HERE COMES THE RUSH!

As I view the leaves begin to change colors from the cooler nights here in the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts, I can feel the end of the year approaching. To me, that means some serious prep work should begin in getting my website ready for the holiday season shopping. Why? Because customers are already preparing!

WHAT IS TRENDING?

So, be thinking of the different trends right now in purchase behavior and what products and services are popular. Do a little research and pinpoint these target markets to focus on through the holiday rush. What products and services should you be selling?

Here's a good place to start. This "Christmas" list will guide you in preparing for the upcoming season.

In order to find you online:

Make sure you are using good SEO strategies. You will want to rank well in the search results and leverage your brand.

Is your website mobile-friendly? A huge percentage shop online! Also, more than half of Google searches take place on mobile phones, so you'll want to make sure it is up to par and ready for mega purchases!

Prepare some ads and specials for holiday shopping sales, then promote them. Digital ads work well. Add Promos to use at checkout, too.

Create an email marketing campaign during the season rush. Write emails that include some best sellers and other products you'd like to promote. This will increase your brand awareness! This could start with a lead capture landing page to get the email addresses. Then send visitors to a discount page. And, even if you don't get a purchase from the landing page, you have their email address to further promote your products with the campaign!

"Spruce" up your website for a real holiday experience. Add festive images and ads that will guide them to your products/services. The atmosphere of your space creates a vibe that can get your customer in the holiday mood! And, remember, make sure your site adheres to the sentimental customer and design it centered around good cheer!

Amplify your web presence and engage your audience by creating posts that rank well on Google, drawing customers to your site to shop. Work on the SEO of each post in order to appear high on the SERP (Search Engine Results Page), and communicate with your customers even before they reach your website. Come up with catchy titles to lure them in for some great holiday shopping!

So, take advantage of the coziness of your home on a chilly Fall evening and get started in preparing for the busiest shopping time of the year!

(Remember, there are billions shopping online!)

Why are the shops already putting Christmas stock on the shelves Erin? Because they have people wanting to buy the products.

It stands to reason others will be looking on the internet. Thanks for this timely reminder.
