Surgery Canceled for Now
Hello, my WA family. I have been around, but not too active lately.
I had my pre-op yesterday for the hip replacement surgery scheduled for next week. It turns out I am a very high risk for surgery at this time. There are risk factors that cannot be changed which means I will have a spinal instead of general anesthesia However, other risk factors can be lessened with hard work. Need to control stress, blood pressure and Diabetes. I am very disappointed because I was looking forward to getting rid of the pain. (Not allowed to have pain meds during this time period). I will just have to do what I need to do to make surgery safer for me.
So, am I going to give up on WA? NO! Bite down on a pencil and proceed.

Hi Betty, it is hard to control stress when pain is a large factor in contributing to stress. I know prayer helps tremendously in this area and so I will be praying for you trusting that all turns out well for you. God Bless, ~ Daniel

Of course it is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to surgery...I am sorry that relief is not as close as you wanted. Find what you can to keep your spirit up...of course your gorgeous smile brings sunshine. Its that smile in our heart that lifts it when we are down and I know pain does this. You have a good attitude and you aren't quitting. I'm cheering for you!!!
