Thursday's Triumphs
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
First, a quick recap of Wednesday afternoon / evening, including a few images to put the cap on Hump day!
I ventured to the shop house to check things out at the locksmith shop house. After that, I went and got a burger
All in all a productive and relaxing evening before heading to bed.
Later in the evening, my mother called so we chatted for a while, and then I let her go and fell back asleep.
I dragged myself out of bed at around 7:30 am today with the temps outside being only 13 degrees at the time! I tackled the Wealthy Affiliate Community today, and got most of it accomplished.
That always gets the day kickstarted a little but better!
I also chatted a little with Mel Waller when he called, so that was productive. too. He has not been feeling very well the last couple of days, so I hope he gets better soon.
Then, perhaps, another nap might be in order, as well. This day might drag on today depending on if the weather improves a little.
It was then time to capture 4 images from today! After a cold start of 13 degrees, we had made it up to 27 degrees, thanks to the sun shining again.
I could not have asked for more.
In the early afternoon, I fished up some financial paperwork, so that was quite productive too.
Then it will soon be time to head outside and warm up the truck to keep the battery strong, and to also relax a bit. At that time, my buddy Kevin might call too. We shall see. That is never a guarantee though. He is having bad weather up in Nebraska too--likely worse than ours here in Kansas.
In the meantime, Kitty ventured into the chilly office to see what I was up to. Her winter coat is starting to get thicker, which will be good for her.
She was also searching for more food too. I don't blame her, so I went and fed her again.
The rest of the day's activities remain to be seen, but I really don't want another locksmith job this week if I can help it. Working with your bare hands in the frigid cold is not conducive to staying warm.
Problem is, we have to handle small parts, so it would not be too good anyway.
We likely will not make it over 35 degrees though, if we even make it to that point!
While chatting with Kevin, I captured three more images of the day--the final ones.
He said they were getting clobbered up in Nebraska! If I suddenly don't make it back to the blogs this week, then you will know that my power is out. I hope that doesn't happen, but it definitely could!
ANOTHER FRISATSU'S EVE HAS COME AND WILL SOON BE GONE TOO! FRIDAY FRISATSU LIKELY WILL HAVE MORE FRIGIDNESS. WE WILL SOON SEE! I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT FRISATSU'S EVE.

For whatever it's worth, Jeff we are at 42 degrees at 10 p.m.
I pray for those who are living outdoors in tents. The city officials are doing an amazing job giving much-needed temporary housing vouchers. We have a lot to be thankful for.

Depending on your location in CA, those could be voucher for illegal migrants mostly. Hope it all works out!

Hi Jeff.
They are not all illegal immigrants. However, they are without a home. There are lots of homeless in every city. This is not just in CS. It is in Beverly Hills as well.
That’s darn cold, Jeff. It’s hitting a lot of places now. Definitely time to hibernate. Let that sun shine! Take good care with Kitty as best you can.

I have no idea, but we will be in single digits with wind chills even lower for 4-5 days straight.
It will be coming sooner rather than later, Catherine! Then, if it does, I will be out of the loop for a bit.

I fell cold just looking at those pics JB. Then started thinking about one of my brothers who has been down at Antarctica for the past few weeks.
Although it is summer down there and the sun doesn't set, the temps average is about -28C. In your measurements that comes to about -18F.
Maybe his inner penguin is coming out as he gets older.

Hi Jeff, Portland in Oregon is supposed to get up to six inches of snow mixed with ice starting tomorrow, and on Saturday, the Arctic blast is going to be hitting us. Luckily, I ordered all my supplies yesterday (from Instacart), so I am suitable for the weekend. We have residents sick with COVID-19. There are 8 cases so far. We are on a lockdown, but I am negative. I do not venture out much. If I do, I always wear a mask. Covid-19 is still around. It never went away.
It's nice to see Kitty coming out and accepting your photo shoot.
Poor Mel; I hope he feels better soon. I have been dealing with some technical issues with my website, and finally got it fixed by changing the theme. Now it's working great. I feel more tired today because of the struggles to make my site function well with fewer SEO errors from Google Search Console.
I am glad you were ahead of the game, Brenda! I hope your cold snap does not last too long though!
Kitty surprises me at times too.
Hang in there! Soon everything will be running smoother again, I hope, for all of us!

It seems much of the USA is getting miserable weather this week. Some are worse than others.
Our snow has disappeared from the rain in between the snow this week, but it has become much colder and the weekend to be below zero
