Hi. My name is Judy. I lived the first 18 years of my life in Indianapolis, IN. Now I live in Fort Myers, FL. I have loved all of the places I have ever lived: Oxford, OH; Wallingford, CN; Apple Valley, CA; Carmel, IN; Waynesville, OH; Bloomington, IN; and Sanibel Island, FL. In my lifetime, I have been a receptionist, a punch press operator, a bookkeeper, a teacher, a typist, a secretary, a retail clerk, and a law clerk. Currently, I am a lawyer, trying to break into internet marketing. I also served time as a local planning commissioner and city council member. I have two wonderful children, and 3 marvelous grandchildren. My favorite thing to do before I discovered Wealthy Affiliate was to babysit. I have to admit, WA has been encroaching on some of my babysitting time. I love books, art and music, and learning new things. I also love getting to interact with all the fantastic people I meet every day here at WA.

My father was a picture restorer for the Museum of Fine Arts, in Boston. I grew up doing my homework in one of the art gallerys there. I remember sitting there staring at the Mona Lisa painting my father had restored about 1937. My mother taught me how to play the piano by the time I was 7 years old. I didnt write the songs, but I began writing lyrics at age 8 for about 9 years. Never got credit for anything creative I ever did. Not looking for it now. I met Nat King Cole in a barroom in Boston at age 17. We had a few minutes of fun. I was able to imitate anyone with my singing voice back then. I told him during a break I hated my voice unless I was imitating someone else. He wanted me to sing a song he picked out. I began singing doing an imitatation of his voice. He got a chuckle out of that. We finished the song harmonizing it together. I have a few good memories of growing up - some not so good. Lots of bullying going on - still is, unfortunately. I had to learn martial arts by the time I was 6 years old. I could tell you stories you wouldnt believe. Good luck with your WA ventures. You will enjoy it., Im sure. John Finlayson

Hi Judy - yes it was fun in those days. His name was Nat Cole. He said he hated his name and was going to change it. I told him I love short names. Wish I had one so short. Then I remembered a neighbor of mine when we lived in Stoneham - a Mr King. I said to him, why dont you add the name King as a middle name and save the rest. It will give the name a sense of Royalty to it. I never saw him again, but I guess he liked the idea as we learned when he became famous after that performance. He was playing the piano and singing in the bar that day with a trumpet player and a drummer. I had a very creative mind back then. I was writing a monthly newsletter to a Hollywood Studio in 1939. I loved the movies, went every Saturday, but could see room for a lot of improvements. They wanted me to write more often. John

Judy - I seem to have bumped into many stars during my life, I dont know why - like Debbie Reynolds, Woopie Goldberg, Tom Selleck, Jane Fonda, Jackie - forgot his last name - he played the Editor in one of Superman Movies. I almost took the door off to his very expensive car in London 1949 etc. when he parked in front of me at a gas station. He left his door open. Like I said, I could tell you stories you wouldnt believe. Wish I had the chance to get to know them personally - no such luck. John

Judy - I have a picture of Evelyn standing next to Tony Martin with his arm around her. The battery in my camera was weak, I should have replaced it. They held the pose for a full two minutes while my camera battery came back to life. I think Evelyn almost swooned by that time. Finally got the picture. John Finlayson

Hi Judy - the Jackie I was writing about - couldnt remember his name, was Jackie Cooper. Glad I didnt smash his car door that day.I couldnt take my eyes off him as I pulled away from the gas station. I missed his door by two inches. I was wondering why he looked so tense watching me while he was talking to the attendant. I get the feeling he might have a bit of a temper when provoked based on his past acting performances. He was playing at the Palladium in the Mr Roberts Production. It was probably 1950 not 1949. I would have taken a beating without laying a hand on him, if it came to that. I grew up watching his movie performances. I bumped into Frank Sinatra at Depasquale Resturant in South Medford. It was a bit of a shock to see him standing in front of me all of a sudden. My daughter Sharon was working there at the time. I had to apologize for my out burst when I shouted "Oh My God". He was amused as he looked at his body guard. Not sure anyone would be interested in my stories. If I had gotten to know them personally, then I would have a lot to write about. No such luck... John

This is a rare souvenir program from the Original West End production of the THOMAS HEGGEN and JOSHUA LOGAN play "MISTER ROBERTS" at The Coliseum Theatre in London. (The Original Broadway production opened February 18th, 1948 at the Alvin Theatre in New York City and ran for 1157 performances while simultaneously playing on the road. The London production opened July 19th, 1950 and ran for twenty-three weeks.) ..... The play starred TYRONE POWER and featured JACKIE COOPER, GEORGE MATTHEWS, RUSSELL COLLINS, GEORGE COTTON, LEO GORDON, LEONARD STONE, JOHN TARANGELO, CHARLES COOPER, GENE DARFLER, SIDNEY ARMUS, RAY DANTON, LEN SMITH, Jr., HILDY PARKS, STEVE HOLLAND, BILL TRAVERS and CHARLES McDANIEL .....
