This was happening to me when I wrote this article over a year ago: Google Indexing Problem: Fixed! Since then, all my posts are indexed within a couple of hours of submitting them to GSC.
Some will tell you not to change the permalink but if the post hasn't been indexed, there's no issue with that and it seems to kickstart Google into having another go.
As you are well aware, Google works on Google time. However, you can request indexing via the Inspection tool of GSC.
If anything, it will tell you what's wrong. HOW to use the new URL Inspection Tool on Google Console And can you let us know how you get on?

You have fantastic responses here; kindly let us know if you require additional assistance.
Hey Jakob,
This is basically a link building scam - AVOID!
Unfortunately, this preys on people's need for gratification.
Sounds great doesn't it?
Here's a badge to show how fantastic you are.
However, you've never approached this website, had any relationship with them, and in truth, they have probably spent no longer than about 10 minutes on your website.
When you add the badge to your website this automatically creates a backlink to THEIR WEBSITE.
Basically, they are looking for a free way to obtain load of backlinks.
This is NOT a website you want to be associated with as they use underhand tactics.
Leave Well Alone.

Hah hah, that's brilliant. I have something similar planned, although will take more effort. I plan on reaching out to YouTube influencers in my broad niche and asking them for an interview. Doesn't guarantee me any backlink unless they mention it (which some probably will).
But folks might stumble across the interviews just the same, and could build good will for something down the road.
Passing out trophies, hah hah. Simple yet probably effective. Likely not many will question it as JakobK1 did. I saw a variation of that scam in self publishing with the vanity presses. Only they got folks to open their wallets instead.
Appreciate your explaining what was going on here. It didn't occur to me on initial reading it was a backlink ploy.
Regards,
Jason
Hahahaha!!
That is actually a fantatsic way to increase both exposure and backlinks btw Jason.
"Expert" interviews have a way of generating interest, and an interview can obviously be shared in many different formats, article, video, podcast, etc.
Tbh I often check out what many of these scammers and spammers do and try to reverse engineer their process.
I'm not talking about these fly by night merchants, but rather these "outside of the box thinking" spammers.
More often than not, they understand human psychology really well, and are actually quite intelligent.
Even "back in the day" the main forum where I spent the majority of my time was BlackHatWorld.
I think I've mentioned before, a friend on the platform was making 6-figures a month "pretending to be girl", going into chat rooms and getting people to sign up to porn sites... little did they know that they were actually speaking to a bearded man in his 30s, Hahahaha!!
btw, I'm going through my PMs a few at a time currently, so I will get back to you over the next few days!

I came up with the idea from realizing I search out everything on experts. Especially if they offer classes, because sometimes they reveal more than they realized during interviews. I assume others are like me and search out these interviews too, so thought it could be a traffic source while pretending it was about the person being interviewed, hah hah.
Win win for everyone.
I've browsed BHW for many years, although it seems rife with scams. But there are a few contributors there that impress the hell out of me and I look for their contributions.
I have maybe 100 links saved for threads there over the last couple of years. I really enjoy reading the journey threads, although most of them seem to peter out.
I have a ton of gold though bookmarked, and really enjoy watching the reactions every time Google updates, which is very frequently in the last year or so.
A lot of brilliant minds there, and not all blackhat as one would think.
No hurries on the email. I remember reading earlier in the week you were behind on the emails, as well as realize I'm not owed any answers by you either, hah hah. Take your time and I'll be here with hat in hand when you have the time. :)
Regards,
Jason
Hi BONNYO1,
I'm honestly not sure, I tried to enter that site, the page does not open and only the meaning gives a negative context.
I hope someone can give a more specific answer to your question.
You should definitely check before making a final decision.
Greetings,
Slavka 👋
Hi Jakob…Others here may know more, but from my research, like any other short url service, sur.ly is involved in spam, scam, phishing, browser exploits, malware distribution, adult content distribution.
My advice at this point is stay away!

I figure that out the hard way. It has to do with your theme. I’ll have to make a walk through video and post it so you can see how to fix it from with in.
Hello Jakob,
give more time, not all posts are indexed at the same time.
You can check through the Search Console for each post or page, through the URL, what is happening. You can also request that a specific post be indexed yourself.
Best regards,
Slavka 👋
Hello Slavka,
thanks for your help. That sounds possible, I´ll just give it more time. Most of my posts are indexed anyways, so it´s not really a big deal.
Sincerely,
Jakob

My dashboard tells me that my PHP version should be updated to improve the site health. When I click on "Learn more", it leads me straight to the wordpress website but I can&ac
You can't update php yourself on WA's servers. Contact Site Support. They will either update it or move your site to a server with the updated version.
If site support thinks it is needed, they'll do it.

Hi… Site support update’s PHP when they consider it is essential. You can send them a note to see if they feel it should be updated.

Got you, thanks for your help. It says "Critical Error" because of the PHP version on my site health info, so I guess it should be updated.
Thank you!
