1. MY CONFESSION....

OK, first off, I would just like to say that I haven’t been signed up by Kyle and Carson as some weird, drug-crazed Mr Motivator, although you could be forgiven for thinking so, especially when I go off on one of my hyped up rants. Truth be told, I don’t overly care if I come across as a little eccentric, but I do care about wanting to help others and make a difference. I’m just your regular guy who signed up (didn’t even know what or who WA was a month ago!) whilst searching for an exchange scalping product (and that’s another story that I’ll no doubt mention in another blog!)

Right, the confession that I need to make, comes from a post that I made on a blog the other day, which I personally felt was of such good content, that it was worthy of so much more than the handful of likes and comments that it received. Here it is, the blog in question:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/heidiy/blog/3-month-progress-report

It’s so much better than anything I’ve managed to muster.

My confession, whether you agree or disagree, is simply I thought that if the blog title had been along the lines of ‘hoping to achieve 10k per month by 2020’ then this would have gained more attention than the headline that was used.(3 month progress)

This is turn, led me to the write my previous blog, titled ‘my PASSIVE journey to £$1000 per week’

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/heyday/blog/my-passive-journey-to-1000-per-week

Now, i worded the title deliberately so that it might gain more readership, which going by the comments and likes, I would estimate at least 5 times as many people read it compared to Heidi’s blog and I think it even ranked as the 4th most popular blog of the day at one point.

I’m not suggesting that we all rush off and put lucrative numbers in the blog headline, but a thoughtful and attention grabbing caption is a must, and I hope you can forgive me for my headline experiment.

2. GOALS BY NUMBERS

848....I cannot believe I’m ranked at this number, I think the ranking algorithm thingeemajigga is broken!

500...would love to build my network up to this ASAP

30...amount of new hours I would like to propose in a day, so that I can fit in my WA ‘work’

3. I NEED YOUR HELP...

I’ve decided that I need a catchphrase,(yes, I told you that I’m crazy) so I’ve come up with a couple, and if you can think of one that’s better, then please let me know in the comments box, this will be the title of my next blog

A. Make heyday, while the sun shines

B. Go ahead punk, make my Heyday

C. Your choice, please insert a better phrase in the comment box!

4. BLOG TIP

I’ve found that by doing a small contents table at the top of the blog, I can remember more easily what I want to mention and if I get broken off, I can save it and come back. Hopefully it makes it a little more reader friendly too

That’s it folks! Thank you for taking the time to read, I’d really appreciate you pressing the green like button too, if you think the blog is worthy?!

Best wishes

Heyday

Heyday

Cool, cheers mate.

Heyday,

What's the rush.

I started my premium membership May 4 and just went Yearly June 2. There is plenty of time to develop your craft if money is not your focus. I just watched a replay of the live training What is a Niche? and I learned that the niche is your audience, the man behind the computer screen.

Is he really interested in how you are making so many dollars per week? Probably not.

Does he want to know if you are person to be trusted? Definitely so,

Trust is built over time and can be broken in an instant.

I have seen the title to your blogs and have passed them up, because my goal wasn't to get a play by play of what to do to earn money. I have heard that hype before.

What I'm interested in varies to the time of day depending on what I'm doing. If I'm writing my blog, I'm interested in how I can improve my writing.

If I need support, I'm looking to offer encouragement.

I haven't done anything miraculous to get the ranking I have today other than to be a person that cares about the other person on the end of the screen

So I comment specifically on how a blog has affected me and I thank people for sharing their information.

No trick or formula to get a lower ranking other than being a human being that wakes up every day and responds to her emails over coffee and enjoys the life I'm living communicating with the WA community.

I'm excited and encourage people to be active by asking questions and answering them to the best of my availability.

Do you understand what I'm saying?

Because I don't want people to get into their minds that this is a numbers game and tarnish the value this community has to offer.

All the Best,

Louisa

Thankyou Louisa for your constructive in-depth comments, this is just the sort of feedback I was hoping to receive. Your thoughts and attitude bear all the hallmarks of an individual who is determined and destined to succeed
I think I understand what you’re saying but I would respectfully and politely offer a different slant to your last point relating to the numbers game. The last thing I would want to do is tarnish the value of the community but I do think that the numbers play a massive part of someone’s goals and for me personally, they are what inspires me to get involved with likeminded people so that we can create a better future for those who are prepared to put in the effort, and as a side note, this is invaluable for people who aren’t physically able to do manual work.
I really appreciate you taking the time to respond here

Heyday

Heyday,

I understand your point. Numbers do have a play when it comes to activity. I agree with that.

