I am about to upgrade as I have already created my first site but still need to do a few things to tweak it a bit. I would like to read more success stories on a regular basis.
if i could turn back time i know i would stick with one niche site....
it is a bit like building a wall....
if you only have a certain number of bricks and concentrated on building one wall or tried to build 5 at once ...
which one gets built quicker.....
no problem with building another wall after the first one is at the height you want....
as others have said you will see the motivational posts after you signup ....

Are you talking about success stories of people succeeding with their websites? you can find success stories on your dashboard you have to scroll down to the "success stories" scroll all the way down you should see it

You don't; instead of asking, why don't you take a peak at the platform as a starter member and let us know what you think? You do not have to listen to me, them, or anyone else. You make up your mind-dependent what you see.
You may follow up the training step by step at your own pace; I tend to do a bit of learning and a bit of implementing. Ticking checklists bottom of lessons, tasks, and activities asked of you to complete to set up correctly and guide you through the process.
You may click the training tab top menu and head to where it says Online Entrepreneur Certification. A direct link Getting Rolling! Anytime you feel stuck, you may reach out to the live chat here or ask your questions in the core training.

This business requires great research skills, so discovering whether something is "legit" or not should be down to each individual and their research skills.

For starters, look at how many members belong to Wealthy Affiliate. Surely, that many people would not be hornswoggled by an illegitimate platform? Some of them would surely have figured it out.
Secondly, click on the "view success posts" link currently showing on your page. Those are not fake stories. Those are from real people. They had to reach their success on a legit platform.
Third, read posts and comments left on here by members. They are all about finding a way to move forward. They are messages from folks who are out there working on their dreams, and using WA as the vehicle.
Look at how long this company has been in business. If it were not legit, do you think it would have lasted so long?
To make money, follow the training. For any new job, you have to learn the ropes. In WA, we are fortunate to have lots and lots of training to teach you how to move forward.
Then implement what you have learned. Choose your niche and add the affiliate products you feel are good ones. It all takes time, but anything worth building won't happen overnight. You can do it. Just don't give up.

It's certainly possible. It's up to you. Learn as much as you can about affiliate marketing, which should be easy with all the info offered you. Diane gives good advice -- unless you are extremely lucky, it's going to take some time. Build well and hang in there for the long haul.
If there were a get-rich-quick way to do things, we'd all be trying it. However, for 99% of us, it will require time and hard work. It is doable, once you get your website up and running and list your products.
Your expectations aren't realistic. Even many here who have achieved great success note that there wasn't a ton of action happening in their first year of doing this.
This is a long term game, and if you need 400 a month right away you likely wont be seeing it from blogging.
It's very possible to do 400 a month (and way more) over time, so perhaps you could build a blog here while seeking another method elsewhere for your immediate needs.

Thanks Diane, do they have a website builder? Can I also use my own technologies to build my website? I am a professional digital marketer and used to build websites before. I am tired of building websites though, there's a lot of nitty-gritty stuff you need to do to perfect it.
Yes, there is a website builder based on WordPress.
But do be aware, that the free membership is just a test drive, and your website will be a subdomain with limited options.
For example, you won't be able to change themes or add plugins.
I noticed your comments to Fran, and realistically, it is difficult to make any income with only the knowledge from the free lessons.
