"It isn't what the book costs; it's what it will cost you if you don't read it."
Many years ago, I was fortunate to meet Jim Rohn, a brilliant motivational speaker with a lovely smile, kind eyes, and a voice that was easy to listen to. I got to attend his speeches on several occasions and even bought one of his CD collections. Recently, during a house move, I came across those CDs and began listening to them again. Now I want to share some of his wisdom because I believe his advice is perfectly suited to our community at Wealthy Affiliate.
One of the things he said was, "It isn't what the book costs; it's what it will cost you if you don't read it." This quote speaks volumes about opportunity cost, something every WA member should be aware of. Yes, you can remain a free member and still gain good information. And yes, upgrading will cost some money. But consider the cost of not upgrading: the missed opportunity to access extra information and support that could significantly impact your success.
For those of us who have already upgraded and have access to this vast amount of training, it would be a waste not to utilise it to our fullest potential. (Yes, I am including myself here!) In today’s fast-paced world, keeping up with new knowledge and technology is more important than ever. My great discovery, when I rejoined WA, was the incredible capabilities of AI available to us. Without the training here, I would have thought AI was something only my grandchildren's generation would use. It never occurred to me that I might benefit from it myself.
Look at all the successful members here. They listen to the training, learn from each other, and understand that learning never stops. It’s never too late to pick up a new book, read a new blog, or watch a new video. So, remember Jim Rohn’s words: "It isn't what the book costs; it's what it will cost you if you don't read it." You will be glad you did—and you can thank me later. 😊