However if you just see it as tasks you have to accomplish to get a result, you may be missing the mark,

Skill comes with doing the action but vision is what pulls it all together.

What is your ultimate goal?

How does that impact society as a whole?

Are you bringing people to a spiritual experience or are you staying in the physical?

There is more than money in the pathway of success. There are millionaires that have everything but the love of family and friends.

That was merely my point.

And that is a very worthy point, Louisa, thank you for that,I do understand and appreciate now

Heyday

A better one is " I told you I am crazy" ...lol....thank you for sharing, I can understand your frustration, you are still on the journey, congratulations, Enjoy the scenery, the destination is still way out there.

Thanks for your comment Gus, I shall have to include the ‘crazy’ catchphrase as option C, I think you may be onto something here!

Heyday

Thanks for your vote Elores, I think that phrase has just nudged into the lead now,

Heyday

Heyday, A very nice touch to your blog here today and I can see your imagination moving along throughout.

What I especially like is the contents table as I think it respects the reader as well keeps you efficient in message.

This, a comment, from a guy that can sometimes put his pants on backwards, so only give me back a half-like of appreciation and save the rest for those more well-deserving.

Always Looking for bright-shining people and positive outcomes

Respectfully, David

Thanks David for the very kind comments, don’t worry about having your pants on backwards, you could be wearing them on your head and I’d be none the wiser!
As regards the half like, I can give you 1 like for every 2 posts, that should cover it
Enjoy the rest of your weekend
Heyday

Thanks Heyday. I feel complimented and cheated at the same time, yet Now I feel I've earned the "like".

My Best thoughts toward your positive outcome.

David

Well, that was an interesting read, David.

Here are my comments:

Confession: There's nothing wrong with experimentation, or trial and error. It's actually something that we need to do periodically to discern what works and what doesn't.

You're not the first to...ahh... express "concern" over receiving a low amount of comments. Someone just wrote an incredible training on Instagram - I mean, this was top notch - and he didn't even receive 30 likes at the time! Everything has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Goals: I've ceased trying to make sense of the WA algorithm. I simply acknowledge its presence, humbly submit to its authority, then just keep it moving.

You may receive the number of followers you desire quicker than expected.

Was that 30 new hours you'd like to create in a day or did you mean 30 new hours in a week? I wasn't sure if that was a typo, sarcasm - which I am a huge fan of - or just wishful thinking.

Help: Neither of those catchphrases peaks my interest, to be honest. But, I also don't know what you're trying to convey, so I'm a bit stumped.

Blog Tip: If this works for you, cool.

Well... that was fun! I tend to leave mini-posts as comments if something really captures my interest. My apologies for not giving you fair warning in the beginning; I'm sure you would have preferred to get a snack before reading...LOL.

Have an incredible day, David!

Veronica

Wow thanks Veronica, I’m very happy that I piqued your interest!
I know likes and comments aren’t everything but it sure is good to get a reply like yours!
The 30 hours in a day was very much a tongue in cheek as I am finding it hard to do everything that I’d like to do on here, especially regarding the training
I agree that neither catchphrase is much good and they normally mean more in one country or region compared to another, so I may have fun coming up with a global one...
You have yourself an incredible day too!
Heyday

I'd gladly sign any petition, David, to see if we can get an extension on our day. A 30-hour day should be more than doable!

You have become, Veronica, One of my favorite reads...I'd follow you just to smile and pick up on a few bright thoughts.

Luv the entertaining brains here in the WA...respectfully, David

You can't see this now, David, but my head has just expanded twice its size...nope, make that 3x!!!

Your words are too kind. Thank you.

Of the two provided, I think A is catchy. That is the value of writing blogs for WA...it makes us better writers and as we all are learning...content is king. Continued success to you.
Debbie

Thanks Debbie for your vote and feedback, I really appreciate it
Best wishes
Heyday

Your catch phrase should be something that will be relevant to all parts of your blog. You need to have some way to tie it to all of your posts.
Jerry

Thanks Jerry, that’s food for thought, I’ll come back to you on that one!
Best wishes
Heyday

Hi David, good tips thanks, i like the idea of a catchphrase, a or b are fine, Best Alan

Thanks Alan, I’m glad you’ve said that as I was going to have an option d: ‘no thanks, catchphrases are for gameshows!’
Best wishes
