Shuddering Simple Sunday!

Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!

Last evening before I went to bed, my Mom called me, so I talked to her for about 45 minutes. She was running a financial plan by me, but my sister still wants her to declare bankruptcy, so I really had nothing positive to offer her other than listening.

It was frigid yesterday, and it was even colder this morning with the temps being 20 degrees! I slept well over an hour later than usual. I might hibernate more later!

I got the coffee ready, food is being reheated, and Kitty was fed.

Then it was time to his the Wealthy Affiliate Community foray going to get the sluggish day kickstarted.

This has always gotten my day started on the right track for the past 4 years!

Finally, when I completed the first foray into the WAC, it was time to head outside and capture a couple of images of the new day!

We had risen from 20 degrees to 30 degrees, so that wasn't too bad!

I also talked to my wood guy, so I might have a small load today ahead of the pending snow storms!

I then went to warm up the truck while the weather was semi-cooperating, so that I could get my errands run. I don't think that the next 2 days will be conducive to that, so I feel like today would be the time to get them done! The temps seem to be inching up a little at the time too, although, I have no idea what the highs are supposed to be.

The images of my errands are next.

I ended up at the Neighborhood Walmart for the last of what I needed!

When I made it back home, I made myself 2 Grilled Cheese Sandwiches, and those hit the spot.

It wasn't long after that when Matt showed up, and he ended up splitting older logs right outside my front door.

That was a huge help! I have carried a lot in for now, and may carry in some more later too!

I will start listening to the KC Chiefs game as a break first. It has been a busy day, and I hope that the rest of the day goes well too! It is just a game, since they already have a playoff berth sewn up.

Monica also surprised me by calling me from work! That was very nice too!

It seems like it should be a relaxing evening after all!

I may or may not be on the computer in the evening! I'll need a nap before that if I do!

There are also some more plans to bring in more firewood since the snow forecast for the next 2 days is 5 to 8 inches. We shall see what happens!

I TRUST THAT EVERYONE HAS ENJOYED THE FIRST FRISATSU IN 2024! I ENJOYED THE PRODUCTIVITY AND RELAXATION DURING MINE, BUT THE WEATHER WAS DEFINITELY NOT THE GREATEST!

Sincerely,

Jeff, the BLOG DOGS, and Kitty

Oh gosh, Jeff - 20° is such a cold start to the day. And I thought things were bad here in Florida with 65° - it's usually 10° warmer at this time of the year! Glad to see the Chiefs won yesterday. Rick's hoping for a win tonight with MI playing WA in the college championship game tonight. Fingers crossed. Cheers, Jenni.

Thanks, Jenni! I hope that all is going well, my friend! I am excited about the results of the College Championship too!

Very evenly matched, indeed!

Jeff🏈

I hope the day turned out as relaxing as you thought it would, Jeff.

Sounds like it was a good day despite the temps.

My buddy contacted me yesterday and asked if I wanted to have dinner last night. He wanted to go eat and called me instead of another friend. We went to a Mexican restaurant and it was good. I am still full.

I get to make another trip to Brownwood today. But these regular trips will be ending soon.

Happy Monday, Jeff.

JD

It was, JD! I got some wood in, got a fire going, listened to the football game, talked to my mom, and then simply went to bed to await the snow, which I believe is out there right now!

Happy Monday, JD!

Jeff

Great, Jeff!

I had a long trip to Brownwood then to Hamilton and finally home. Then I crashed because my body woke me up at 5:30 a.m.

Happy Monday

JD

Wow, JD! That was a long day, my friend!

Now, Happy Tuesday!

Jeff

yep. I was beat.

Happy Tuesday

JD

I'll bet you were, JD

Happy Tuesday!

Jeff

Hi Jeff

The temp here is in the high teens, but it’s supposed to be in the 40’s tomorrow with rain so a lot of the snow will melt with flooding.

We have a sump pump system, just in case.

Rock On & Stay Warm! 🤘😎

We have some snow here again, as forecasted, Frank!

Glad I got the fire going good last night! 🔥

Happy Monday!

Sandwich looks good...would look even better if there was a piece of ham in there, too.

Working on my memoirs. I think I've finished a section and go to bed, only to remember other things I want to put in there. Thus far, am finished with the years in CT (I think) at age 9, and about ready to move to CO.

My other big action for the day has been to get a little moose roast in the oven. I hope it turns out good...Still some time to go. Also spuds and carrots in there with it. Yum!

Will you be hit by that big storm that's coming through? Our weather here is still unseasonably warm. A bit worrisome.

Sounds exciting to write about your memoirs, Fran! I look forward to hearing more as you go. What does moose taste like…

Susan

Mmm, it's good! No wild taste. My little roast turned out excellent. You use lots of onion; I also add slivers of garlic in the meat. This recipe called for 2 cups of beef broth, so had lots of juice. Made an excellent gravy.

It was cooked with potatoes and carrots, which is nice, 'cause then everything is in one pot.

Have had moose two days in a row. Yesterday was our first "senior lunch" -- they will be twice a month now, I believe. Lunch was moose stew.

Sounds delicious! Those one pot meals are great. Thanks for letting me know.

Susan, if you'd like a sample of my memoir, I've pretty much completed the section about my first 9 years of life in Connecticut. I can PM it to you if you'd like. I think it's about 9 pages long...

I thought so too, Fran. If I would have had ham, that would have been great.

Alas, I used what I had on hand.

It has already hit us, perhaps not too bad, but bad enough. The fire is going again now.

I hope your good weather continues.

That would be fantastic, Fran. Please feel free to send to me via PM. I look forward to reading your story. 😉

Bless your heart! I sent you a PM this morning requesting your permission to send. Since you've given the okay, it will be on its way.

Fabulous, Fran! I’m not sure I got the message but can’t wait to read it. Thanks!

Sounds like you were busy ! When you said you don’t have much to offer her but listen ! Hey so many times that is what is needed more than anything, we have become a society ready to give advice and our opinion ! Being there for someone and just to listen and really Hear that person is many times exactly what is needed !
So you really did more than you think ! We all need to listen more !

You are so very kind, Mollie! Thank you!

Jeff

Good advice!
