Snow and Northern lights

Woke up to the first snowfall. Winter have arrived for sure and the polar dark time soon set in.Here in North of Norway we do not talk so much about the snow and weather, because it is quite normal with a lot of harsh weather. We talk about the light or more precisely the Northern lights. For a week in a row It has been so cold and when it is freezing cold and a clear sky you can see the Northern lights wandering over the sky in all kinds of amazing colours. Here it is mostly white and green. It is a Magical experience out of this world every time. The Northern light suddenly appear out of nowhere and lasts only for a short time before it disappear. I love it. It is beautiful.

A Quiet and Productive Week

Well this week I have been productive and focused on my daily tasks. I had a roll last week, but this week it has been very quiet. That is life - it goes up and down. I have concentrated on getting ready some landing pages and improving SEO on one article that have had very little traffic. It helped a lot and now the article is indexed.

I noticed that Google search console have removed the indexing feature temporarily. I wonder if this will affect the traffic or rankings in any way.

I have two sites online now, but my first website is my biggest focus at the moment.

I have also been giving comments and getting comments. I was wondering if my blogpost had any impact at all.

Still the comments are very generic and the commenter talks often on behalf of "Us" and not themselves. And the comments are often very little specific in addressing the topics in the article .It seems like some are using the same script over and over again. Not very genuine.

I have had to reject a few, but not as many as I normally do. It was a bit better this time.

Some were really good and very genuine so I guess it helped a bit.

So Kudos to all of you who actually read my blogpost about comments and have improved their commenting skills and did a real effort to give some quality comments.

I also had time to read some blogposts others have written and looked at some training that popped up on my screen . There are so many gifted people in this community. I love that. I learn so much from you all. I advice all to go to see the training by other members when you have time. It is incredible how much you can learn.

Tonight it is Live training with Jay. I am not sure if I am up that late at night. But Iuckily I can watch it in replay.

I am so grateful to be a part of this community. Take care everyone! Happy Friday to you all.

Hi Hilde
Seeing the Northern lights is definitely on my list of things to do. You are fortunate to live in a place where you can see them although I suppose the cold would be a downside.
Highs and lows are definitely part of the building process for our business. I am hopeful though that the work I am doing now will bring rewards next month.

Best wishes
Dave

Well you know where to go to see them! You forget about the cold when you see one of the worlds greatest wonders. You will be stargazed. I can never take my eyes off it before it has disappeared. Some people think it is scary. I dont.

Thanks for the invitation Hilde. Next year when we can hopefully travel again, I might just take you up on that!

Sure! You are welcome any time!

Thanks for the glimpse into your part of the planet. I have always wanted to experience the harsh conditions you speak of... i call it my cowboy spirit.

I also appreciate your comments about the comments we all get. I can't help but wonder if those meaningless repititions come from bots as so many now speak of automation apps to cut corners. But there again, everyone is programmed it seems to some extent.

Thanks for your post.

Thank you Mark! Yes here is definitely the place to experience it. We have the many frosty winter nights spirit lol.
I actually think it is scripts some have made on certain topics to make it faster and easier to comment and earn on commenting. because i see the same phrases being used over and over again..

AWESOME post, Hilde! We are expecting some "snow showers" this weekend and into next week in Kansas! Too early in my opinion, but here we go!

Enjoy your day and weekend, my friend!

Jeff

Good luck! I am just looking to all the shovelling I have to do. Here it can come more than 1 meter in one night. The snow is late this year. Normally it comes in september up here.

UGH, don't overdo it Hilde!😫

Lol. πŸ™‚πŸ™‚πŸ™‚

Wow it's early for snow here, so glad it's with you. It's lovely to look out at, but always good to see it go again. Thankfully we only have it for a few days each winter as it brings everything to a near standstill. But that's because we aren't prepared for it and don't have all the fancy equipment for keeping everywhere clear. Frost is our main winter feature and it is starting to show. Enjoy your snow and feel welcome to keep it!

Lol! I guess you are! Consider yourself lucky. Here we have to spike our shoes all winter and shovel like crazy. But the white snow brightens up the dark a bit at least. The only thing I like about snow is when I can go skiing.

Enjoy the snow! Site comments, do indeed vary in quality. I usually reject if I cant edit to.improve them but just lately Ive had some good ones. I always ask for a question as they give me good ideas for new articles. No question, the more likely I reject but I always encourage the commentator not to cut & paste & give a good example practice so they might improve.

Unbelievably its rained here in Northern Chile 3 🌟 times this week. It hadnt rained for 3 years before that. But its still warm enough to sit on my balcony & drink a coffee whilst reviewing my WA mails.

Have a great day. Im always impressed by your dedication & progress. Keep it up!

Trevor

Yes. Please post a Northern lights picture. Once the desert flowers show here, I will be posting a picture.

Ok Trevor! Here is one for you :)

Thank you Trevor ! You are lucky We had a long, dark cold autumn last year and a long winter until April/May. Not very many sunny days.
