site and I'm wondering now about pages vs posts for product reviews. I currently have things setup as drop down menu pages for ea
I don't know a shortcut, but I did this because I erred.... I copied the current page, then pasted it as a "post". Then went back and deleted the original write-up in its old place. Voila -- moved.
ya I heard it was bad to straight out delete content, but the plug in is called
Post Type Switcher
worked great
I always post EVERYTHING as posts after the initial few pages of content that I create (the framework). The reason is that posts go directly to your blog roll which tends to make your website appear much more active and they also get indexed in Google much quicker.
Yes it would be better not to keep sub-pages structure, it will go indefinitely and become too long. I have such a case, starting mistake, and not sure in long term how I shall resolve this. Jovo
