Wealthy Affiliate - Does it Work? A Newbie's Success Story

Honestly could this week get any better?

This post is for everyone starting out or in that dreaded 3 - 12 month period when you expect things to happen but perhaps they just don't seem to be.

My Niche Site's First Sale

Site background: My niche site was created on 28th Feb, 2018. It has 45 posts, 6 pages.

Some of you might have seen my blog yesterday questioning whether an Amazon sale with no commission attached was actually a sale.

Well on looking back through my Amazon account this will be my second sale!

My first was achieved on 11th May and I made $1.26. It is sitting in my Amazon account.

I made money, real actual money! That's 10 weeks from site launch to first sale.

My Bootcamp Site's First Referral

Site background: My Bootcamp site was created on 15th June, 2018. It has 3 posts, 4 pages.

Oh yeah it happened! Last night I got my first referral to Wealthy Affiliate.

Imagine my shock and surprise after I made my coffee this morning and sat down to my WA catch-up as I do every morning, to find a Number 2 next to the $ sign at the top.

I didn't sleep well last night, long story short I am trying nicotine patches (yes it's a nasty habit) and forgot to take it off, gives me nightmares and very troubled sleep.

So I was a bit bleary eyed this morning, perhaps a little foggy in the head and as I'd never seen this before I assumed it was some sort of message from WA.

The sheer elation to click on the link and see that little graph saying 1 referral, it is a feeling I will never forget!

That's 10 days from site launch to first referral.

If I can do it, you can too

I have done nothing more than apply the training here at Wealthy Affiliate. I knew nothing of affiliate marketing before I found WA.

I am not more creative or smarter than your average bear.

Therefore there is no other conclusion we can come to other than YES Wealthy Affiliate does work, and it will work for everyone.

The only difference is as my learned colleague davehayes says - Applied Education is The Difference.

And just yesterday another brilliant blog from onmyownterms - The 80/20 Rule Applied to WA, 20% learning and 80% doing will make the difference.

So do not feel discouraged that you are putting in the hard yards and perhaps not seeing the rewards just yet. It won't happen by magic or by accident.

BUT if you apply the training and actually get stuck in and do the work, build out your site, create the content and follow each step diligently, you WILL see the fruits of your labour.
