Success, however its measured, will take you a while
I'm reading a growing number of posts talking about the attrition rate of members at WA or that fact the few are actually making any real money and decided to add my voice as a new member.
From what I've learned in my experiences to date and through trying lots of other so called opportunities, is that it takes time. Strangely this is especially true for an online business. If you were starting a local home repair/handyman business you could set up with tools and transport and 'flyer' a neighbourhood ( English spelling ) and I'll bet you'd get business in your first week. If you do good work you would go on to build until you reached your max hours you could work.
Online is different. You have to choose your niche making sure there are keyword phrases with enough search but low competition to allow you to rank on page one (not easy). Once you have your niche you have to find 10 or 20 related keyword phrases to write articles or posts about to populate your site with relevant content.
You need to create the site and write the pages / posts with on page SEO in mind.
You need to create a site map and setup authorship etc. and tell the search engines your site exists.
It will then takes maybe 3 months for google to start to see your site as being of any value provided you spend these 3 months developing social pages and links and guest blogging etc. Eventually you'll begin to creep up the rankings so you start to add more content and monetise your site
Things will begin to gain pace and a few sales will begin to happen. As the whole authority of your site grows so will the influence you have over your increasing visitors and so will your sales.
If you're capturing visitor details and building a list then perhaps within 6 months you may start to see a worthwhile income on grow from there.
I guess what I am saying is I'm beginning to accept that this takes at least a year unles you are really lucky and fall upon a rich niche that no one has mined yet. So if it is true that WA has a large member attrition with the average age being say 3 months then it stands to reason that very few of us can claim to have made any money.
We are giving up too early. I guess it's human nature to want something quick and easy. We are scammed by messages every day of people making $22,378 in their first month. Of course, they're making so much money they have to try and sell us the secret.
WA is in my opinion one of the best education resources I have found for the money. It's not perfect and I'd like a little more Step by step walk through from finding a niche to having a fully populated site but it is there.
Message to fellow newbies, Give it a chance and report back after 6 months of honest effort.

Completely true. Well said and by being honest with yourself you set yourself up for success.
To quote my very wise mentor here at WA, "It's a marathon, not a sprint." You need lots of elbow grease and TIME. I believe that's the formula for success.
