I made my first sale! wait, two sales!
Hello everyone I just wanted to drop in and a quick blog. I feel I should blog on here more often but the majority of my time is dedicated to my website at the moment.
I just wanted to do a quick blog on my first sale that actually happened 6 days ago on February 4th, but I have been trying to look at my various advertising networks (CJ, Pepperjam, Adsense, etc) less often because who wants to be looking at a goose egg all the time.
But, when I started I constantly searched for success stories and it helped me get through the long days of writing and writing just knowing that one day it will happen for me too if I keep working. Even though I knew that this process is different for everyone,
Well today I needed to set up some affiliate links and I logged on and to be surprise it showed I had a sale from yesterday and had $7.04 in commission, but then I noticed that my balance was $16.94. After fiddling around in the reports trying to figure out what report to click I figured out it came from the 4th of the month.
My website was started in the beginning of August so it is about 6 months old and is currently sitting at 86 post. I get anywhere between 10-20 organic visitors a day currently mainly to two articles that are sitting on page one.
Here is how my search console stats currently look. Things have been quite active since the beginning of January when I was at around 75 posts.
Also, I wanted to mention that I do not promote WA. This is a niche website, but I do plan on promoting WA in the future. That Vegas trip just seemed too amazing to not experience at least once. Plus I would definitely love to meet the founders one day.
Anyways to all the new people, honestly just follow the training. There are literally millions of niches you can promote, I ran across someone recently that had a website that talked about nothing but parts for boats. Not something I would even think about promoting, but there is a market for it (A market with deep pockets usually). Plenty of things to promote, there really should be no reason you can't think of a niche.
My biggest advice is don't bother looking at analytics too often because in the beginning your writing to nobody and if anything it can be discouraging and a distraction.
I can't promise monthly income updates just yet, I have a lot going on, but I will try to keep everyone as updated on my progress.
UPDATE 2/11/19: Woke up this morning and saw that I had a 3rd sale! I am so excited!!
Cheers,
Huy

I am super excited, hopefully my family will think I am little less crazy now putting in all these crazy hours haha
Well done! It’s a great feeling to get that first sale as it confirms someone out there is reading and liking what you write. Also good to know the system actually works!
Thank you! Yeah, I am super excited and the fact that I had two sales within a week is a nice surprise as well. But I am definitely glad it is out of the way because I felt like it would never happen.
Exciting news, thanks for sharing. I agree the first few months is all about writing, writing and more writing of content.
Yeah, I never imagined I would be able to write so much but it truly does get easier as you go.
You bet! Just follow the training, Target those low competition keywords and you'll get there in no time!
