Its not a bad idea as long as you get permission first from the original user to avoid any issues
Hi Everyone
For longer posts, does anybody know what code i would use to take the visitor to a different part of the post, like a shortcut?
Is there a plugin or a
I use divi and anchors. I just use the TinyMCE advanced plugin and enable the anchor feature.
Then just input them where I want them in the post and the links.
It also works in creating a library template as well. They will carry over to the next posts. I use it to create quick links to navigate post subheadings. I will have links towards the top of post and anchors at subheadings.
Save the format to the library and just reload it each time I am making a similar post. Change the content but keep the anchors.
Not sure if that helps or makes it more confusing.
Let me know if I can help at all.
Christina
Hey thanks Christina, I'm using Divi but I did manage to do it without a plugin using some simple code.
I might check out your plugin sounds like it has some other interesting features :)
Very good question, Jake. It is on my to-do list for today to find out. I also need that. Hope somebody answers us.
Hennie
Here are two links that I found. Haven't tried it yet. Custom anchor buttons in your website color How to add an jump (anchor) link on same page
Thanks for the links Hennie:)
I managed to sort mine I found a couple of good videos on YouTube.
For some reason, I cannot post links to the videos but I wrote their titles above in the post

How do you create links to sections on the same page?

Hi Everyone
I tried a site audit with SEMrush and it came up with this,
"The content of H1 tag on this page duplicates the content of page title"
That's o
It is, but similarly it can be used to target additional keywords - so I guess SEMrush is reporting it as a "waste" since you've merely used the same keywords twice.
You can look at this from 2 perspectives: use the same keyword twice & try to strengthen the rank for that keyword OR use alternate keywords in the titles to hope you'll rank for more things overall.
Don't worry too much about that - kinda 50/50 either way really :)

Hi Everyone
I decided it might be a good idea to change the target country in Google webmaster.
I changed from UK to US, I figured I'd make more money from the US
I'm with Awin.com, supporting bloggers, so I've seen this a thousand times. If you target the US, you'll need to adapt your site for the US - favorite instead of favourite, for example. Us Yankees are very fussy about stuff like that!
Here's another thought - Use merchants other than Amazon, where countries don't matter. Often merchants use an IP sniffer to determine which version of their website (UK vs. US for example) should be shown to a visitor. The cookies will usually be much longer than Amazon's one-day cookie and the commission rates will be higher. The products will often be different (better) too!
Love the picture of your pups!

Lately, my page speeds have gone from green to red. My website is now super slow, its taking close to two seconds to load a page. It looks like its the server, all pages have b
2 seconds isn't actually *too* bad, but I can understand your frustation. nobody likes waiting around for a page to load & quicker is always better :)
A good tool to check your site speed is the one at pingdom, if you haven't already it can be found here: https://tools.pingdom.com/
This will also give you some tips on what is potentially causing the site to run slow (but don't get caught up in getting a 100% score there because it's not practical to do so in most cases).
Without seeing the site or hearing what the pingdom report has to say I couldn't offer more insight than that, but if you do believe there is a server issue it wouldn't hurt to flag it with SiteSupport :)
Hey Dale, thanks, I just checked the site with Pingdom, page speed is 2.75 secs and 6.2 secs if you test from Australia lol
Can you have a look you might make more sense of it than me.

Just had a look over it mate, firstly - site itself looks good (irrelevant but just thought I'd pass the compliment lol).
Secondly, I ran a few pages through Pingdom through a few different server locations & the average page speed was roughly 2.3 to 2.6 secs... Honestly mate that's not bad at all.
Pingdom passes it as faster than 63% of sites tested, this may not sound so great initially but a lot of people test empty websites purely to check the server speed so essentially you get "false readings"... Your site realistically is probably faster than 70-80% tested.
But yeah performance grade is 92 so overall the site is all good. Not sure why the page speed has gone from green to red, maybe it was just a temporary error that's set it off... but I'd imagine it'd correct itself soon with those speeds it's running at now :)
ok mate thanks for checking it out for me, I was little worried seeing the page speeds at 31 when I was used to 80-90, but at other times of day it would speed up mostly in the mornings...That got me thinking it was a server issue, anyways you reckon its good enough so I'm happy with that.
One other prob was WA site speed is not compatible with my theme, divi/extra, now that's a bummer! might of played a part with site speed.
