So that is my question!
My website will be blogs, and posts about calisthenics and technique tips but I'm wondering how to monetize it.
Will it be dropping in Affiliate

I just need all the training and webinars directly downloaded in to my brain like in The Matrix.... ZAP!! and "I know Web Design"....:-P

That would be the way to go forward, definitely. It does all get covered as you work through the training.

Yep it’s all covered in the training, just keep pushing on & everything will soon become clear :)

Reyhana nailed it. I would advise ALL new members to focus on the OEC course first, build a niche around something they're passionate about... Gain momentum and then (and ONLY then) consider moving into the "make money online" area (ie promoting WA).

Hi John, Reyhana has it spot on in regards to 'Bootcamp'. If you have a passion/interest that you feel you might be able to write countless articles on and find products or sevices to promote through them, then the OEC is probably the way to go.
There is a huge amount of information out there and in here, it's very easy to feel overwhelmed, we all have and still do.
Following the training will give you a broad foundation. If there are then areas you want to explore more then there is the chance it will be covered somewhere in the HQ. Also, Jay's webinars are quite outstanding.

Thank you Twack!

It really depends on what niche you want to dig more into. If you want to promote WA, then the bootcamp is the way to go, but know that it is very competitive and that it will take you longer to see results.

I'm not trying to discourage you here, just letting you know the reality of this niche. It will take more work for a longer period of time to make money promoting WA than it will be if you chose another niche.

That being said, I wish you the best with whatever you choose to do... :)

Thank you for your thoughts. I actually thought the website would be a much slower way to go, especially as I'm not sure how to monetize it, but your point makes perfect sense to me.

If you're new to this then I'll be honest & say it's unrealistic. The Starter membership is primarily there to show you what's inside of WA & to enable you to "make a start" in case you don't have the immediate funds to upgrade. With the membership costing just a little over $1 per day if you make a small lifestyle change (such as cutting out that cup of coffee each day or driving a little more economical) you'll likely find that it's actually quite affordable.

Can I make a suggestion? In November WA usually offers a special annual upgrade for around $299. That is a huge deal compared to the regular $359 that is already great.

Can you save up enough to make that payment? Once you have it every year it is the same.

Otherwise remain a free member until you save up enough for the $359 annual fee. I strongly recommend the annual approach as it works out so much cheaper. Never go for the $409m a month if you cannot maintain that.

Glad you like this site. It is the best training for any type of online business.

Cheers!

Edwin

Technically, you could stay as a free member forever...

But you won't be able to use most of the features of Wealthy Affiliate, you won't be able to add plugins to your site, you won't be able to use the comments and feedback sections, support, chat, premium training, keyword research tool, etc.

If you are asking if you can make money as a free member at Wealthy Affiliate, absolutely!

But since you won't have access to most of the training, you'll have to start looking for training on how to grow your online business elsewhere (other blogs, YouTube, free training modules created by other Wealthy Affiliate members, etc.)

And this will take a lot more time! And a lot more trial and error which you won't have to go through if you upgrade to premium.

You can look at it like this:

If as a free WA member it takes you 10 years to reach your financial goals, as a WA premium member you'll reach them at 4.

That being said, if you upgrade to premium you can use the comments section to pay for your membership.

Wealthy Affiliate pays you $1 for every 4 comments you leave to other people's websites so by leaving 10 comments a day (not more than 1 hour), you can make $67.5 a month - $49 for your premium membership and you get to keep $18.5 for the next month or treat yourself with a beer ;).

There's always a way!

Xaric

Thank you Xaric, wish I could Like your post more! 😁

Good reply! By the way, you came at the right moment to the right place. The yearly Black Friday offer is around the corner. Big sale the end of November. You will only pay, if the price is the same as the last 5 years, 299 annual.
To give you an example. When you are able to find only 2 premium members to join for an annual account within a year, and that will be very likely you find those when you stick to the training, you earn 175 p.p. = $350. That would already be a profit of $51.

So, $19 for the first month, (start the end of October) and try to earn within the comment section for the Black Friday offer.

You are in for a bargain!

I know what you mean man and I am sorry but I had to tell you the truth.

Take note that you can pay for your membership through Wealthy Affiliate's comments section as I mentioned above.

I am currently on the Black Friday membership which costs $299 a year.

Last month I earned $130 through Wealthy Affiliate's comments section by giving 20 comments a day (2 hours max). This month I am doing the same and by the end of it, I will have earned $130 more.

$130 + $130 = $260

Boom! I paid for a whole year's Wealthy Affiliate premium membership in just 2 months by leaving comments for 2 hours a day.

It's totally do-able as long as you are determined to work hard.

Listen, you seem very excited about this and it's a pity for all this kind of excitement to go to waste.

People who might be way less excited than you manage to succeed big in here!

Xaric

If you type can you make money with a free website in the search box above you will find some answers?

Of course, the real question you should ask yourself is are you prepared to work and make it happen.

You can can be a premium member with your own website but if you are not prepared to make the effort and put in the time regardless if it is free or paid website it won't happen.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I understand that as with everything, Consistency Is King, however my quotation was more sinned at how imperative is it to have access to the Premium access.
WA must have a fine balance between giving you enough in the Free but still making the Premium worth it.

True John the free website along with the free training given will teach and show you how to start building a website and what is required and as you can see from the search I gave you many have earned money with a free website.

Having said that, the premium membership unlocks so many more opportunities not just in training but many more features premium members will benefit from.

But before you decide to go premium make sure this is for you and that you are willing to make the effort as this is not a quick money making trip, you do need to put in the hard yards at the start and be constant as you mention.

Wishing you well.
