Hi Jack, You will have done some of this but it's only 3 short lessons and will get you where you need to be. Step 1: Apply For Your Google AdSense Account (duh!) Please shout if you need more help.

if it need to go into the <head;> area then you could follow my training for google but just add the adsense code instead
the plugin also allows you to ad the ads.txt text when you get there and you can create ads you want and palce them where you want with this plugin rather than allowing adsense to take over your site with ads Google verification in four easy steps have fun Jack

Hello, I have a question about the plug in which I used when I added Google Adsense. Does the plug in automatically add the Google Adsense to the newly created posts? Thanks in advance.
I have already forgotten exactly what it does, but I think all it does is help you get to the right place to add it yourself.

I have gone to Google.com/webmasters and am trying to register there. I am not very knowledgeable about this, so when I was instructed to download on the verify ownership page,
hey Jack
a few other members have tried out my training on the new google registation and have had success Google verification in four easy steps might be worth giving it a go
have fun

The HTML is how the search bots find things on websites. It has nothing to do with your URL. Your URL is your website address.
I'm not sure how to upload anything to a website. I would look this up in the WA help box at the very top of your computer screen. It should tell you there. Good luck with it. I hope you get the answer soon. I would like to know the answer to this one as well.
Thanks. So, when someone refers to attaching something to my HTML, what is it/where is it? How do I recognize it?
Are you following Kyle's tutorial on how to do this? he has a very good tutorial that walks you through the whole process. its not an easy process if you're not completely sure of where everything is but with the tutorial, Kyle shows you step by step... This is the link to his tutorial
Setting Up Google Webmaster Tools and then there is search console
Setting Up Google Search Console Hope these help!
Thanks a lot. I will have a go at it tomorrow. I am sure that will help. I am only on level 3, so haven't hit that yet. But I need the info now, so thanks again.
This isn't that helpful. For one thing, it is old. But I was able to figure out that I need to attach a verification code. I downloaded the code but it says I am to my website URL. I have no idea how or where I am supposed to do this. I am not a programmer and the instructions Kyle gives don't seem to cover it. He just assumes it is already done.
Correction: I meant to say it is telling me to upload the file I downloaded to my website. That is the part I don't understand. That is the where and how I need.
